@angeliki1994 Theres really no pain cuz they give you a few eye numbing drops before the procedure. It really doesn't take long...I'd say 15 minutes for both eyes.I had the same procedure except my "flap" was made by a laser instead of that thingy he used but I'm sure it'd still take about 15 minutes for both eyes- more or less.
And yes you can still see during the procedure but it's fuzzy and blurry, but the vision starts to improve within a few minutes after surgery which is awesome!
Did you get measurements done directly after the surgery? If not, why isn't that done? Is there a measurement device in the surgery room? From what I have heard, halos can form after laser eye surgery if the area that is worked on isn't big enough. Beyond what point of the dialated area did your doctor go? Was it 5%, 10%? What were the results?

Figyelem! A szaruhártya többé nem áll helyre! A szemen egy nagy seb keletkezik.
I had this surgery yesterday, and yes i'm typing this comment myself. Your eyelids are kept open by clamp-thingys so it is impossible to blink. Both eyes are sedated so you don't feel a thing, maybe a small amount of pressure on your eyeball, but that's all. MY surgery was done by Dr.Muller at Visiomed in Johannesburg RSA. My eyes are feeling great, had a little bit of pain yesterday but all is well, my vision today is about 80% perfect. Go for it!
Laser vision surgery ruined my eyes at 32 years of age. It's not worth the risk for vanity. BEWARE. If things go wrong there is no going back. Long term side effects are also not know. Do you really want a laser shot into your eyes? Notice that there are hardly any lasik surgeons who actually get the surgery. Wonder why???
@deathslang7 Im 21 and am thinking about getting eye surgery. What kind did you get, did it hurt, was it tramatic, how much was it, was kind of eye problems did you have before, and how is your vision now?
@jdilla77 I had Lasik. This is what they do step by step. You goto the doctor and they begin putting numbing drops in your eyes. The wait as long as they have to till you cant feel anything touching your eyes. After they they bring you into the Lasik room where you lie down on a bed similar to a doctors office exam room bed. Once there I was surrounded by the doctor and at least three nurses helping. One would be telling me what they are doing and whats going to happen next.
@jdilla77 The doctor then places clamps to both the top and bottom of your lids. Mine weren't the same as in the video but there was no discomfort with them. They then begin the prodecure which is make ring cut with the laser to make a flap. Now I know that sounds scary but you dont feel pain. The only thing that will happen is you will have blurry vision in your eye. They then fire up the laser again and for about 15 seconds they zap your eye. Again no pain just the sound of the laser clicks
@jdilla77 After that they splash your eye with water and return the flap and close that eye and cover it with a patch and tape. Then they do the same for the other eye. The whole thing takes about 5 minutes from the time you entire the room. Once your done they send you home and tell you to sleep. This is where the only discomfort I had occurred. I was unable to sleep and once the numbing wore off my eyes felt like they where onfire. Felt like a bad sunburn in my eyes.
@jdilla77 however this only lasted for a few hours. By the next day when I was able to take the eye covers off my vision was a little blurry and my eyes hurt a little bit. I stayed out of the sun as told. About the 3rd or 4th day my vision became perfectly clear. When I went back to the doctor to get a check up my vision had gone from not being able to see a foot infront of my face to 20/15.
The cost if I remember was 1500 an eye. Could have changed since now. But yeah my vision is perfect
@mcnabj Well.. It worked for me. YOU where told the risks. YOU chose to do it. Its YOUR fault not the doctors. Complications are found in everything in life.
Rated a 1 star because the poster of this video is a fucking dumbass and doesn't know what epi-lasik is. Also can't fucking spell LASIK, LASIK LASIK. Retard, not "lasek", what a retarded fucking loser go get a brain before posting your moronic shit. Retard.
@oldsk00l Wow, calm down...and get an education. There are two types of surgery; Lasek and Lasik. Also, epi describes the style of non-flap surgery. He removes the outer membrane and then you grow it back. Chill out, dude.
I don't think this is Epi-Lasek. If it was, he would have put the layer of epithelial cells that were removed back on the eye to help healing. It looks like he just threw them away. This is just PRK surgery
i had this op done last year and let me tell u, it was the most painful thing i have ever had to deal with. if i could have ripped my eyes out of their sockets i would have. on the plus side my eyesight is fantastic !
i did lasek with dr chynn in march 09, I had a -6 vision, and astigmatism on both eyes..its been a month now and i see close to 20/20 and still getting better. Its amazing what technology can do. I don't have any dry eyes either after lasek. I totally would refer anyone to Dr Chynn from Park ave laser.
LasikComplications, LifeAfterLasik,LasikScam, Lasik-Flap, LasikFraud, LasikSucks4u2, UsaEyes, LasikNightmare, FlawedLasik, LasikSurgeryWebsite, LaserMyEye, MyLasikStory, SurgicalEyes org, DoctorMyEye , LasikLiberty, VisionSimulations, EyeFreedom , NoBlur...Show me another procedure that has this many patient websites trying to WARN YOU to NOT have LASIK and how UNPREDICTABLE it has become, now being an epidemic!! YouTube: FDA LASIK and watch and listen to the estimated 600,000 ruined lives!!!
LASIK is finally all over the news and showed to be causing great concern. Google: LASIK FDA, LASIK SUICIDES, LifeAfterLasik, Lasik-Flap. The 95% success rate is bogus. We spoke in front of the FDA Panel this week telling them that there are about 10,000 hurt LASIK patients, not the reported 140 complaints they are stating. Anyway. Google: Brian Williams LASIK FDA NBC, LASIK CBS, LASIK ABC, LASIK CBC.
The best decision you could make is to NOT have LASIK, and never mess with a healthy cornea. Look into OrthoK or PRK if you have refractive surgery. Definitely google: lasik suicides, lasik dry eye, lifeafterlasik, and lasik-flap.
I really wonder... It looks like he used alcohol to loosen the epithelium. I thought the advantage of epi-Lasek was the absense of alcohol. Then I really cant see the difference between this and the other videos where Dr Chynn is not using a kerathome to remove the epithelium.
Oh man... I'm in for a lasek myself next month. Thought I'd done my home work but after further _really_ intensive searching I admit I'm starting to have some seriously second thoughts. Really thinking of canceling...
I can't help wondering if your outcome was less than optimal since you answer that way. If that's the case I'm feeling really sorry for you.

@Kiddies001 I dont regret doing it ^^
The surgery is 100% pain-free, its just hard trying not to blink
right after the surgery you are able to see very good, vision increases in time of a few weeks.
6 hours after the surgery your eyes begin to be very sensitive to light, the sun,
i had to close my eyes like 24/7 for the next 5 days, i couldnt even watch tv or look into my mobile phone.
i ran around with sunglasses in my room
then it started to get better and then you are really happy about it !
