You have to bear in mind that the video was made in the very early 80's (I seem to remember the album was released in 1982) at a time when ALL the vidoe makers were "pushing" the boundaries of what was possible with the, then, upto the minute, technology and that it was competing against the wave of "New Romantic" videos of the likes of Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Adam and the Ants, Ultravox, OMD etc. Added to which, Jim Steinman, though a great song writer and producer, is as mad as a hatter.
