One of the most important reasons why US workers were treated relatively well in the past was because USSR existed and criminal oligarchy in USA FEARED them. The oligarchy in USA always knew that if they mistreated working class they would soon finish because USSR would back the working class in USA with arms.

If it were any US program as a significant factor behind USSR dismantling USA wouldn't stop but continued with Russia.
