  • nossa que legal heim , bela coreográfia

  • Bravissimaa :D

  • So stiff and I also am doing a dance to a coppelia song

  • C'est excellent!!

  • Aww, no she did 'fall' on her pointe shoes at 1:00 ish... her ankle kinda rolled... scary but otherwise, yes, VERY good :)

and PianoGhibli, if this still applies I'm pretty sure this is Act 2 of Coppelia. It's the "Coppelia" variation even though it's Swanilda dancing, pretending to be the doll, Coppelia.

  • @PnutButterGurl he was taking her down anyway so it was an easy mistake to act like didn't happen xD ...but thank you for pointing it out because I never noticed it before

  • Aww, no she did 'fall' on her pointe shoes at 1:00 ish... her ankle kinda rolled... scary but otherwise, yes, VERY good :)

  • ache ela espetacular no ballet, muitooo linda e muitoooooooo boa em ballet (ALGUEM ME PASSA ESSA MUSICA)

  • PLEASE CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE NAME OF THIS SPECIFIC MOMENT!!!! please this is extremely important thanks!

  • I liked the slap in the gob Dr Coppelius got at 1.55. Expected a second, but it turned out to be a one-off.

  • Why do ballerinas dance on their toes? I never understood why... TT.TT Does it just make them taller? I noticed she missed a step too lol, but I used to play in a band so I would notice...

  • Grande professionalità... una sfida alla legge della fisica.

  • yeapp she miss a step but anybody who does not know about ballet or practiced ballet will noticed so bad we all who are making coments on this are dancers or ballet fans hihihihi she is lovely anyway

  • Wonderful!! Congratulations!

  • haaahah when she hits him.. XD that was awesome!

  • 1:55 :) he he he

  • Simplismente Perfeito....

  • THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!.....................KUDOS TO THE ROBOT BALLET DANCER....she is remarkable

  • Ow- yeah at 1:00 looks like she rolls her ankle! Ouch

  • In November 2009,my ballett school (and me ^^),performed Coppelia...I had only a little little part (because, it was my first act). I was a doll which doesn't move... ;), but it was so wonderful just to stand on the stage.! The wohle act was so nice and the music reminds me on it.... :)

We will perform it a second time...again in November, but in another city.

  • amo coppelia¡¡¡ ♥_♥

  • She's not meant to fall - I have the dvd of this and she doesn't fall in the DVD version.

  • no credit for the forever underated composer Leo Delibes, again. LOL tsk, tsk

  • strangeee,!

  • I agree both that something did happen with her pointe shoe at one point, but the purposeful falls she did were amazing, especially when she had to use a flexed or flat foot mid-air...super hard!

  • Pretty much the most entertaining ballet, but SOOO FREAKING HARD!! Gah, my feet hurt forever!!!! But so fun!

  • I´ld love to see it

  • she did fall.

  • LMAO at 1:55!

  • Even though it's meant to, it still freaky that it sounds exactly the same as how i watched it just last week, in the Melbourne Arts Centre.

  • Silly people! Of course the fall is staged!

  • Highly unlikely a professional dance would fall so easily, given at 1.50 she does hops en pointe XD It would have been part of the ballet.

  • you see when she feel the second time?! omg my ankle hurst (like really it hurts)

  • i dont think she was meant to fall on her ankles, its very dangerous to put that in there on purpose and it looked ver painful!

  • 0:58 OUCH! her Ankles

  • 0:58 ouch!!!

  • I like it, but I'm not a big fan of this part of the ballet, because I like the moves go smooth and elegant

  • i have learned about Coppelia from the "Tetro" movie. it is interesting. it is a comic ballet? is there any chance to watch full version of this ballet ? exactly this version.

  • we're performing this :) i'm in act 1, i'm a harvester :)

  • I LOVE THIS!!! oh my goodness, this ballerina really rocked!

  • I watch this over and over! I love it!

  • we are doing this ballet! i am playing a skelaton doll :D i'm so excited!

  • i love it when she smaks him =]

  • i love her tutu!

  • szkoda że Coppelia nie jest już spotykana

  • zapraszam do teatru wielkiego w Poznaniu :)

  • I love coppelia.. look this: /watch?v=83Vp5zcsHtQ.. is as beautiful as coppelia..

  • The music and dancing is so clever! I like the part where she slaps him haha....

  • I actually preferred Lisa Pavane's interpretation of that variation (Australian Ballet). Leanne was great, but something was different about Lisa's interpretation.

  • This ballet FTL.

  • that´s a funny and wonderful ballet and the music is soooo great!!!

  • the dancer is amazing i loved the sharpness of her moves

  • this is my favourite ballet! ever.

  • That is exceptional! Wonderful dancing! Great visual perception of this Coppelia doll! Beautiful!!

  • Apart from the principal dancers this is nothing comparing with the Kirov 's full version (l0 parts) in YouTube . Just look at 5 and 6 (inside Coppellius work shop the scenes with the dolls...

  • whats the name of the song i know is coppelia but which artist???

  • leo delibes

  • hmmm wheres the pas de deux with all the dancers

  • it's funny

  • my fav ballet of all time

  • what is the music used for this called?

  • Awesome dancer... love her XD

  • This piece reminded me a lot of great time watching ballet when I was a kid. Thank you very much!

  • i loved it and wish i could chorepgraph simething like taht x

  • go the ausi's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOO LEANNE- rolling your ankle and soldiering on anyway! what a trooper! xxxx

  • She does the "falling" things on purpose. She's acting as if she's a doll that isn't quite working right (as you can tell by majority of the dance). She didn't "fall on her feet" by accident. Though I'm sure it's still painful. It takes a lot of skill to pretend to be falling and messing up without actually getting hurt. She did an amazing performance.

  • couldn't agree more!

  • @Way3b

no she stacked it, go look again, she did fall, but an amazing performance nonetheless <3

  • @Way3b she might have accidentally fallen on her pointe's whilst purposely being gumby. . . maybe?

  • @Way3b Someone wouldn't teach her to roll her ankle so harshly just to act like a doll not working properly.

  • @Way3b she did seem to roll on her ankle though. However, your right she did do an amazing performance. :)

  • @Way3b

she does the falling thing on purpose but if you look at her feet she does have a slight mishap

  • @Way3b It is really painful. My ballet teacher, Ms. Nicole, made us do an excersie after we got out pointe shoes (A few months ago) where we are running accross the room, on pointe, with a parenter and we kept doing that... Sort of. It really hurt us because it weren't used to being on pointe. Some of us got them a year or two back because they are/were in two levels.

  • best ballet ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Escena maravillosa, gran bailarina.

  • is it just me or at 1:00 does she fall on her pointe shoes??? x lol x

    Lovely Scene aniway xx

  • its not just you, i noticed it too, :D

  • ah! I noticed that too I cringed!

she rolled her ankle when he brought her back upright....ouch

  • ... I was like... waahh.... That hurts D:

  • @Emski6 yeah! that look like it hurt too lol

  • @Emski6 the falling thing is on purpose, but in the second time, her anklee bent!! but she just went ahead!!=) love coppelia

  • @Emski6 yeah shes not meant to :( amazing anyway tho haha xx

  • @Emski6 you're right, she felt...

  • @Emski6 yeah she rolled over her box

  • @Emski6 I agree with you. I saw it too on the 55sec... and we are not talking about the acting part... she's just missing a step. almost nothing but not for a ballet dancer... Like you said, lovely scene anyway

  • @Emski6 she definitely does she just trips a tiny bit she just fell off her box..this is a really cute dance though :)

  • very funny when she slapped him!!!

    lol

  • It's a lovely scene. She then does the Spanish dance with a mantilla and fan where she fans herself and then raps Dr. Coppelius very hard. He takes a lot of abuse from her in this scene. Very funny when done well.

But this ballerina is too skinny. Her legs are like matchsticks. So many ballet dancers think this is a good thing. I find it very un-aesthetic.

  • I think they can look good either way, so long as they're good dancers, you know?

  • Haha...it was funny when she slapped him.

  • she's so tall. so is he.

  • Ouch, you know that hurt at :59, that was nasty!

    Still beautiful.

  • I don't think the slap was real. You can hear the sound of the "slapper" again at 2:06. Probably carelessness by the person using it.

  • No i think that was the audio...

  • She's awesome...and 555Fiver555 she's suppose to be like that b/c she's a doll...though I have to say her expression isn't very good...

  • haha. it would be funny if she were doing that while not pretending to be a doll, but she is.

  • Thank U !!!

    Bravo....

  • It looked better before the width of the screen was "improved". Those black bands down the sides make the characters look smaller, for some reason.

  • Complimenti..balletto stupendo!

  • Lei parla degli inglesi?

  • that tumble off pointe was nasty but she is a beautiful dancer

  • Yeah, Ouch!

  • I love Coppelia. This scene is fantastic. Funny with beautiful dancing.

Although at :59 when she collaspes into the Dr. arms her feet do something scary. I hope she didn't hurt herself.

  • that's exactly what i was going to say.. i hope so too

  • her legs and feet are beautiful, and I love the Dr. Coppelius, he's perfect.

  • I think the middle part of this scene is "Valse de la poupee".

  • There's a list of the music at the bottom of the Coppelia - Wikipedia page, but I don't know which piece this is.

  • Does anyone know what this music is called?

All I can find is the waltz!

    Please help!

  • It's the ballet score from "Coppelia". The composer is Delibes(SP?). I hope this helps.

  • Anch'io ho fatto Coppelius sulla base di questo video, è stato molto divertente

  • si ho notato che prende una storta bè puo succedere cmq bravissima

  • and Leanne Benjamin (Swanhilde/Coppelia), Carlos Acosta (Franz) and Luke Heydon (Coppelius, then he was only 28 years old!) are not only excellent dancers, they are also very convincing in their role, they have a make-believe that makes this ballet a faerie for children... and also for older "children".

    A dream.

  • I ordered this DVD to the Royal Opera House, and am very satisfied : although the Royal Ballet doesn't have the same "ensemble" as the Opera of Paris, this ballet was made for children, with sets, costumes, postures made to show children a magnificent tale, to make them dream;

  • what's the name of the song?

Coppelia doll watz? ¬¬;; I cant find it anywhere!!

  • in reply to studio 44a.yes, it is stunning, but 20 times better than Paris Opera Ballet Company

  • leanne is a dancer with AMAZING technique

and i loved her facial expression in this, lol

    xxxxx :P

  • ive never taken an interest in ballet but i happened to really enjoy it, bloody good stuff

  • who she is really skinny

  • at 0:59 she stumbles a little...but OMG WHAT DOES THAT MATTER?!!!!!!!! WONDERFULLLL JOB!

  • Actually that's part of the choreography but she does it so well that it doesn't look panned. Good for her, right?

  • wonderful performance

she has such gorgeos thin legs!!!

  • I really love ballet and i think she did a terrific job of portraying coppelia. i also saw how she twisted her ankle which had to hurt and i admire that she kept on going even when she was feeling pain. she danced just as well before that happened and she still had the same facial expressoin which takes a lot of talent

  • haha i love the beginning

  • omg..

from like 0:57 - 0:59 she rolls her ankle

    when hes catching her.. ouchy!

  • I love Coppelia

i think this is the best ballet I've ever seen

I used to attend ballat classes when I was younger but I gave it up i regret it now though lol

but i still have the flexibility to still do the moves aswell yayy :D

ballet is such a beautiful style of dance, so graceful and calm :)

  • 1:00/1:01

  • che storta che prende all inizio... poverina...

  • a good one.

I just dun understand how the old man doesn't reognize that she's not coppelia.. he is the one who made coppelia!!

  • yes sir

  • Yay! More EYB people :D Is that Amy from Swanilda's friends? If so see you in two weeks! :D

  • Don't be so stupid! Haven't you even seen a ballet? Thats not Amy, thats Maurice and its Swanildi's friends not Swanilda's friends! Oh the shame, some people in this world simply aren't up to being a ballet dancer, unlike me:Incontinentia Buttocks!!! Smoochums...

  • :P Where the hell did you get Incontinentia Buttocks from? Psshhh. :P

  • Incontinentia Buttocks was the wife of Biggus Dickus who was a friend of Pontius Pilate.

    What peculiar names ha.

    Monty Python Life of Brian

  • well said you cunt

  • exactly listen to DrysdaleScotland, he knows his stuff about ballet, obviously unlike you you pathetic litle urchin, now peee oof

  • shup tomothee x

10livelife are u doing the norwich one??

if soo see u at the casting day on friday!! woo!

    xxxx

    dance 4 life! x

  • that was amazing! She really looked like a doll.

  • I prefer the ending to this ballet where the odd Dr Coppelius ends up alone with Coppelia at the end of the third act. He looks very sad and lonely. He thinks she is just a lifeless doll after all but then she really does come to life and they skip off together and the ballet ends on a high note, pure magic!!

  • She looks like a real doll! 00:59 her foot sickles, it looks painful, but besides that it was flawless!
