I'm probably going to do this. I never use my SuperDrive, I only used it to install the latest OSX, but now Lion is available via download through the Mac App Store, and I can install Lion through a usb flash drive.

Thanks for making this video. I want to put a blu-ray drive in my macbook pro and I'm pretty good with hardware, but at $1,700, I did not want to damage my computer.
So this is for the 13" unibody "aluminum" model, correct? What's the part number of the replacement superdrive?

@TheSantiayo - You can't repair the actual trackpad. You have to replace it.
