Hi Rudy, thanks for sharing this video. You play very well especially on these professional organs. I do play also this piece but on a piano. Its more of an organ piece so I started playing this on an amateur yamaha psr series but now that I have heard you, my rendition moves back to the dinosaur age! You have inspired me to play this piece better and I hope I can upgrade my instruments. Happy playing!
Many thanks again!!! I'm an old fan of Lenny Dee AND George Wright -- each of them with such a distinctive sound, one on the Hammond and the other on the Wurlitzer!
Can't wait to hear your first selection on the Theatre Organ in A Box!!!
Wow!!! Truly superb. Rudy thanks for sharing your talent and music on You Tube. This is my first listen and I am an instant fan. It took a few seconds of your precise, crisp rhythms for me to get lost in the music. I will be a frequent listenter. Your set up is amazing (although useless without your amazing skill) I have an old Mac 4100 receiver. You've got my wheels turning with what I can do with MIDI and it. Inspiring!! Thanks.
Hi Rudy, Searching for this tune by Walter Wanderley, I got such a great bonus finding your arrangement. It's brilliant! Thanks for playing this so nicely(so nice...).
Rudy, I am a fan of Lenny Dee from years ago. I decided to see if I could find him on YouTube. And WhaLa! I found you too. Now I listen daily to you and your wonderful playing! Has inspired me again as Dee did years ago. Thanks for posting on Youtube. DL
Thanks Padded. Lenny Dee was a friend of mine. He lived 35 miles from us. I have followed his music before I was a teenager. We became friends here in Florida some 20 years ago or, probably longer ago. Many of his fans including me, Miss Him. Rudy.
@RudyRosa1 I always like his album covers, they were always fun, with him laying on the organ, or standing on his head, or standing with one leg each across 2 organs! the covers were entertaining to look at! ;-) We had a music store in our local mall Called " Mr Music" with an owner named Ange, and theyd play live organ over the intercom all thru the mall, and this would be one of the songs! ;-)
Rotosphere, Thanks. I appreciate your comment. The XK3 series keyboards are in my opinion, the best B-3 clones out there. I own a B-3. Its a lot heavier too. Lol. Rudy
Rudy, I can believe what you say about playing like crap with the record button on.
I know I would react exactly like that. If you had been on the scene during the early days of Dee,Layton,Grant, E.Smith,JackieDavis,Wright,Crawford,Griffin and the list goes on, you would have been right in that group as one of the best in country.
In my opinion you are the best organist in the country today. Look forward to the new CD.
Thanks Dave for putting me in their category. I was a big fan of George Wright. I just bought that Theatre Organ In A Box that you can check out here on youtube. It is awesome. When I get it, I will do some renditions of Wright's style.
To flyingfingersmark: I do have all of Lenny's Decca/MCA albums and also all of his singles dating back to 1950. I only count 42 original albums made by Lenny. MCA always said he recorded 56 albums.
I do know of one album that was recorded on location at the Desert Ranch Resort Hotel in 1961. Over twelve hours of recorded material was to be cut to 45 minutes. The album was to have been titled Lenny Dee In Person but was never released. It was to have followed his Christmas album.
Thanks again Dave. Lenny actually did record Summer Samba. I have it somewhere in my pile of records. I am trying to get enough new recordings done for a new CD. I need maybe 6 more. I absolutely hate to record. When I turn on the record button, I can't play for crap. Just can't deal with the pressure. Lol. Rudy.
I like your rendition very much! I used to listen to Walter Wanderley's music quite a bit. He had three renditions of that song that I know of. My favorite rendition was one he recorded with Astrud Gilberto on Verve Records. And as the song says it sounded "so nice". I don't think Mr. Dee recorded either one of those songs. I love the way you incorporate the delayed echo into the music. It just simply sounds Great!!
@wxcvx No Lenny Dee did not do either one of these songs...I have EVERY Lenny Dee LP ! And that delay echo that Lenny Dee used and Rudy uses ...LOVE IT ! Have it on my B3 set up also ! flyingfingersmark in Galena, Il
Great job, Rudy. I'm a new fan. Thanks for posting your music. I enjoyed it.

Love the bright sound you get with the B-3, quite unlike most XK-3 recordings.
Enjoy your excellent playing skills also.

Hi Rudy,
very nice played and very good Sound.
The original Organ Sounds are the best, but all the Keyboards try to top them...
Merry Christmas, and maybe U enjoy the Christmas-Videos on my Channel.
I had some Problems with Sync, but I work on it again.
