95% of remixes done after 1988 are done by DJ's(who know how to cut and paste but thats about it). Before 1988 remixes and extended versions were done by the artist and/or producer. It seems to me that the move to DJ was to save money but they pretty much killed the cd single/12" single by doing so.
This is not an unreleased remix, this is the dub version from 1984, remixed by Arthur Baker and engineered by Chris Lord-Alge & Tom Lord-Alge. The edits were by The Latin Rascals & Andy Wallace. I have this on 45 single, with the album version on the flip side. I converted my copy on 45 to digital format using my ION USB turntable.
I'll make the video showing the record being played and post it to YouTube as proof. Where else would I have pulled this information from except from directly off the 45 single? Maybe then you'll change your tone with me. I didn't mean to be met with a Valley Girl-type "Whatever," I was just sharing information.
I'm chilled already. I'm sorry if you think that's what I was trying to do. As I said before, I was only sharing information. I was the one who got the "whatever."
You made it playa ble. This belongs in da clubs yo, and it definately belongs on the radio on Friday and Saturday nights. I'm an old schooler middleager that live and partied the 80's, and i wouldn't mind going clubbing if mixes like this were on the menu. shaaaa, keep mixing Slance 1, you've got talent.
I may have 2 upload this one myself, in order 4 everyone 2 hear a clean copy.

I wish this were "unreleased": It may be the 1980s, but this is NOT The Cars. It sounds like every bad generic 80s dub/remix.
Yawn.

@quornholio This IS The Cars....hate it if you want, but this WAS the flipside of the 12"....

I HATE remixes. They always, and I mean ALWAYS suck donkey bawz.

Yeah well it's obvious that you can't compare this remix to the original song, but I say that these two remixes are pretty cool

Chill, I just don't like it when people correct me and stuff and making and idiot of me! Same thing happened to Ben Orr's out of print demo songs!

@Slance1 Being corrected doesn't mean that you are an idiot. It means you are a n open-minded and curious person. Peace.

Great job with both videos remixed. It's great to see or hear unreleased sounds and videos. It's like the Cars are back. Thanks for sharing this.
