Amazing, a DC 10 that actually crashed for reasons other then it being a DC 10, that's unusual for that era. Even more amazing is that everyone survived a DC 10 crash.

Impressive - the chairman is actually explaining why the plane crashed.  Nowadays they don't give a flying fuck what happens to passengers/planes/etc. They already got paid.

Thanks for posting this video, slides of this incident are even used today as an example of a Birdstrike for training bird controllers.

Hey thanks! We are all thankful to have survived the crash! I still get 're-birthday' cards from my sister on this day. I probably know your mom, I was mgr of crew sked at the time. Take care.
