  • The 6 speed auto can't be killed,a pretty much bulletproof transmission. My father's 2011 has this transmission and has not failed yet

  • @wafrederick

That's because the truck is brand new? See if that thing is even on the road in 10 years.

  • @shiconia I still own this truck and it is almost 5 years old right now. It currently has 16K so in another 5 years it should have 30 to 40 thousand miles. I would bet it will still be on the road.

  • Everyone always says to get a manual transmission on these, how is your automatic? Also, is it stock in this video?

  • @99dodgeram360 Yes it is stock. Pulls great and plenty of power. Standard gets better mileage. Love the manuals but will never buy one. Pulled my 32' enclosed car trailer 2500 miles a couple weeks ago with no problems. Truck and trailer weighed 24,000 pounds. Pulled with fuel miser from super chips. Check out my moving burn outs with the chip.

  • @99dodgeram360 Thats amazing how fast it is stock ( alot faster than my 99 V8). Just curious, why wouldn't you get a manual?

  • @99dodgeram360 Because their is absolutely nothing wrong with the 6 speed automatic and it goes like a son of a bitch!! You should see it with the superchip installed!!!! Check out my burnouts with it.

  • @distkgo77 Ok, so I have been wanting a Cummins for a while now and I don't know if i should get an auto or manual. Obviously by the looks of your video the auto hauls ass. What would you tell me I should get?

  • @99dodgeram360 My father has a 6.7L 2008 6 speed standard and is great to drive and pull. I don't mind driving it at all. In town, it is low geared and requires lots of shifting. It get better mileage in town and on the highway. At 3200 RPM is truck is maxed in 6th gear at 109 MPH. Both have 3.73 rear gears. The auto - no shifting, fast, pulls great, maxed in 6th gear at 2200 RPM. It is probably up to personal preference!!

  • @distkgo77 Have you had any major problems with your auto transmission?

  • @99dodgeram360 I have had no problems with this truck...... Just oil changes. No transmission problems.

  • @distkgo77 Well that sounds good to me, I won't be doing too much heavy hauling anyway, so I think I will be going auto when I can finally get it. Thanks!

  • @99dodgeram360 there both great but it depends what u want them for if its for pulling stick is the way to go for racing nothing beats a built auto ask they fastest duramax in the world what they use it sure aint allison

  • I laugh when truck drivers bitch about shitty gas mileage and expensive gas prices. Not worth it in my opinion.

  • @thecnote1287 I love my mileage!! When I put my 34 Foot Enclosed Car Trailer on the back and load it up I get 11ish MPG. Truck and trailer weigh in around 22 + K. Not bad!

  • I always find it amusing that people are comparing diesel trucks and regular cars. "My 8000 lb truck goes to 60 in 7 seconds", etc. They really don't compare. Anyways my beef with trucks is the liability involved with it going fast. Not only for others but for yourself incase things get jerky and you roll the dam thing. I've known my share of people that have done that. And as for cornering... it does NOT happen. You REALLY do have do slow down a lot to turn that corner.

  • Nice way to break in a truck with 2k miles haha

  • @kawirider206 Thanks..... Its paid for and I also still have it. Think is has 14K now. Check my homepage and see the burnouts I recently did...........

  • @distkgo77 Haha oh well right? You pay for it may has well have fun right? I run the dog shit out of mine

  • @kawirider206 its actually good to run these trucks hard when there new. dodge actually recodmends puting a heavy trailer to it to wear the motor in outher wise it takes for ever. cummins motors like to be worked. right from new.

  • @RM250D8rzr i dont remember where i read it but cummins actually has no break in period... so you just drive them, pretty legit

  • @kawirider206 thats how your meant to break in these cummins motors. run em hard

  • @feversberg I hope you're joking! First of all, it's a diesel engine which isn't designed for speed, but for towing. Yes, it will tow your Volkswagon when it breaks down like nothing is even behind it. And second of all, the truck weighss at least 7500 pounds and thats a low estimate.

  • wow... thats VERY VERY SLOW!

and this Car has 6,7 Liters....

So My Car is a Volkswagen Rabbit GTI ands it need from 0-130 mph only 11 Seconds. And ths car has only 280 HP....

    Tipical for american Cars....

  • @feversberg this truck is stock, it is not built for speed, but for towing and for daily use. your rabbit probably puts out a 15 second 0-60 stock

  • @feversberg yo look at the weight ratings, you car ways way less then this heavy ass truck. that truck weighs 8000 lbs. this isn't a car dumb ass!

  • @feversberg you my friend are the moron of morons. the truck did 0-60 in about 7 seconds. for a truck, id say thats very quick. the weight of the your shitbox doesnt even compare to the weight of a ram.

  • @feversberg I seen that everybody was ragging on you and i thought i would do the same VW`s are the shittiest cars in the world to drive let alone it being a fucking RABBIT GTI you`r just a guy with a small car and a small dick. So fuck you and stop being a fuckface retard.PS Go kill you`r self fag

  • @feversberg

in America, they don't pay if thet have a 1.4 or 6.0 L engine ?

  • dont dis a duramax in your daddys truck

  • holy hannah, 2500 rpm at 100 ish mph? thats crazy my chevy cruises at 2500 at 70

  • in france we don't have car like this one, the torke must be so cool, certainely better than my citroen zx 1.9td

  • over 7 seonds, it looks pretty much same as my DURAMAX but my is faster

  • @kenneykole That is just what the last Duramax owner said until after we left the line........... Then is was - Ummm, my engine is not running that well!!

  • @distkgo77

Hey you better watch out the new 2011 Ford's 6.7L Powerstrokes - 400+ hp from factory.

  • @kenneykole They're just numbers. Woopty doo, They're pretty slow for the "big numbers" they have. a new 6.7 Cummins with 3.73's still feels way more powerful....... i test drove one today at Sheridan ford in Delaware. It was a quad cab shortbed 4x4 with the 6.7 powerstroke.

It falls on it's face before every shift you can tell ford has to put shit loads of torque management in the computer to make that trans live for a long time.

  • @91CTD if you are talking about a new cummins, then the reason it shifts so hard is because the tranny adapts to your driving style. And you know how people test drive vehicles....

  • @kenneykole you canr ead the brochure, diesels are made for torque and not horsepower

  • @distkgo77 hahaha that's awesome.

These 6.7 4x4 trucks in Quad Cab form i think run high 15's in the 1/4 mile STOCK.

  • @distkgo77 Once you rack up 300 or 400K on that inline 6, you won't have anyone left to race except other Ram owners!

  • @RT360ci cause ford and chev motors wont make it

  • @kenneykole Let's hook up a trailer and see whos faster hehe.

  • nice. now you just wasted all of you gas, lol

  • @masten12344 he didnt use any gas because its runs on diesel fuel ya little pumpkin pie hair-cutted freak

  • You can't go anywhere if your in Neutral. lol

  • wow the gearing is way different in the automatic trans. My '08 6.7 6 speed manual is running 3100 rpm at 100mph and 5th maxes at 85mph at about 3500. Good for towing though. I wonder how much it will change once i burn off the stock 265's and put on 35's

  • Do you know what the 6th gear ratio is on that transmission?

  • some buses in uk have that engine For some reason the RPM is limited.

  • I know D is drive but now im seing S whats that??

  • @xThugLife94x It's a 5 It's displaying the gear it's in.

  • i want to see a race between a completely stock ford (6.4 not 6.7) the dodge 6.7 and the duramax.

  • wtf.... i have a 6 cylinder 08 dodge ram that will do that

  • @childs411 This is a 6 cylinder.........

  • @distkgo77 but this is a6.7 L diesil and mine is a 3.7 L gasoline

  • @childs411 Your 3.7 Liter will not keep up. Hell, the new Hemi is just barly faster!!

  • @distkgo77 ive gottin my 6 cyl that fast its no big deal for a truck this day do you want me to record it to but your bitch ass diesel cumming to shame

  • @childs411 Ya do that! This truck weighs 8200 pounds. What do you drive a dakota? Half the truck? Buy a real truck fag!! Sorry everyone else - I usually don't allow comments with cuss words but this little guy is a bitch!

  • @childs411 did you read my first comment its a ram 6 cyl. all i said was my truck could go do that and you act like its ww3 grow up a lil dude

  • @childs411 I think you are the little dude - still in High School! All talk and no show! I think I will do this video again and not let off the throttle at 55! I will keep it floored and you do the same and post your video!!

  • @distkgo77 lol you didnt let off at 55 you had it floored the entire time you might be able to fool that childs kid but not me bud... but not bad for a 6.7 espcially if its a mega cab?

  • @natep246 I did let off around 55 and pushed it back down. I decided to keep going... If I get a chance in the near future I will do another run with a little more go off the line. Thanks and did does run well. It is a Quad Cab, not a Mega Cab.

  • @childs411 This is a 6 cyl engine......

  • @childs411 U are a retard the 6.7 Cummins is a 6 cylinder and it weighs a shit-ton more than what ever little 6 cylinder you drive.

  • I have a 5.7L Chipped

    I Get as much speed

  • how many gas do you need with full speed ?

  • this truck is it chipped

  • @metm19 No, its not chipped.

  • @chinchillawrangler That would be when you hold down the brake and give the truck some RPMs without the truck moving. Right where the truck want to go, you hold that RPMs at that spot. Then when its time to leave the line - simply push the pedal all the way to the floor and at the same time take you foot off of the brake!!

  • Dodge trucks>ford,gm

  • Junkkk I have a 1998 cummins loud as hell with no fuckin emissions holding back power..Thats why i got it..Cummins went down hill after 2001 when evey one started saying they where to loud! And the where badd for the air...I see more of the new ones in the shop Getting Fixed... Then the old ones!!!!

  • @nick54372 i got a 07 cummins with the 5.9l in it and it neverbeen in the shop to get fixed its load as shit and pushes over 950HP and it dumps smoke every time i dribe it smog peoples ass off at a red light drop that bitch in 5 and go

  • they should have had this tranny in '03.

  • all hand calculated haters

  • all you need is a couple of performance chips and a hydrogen system and boom better mpg

  • my dads diesel 890hp smokes the shit out of stangs so all u talking trash about diesels stfu and my dads diesel is getting 29mpg bcuz of all the work done to it so ya

  • Yo, it's your DAD'S truck - let HIM do the trash talking and bragging

  • Bullshit. Prove it or GTFO.

  • Go back to 4chan.

  • @snowmobiler56 I was not going to believe you til you put "so ya" on the end of it...Now I have no choice but to believe it

  • wow we are so cool with our dads truck isnt we?

  • leave the kid alone hes probably like 16

  • hey how old are you? 10? cause i bet my dad can beat your dad up hahahaha

  • no hating here nice an fast but i timed it as 8 seconds

  • I'm just saying I've got a 07 5.9 and the best I've seen is 21 mpg. I am on 315s though.....

  • Is this all stock?

  • Yes.

  • Badass truck. 105 holy shit lol. I mean I've been that fast but stillxD

  • 32 MPG in a cummins?

    haha

  • Is the 6.7 camshaft still run with gears?

This is obviously the best and safest way to go.

  • Very impressive , what mods do you have to the 6.7 cummins . I am assumining you have done the deletes . I have a 6.7 also running a Smarty with all the deletes . haven,t done a 0-60 yet but I am sure it will be less than 8 seconds

  • No Mods on this truck. If I boost launch it, it is much faster.....

  • @distkgo77 whats a boost launch?

  • @chinchillawrangler Pushing on the gas and brake at the same time so the boost in the turbo is at full pressure when you let off the brake.

  • I'm not familiar with Diesels at all so forgive my question if it is obvious, but why does it appear like the track is not in drive? It goes P R N D and then looks like it displays 1-6. Just curious.

  • It is in Drive, but you can also select the gear you want to be in and it shows the gears on the side. The truck is in the drive position and the gear button is selected to a certain gear!

  • whats your mods?

  • Lol, 3000rpm

  • I'm not sure why that is funny..... Does anyone know?

  • He's just mad because your making 4X as much hp and 15 times as much torque with half the rpm range of his Toyota Yaris...

  • I think the turbo is bigger than his car's motor.........

  • @08SilveradoLT ...but paying quarter the fuel bill and no road tax.

  • @hazzerbean121 True!!

  • Some rice driver doesn't know anything about Diesels.

  • LOL...... Now that is funny.

  • nice truck! the 6.7s are sweet my dad has one. for stock i think they are damn good

  • the 6.7s are sweet my dad has one and they are really good for stock like that

  • holy. shit.

  • why cant they take the best of both worlds

make a ford truck and put the cummins to power it. now that.... would be a kickass truck.

  • I agree! I love the new style Ford trucks but I hate the powerstoke engine! They keep changing them all the time and they still have problems!

  • damn if u would have caught a tail wind u would have been over 120

  • Faster than my Kompressor, but I almost guarantee that this is NOT on a closed course, regardless of what you say. Good speed, but doing almost 120mph in a diesel pickup is just plain stupid.

  • i have had both the ford powerstroke and the chevy duramax and to me the dodge cummins has the most powerful and most smoothest diesel engine in the business.

  • No, you dont. You have never driven any of these trucks if you think the Cummins is ''smooth"

  • I too think the Engine is very Smooth. i find it funny that you did not disagree with TheTerminator310 about the Cummins being the most Powerful.......

  • um yea better than having a windy clunky durmax. the cummins make s the most power, at the LOWEST rpm. unlike the v8s

  • damn right they do! hence the phrase: 6 in a row, built to tow!

  • i second that shit i just got a 6.7 and put the dpf delete on it.......cummins puts everyone else to shame

  • my uncle bought a brand new 08 dodge with the new 6.7 engine but it only got 11-12 mpg because of the epa fucktards, so he replaced it with a 1991 5.9 engine that gets 20mpg, voiding the factory warranty of course but the fuel mileage before was ridiculous.

  • thats why you get a dpf delete and chip. u can get around 20 on a 6.7. my megacab get 16 on aftermarket rims and tires. stock about 19. u can get way more with just a chip and intake. even with the dpf in

  • wow i know a guy thats getting 22 out of his.and im getting 25-35 in my ford F-250 four door.

  • You are NOT getting 24-35 miles per gallon, hand calculated, in a 3/4 ton truck. Sorry, but it's not gonna happen...

  • 35, not going to happen, but I get 23-24 MPG on the highway at about 70 MPH. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram w/ the 5.9L Cummins, aftermarket mods, 4.10 rear gear ratio w/ 5 speed auto. I did the hand math. The computer said I do about 24-25, but the hand math on my last tank was 23.785 MPG from 30.83 US GAL.

  • nope not hand calculated the truck calculates itself i get 32mpg on hwy in an 8,000lb truck like to see ur german crap do that

  • I remember reading somewhere where an old GM 6.5 turbo diesel, something like a C/K 1500 with 3.11 gearing got 32mpg easy on the highway.

  • I owned an 82 Silverado with the 6.2 non turbo diesel with a 700R4 tranny, On the highway in overdrive I got around 30mpg, so I believe it!!

  • never heard of a half ton diesel.. maybe a straight 3/4, those have 1/2 rear end gearing 3:11's or 3:73"s. now when you start into heavy duty trucks you loose the milage because you go from 3:11's or 3:73's to 4:11's

  • Diesels are NOTORIOUS for getting amazing mileage

I still dont know why america is the only one with gasoline powered everything as the standard

The rest fo the world is diesel and for good reason 40MPG out of a large sedan is easy and 30-35 out of a SUV is not unheard of

It sucks there so few diesel choice out there for the used car/truck buyer

I dont doubt that 32mpg and that is a serious beast too

  • I have a N/A 6.2L Blazer and can pull around 25mpg. So with a turbo and some specific mods i can see that happening.

  • my BMW 550xi gets that. but then again...its a car, not a truck

  • Hand calculated to US gallons is the standard. If your actually considering what the Feel good meter in the truck has to say... well, noone can help you then.

  • Calculated in Smiles Per Gallon......

  • No your not. Not even in your wildest, wettest dreams son... Good thought tho.

  • hell i didn't even know they had 6 speed automatic's. my dad has a 6 speed manual in his but i didn't know about the automatic having 6.

  • then youve never seen one in the last 3 years.

  • u ship to australia? lol

  • Well you sure know how to break in an engine.

  • It runs great. I never have any serious problems with my cars and I drive them all like this once an a while.

  • ur shitfin too late i have the smae truck. put it in to w haul mode. get a dpf dlelet kit with smarty s67

  • Ya, the shifts are late. I was watching the road track more than the tack!! I'm actually getting ready the sell the truck with 8K miles. This is my third one and I have not even really driven it in the past 2 years so down the road it goes. Thanks

  • how much are you selling it for?

  • $31K for this truck will get it done. It is located in Montana.

  • well 31K is a damn good price. but thats too far for me haha. I'm in Florida.

  • what kind of pickup is it like a mega cab or quad cab is it for wheel drive and is it a one ton or three quarter ton

  • It is an electric blue 4x4 quad cab in a 3/4 ton big horn package.

  • only 8 thoussand miles and u sellin . why/ get a dpf delete kit and chip it. keep it

  • If I drove it, I would probably keep it. I'm just going to purchase an older cummins, one I can park on the street!!

  • fuck it its just a truck who cares keep the 6.7

  • I love tourqe =D

  • i counted 8 seconds

  • yea 8 sec is more like it, 7 sec was closer to 50

  • It is under 8 seconds. If you notice, I let of the coal burner around 50 and then decided to keep going. If you do a boost launch in 4wd it is much quicker. I took out my friends 06 LS2 GTO to 60. He was not expecting the truck to take off that quick... It did break all four tires loose on that take off.

  • you gotta a great truck here man. is it tuned? what is your boosted time? yea my 6.0 will start eatin some rubber if i launch from a power brake. it must do a hell of a 0-60 to keep up with a goat

  • Do you have some tall gear/tires? That seems like kind of a low RPM for the speed.

  • The truck has 3.73s in the rear. The RPMs are just how a diesel runs....

  • now go pick up the bolts that dropped of that dodge.. really nice to drive a Amerimex truck. (American trucks made in Mexico) Wikipedia DODGE Ram Built Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, Some in the usa too but you know that the Mexico plant makes the most...Interesting the Toyota tundra is made in 100 percent in Princeton, Indiana, USA and San Antonio, Texas, USA.. Buy American WORKERS! Oh i know Dodge is american company, but who cares So is Walmart They help china/mexico Not American workers.

  • Thanks for the comment even though I usually don't allow rude or otherwise ignorant comments. I think I ran over a Toyota Tundra the other day!! And I also don't want to buy any American Workers! That seems a little mean to me. You should try some Mexican Steroids - they may help you out a little.......

  • Also, what kind of gas or fuel do you run in your vehicle? That is what I thought!!

  • dude toyota isn't even american...so what if they're made here..

  • If your are commenting to Stephfitness I think it is a she and I agree.....

  • lol cummins is the best engine u can get But dodge isnt all that great i love em but dont last as long as some trucks allthoguh the cummins still runnin strong but i do not agree ide by far buy a damn dodge ford even a GM..... tan a fuckin POS toyota idc if tehre assembled here or not they still rice burnin pos japanese parts ive had bad experiences in my family with dodge but havnt given up on cummins =)!!

  • The funny thing is, Stephfit said to buy American made vehicles and I agree. She commented that Dodge is made in Mexico. True. Toyota is made in the US. True. I look at it like this. Dodge is paying Mexicans in Mexico. If we did not pay them there they would be working in the US. Dodge's money from the sales comes back to the US. Toyota employes Americans. Great, but they also send the profits back to the home Corporation. Stephfit makes a good point but she could use some education.

  • now go pick up your bolts that dropped off that dodge.. Anything is better then a dodge.

  • Dodge>ford,gm,toyota

  • i wonder what millage your getting at that speed!!! must be a LOT better than a gas motor!

  • It gets about 6 MPG at WOT. I'm not sure if it gets better MPG than a gas motor at that speed. It has a larger ability to burn more fuel with the size of the factory injectors.

  • try tow haul. wait till the smarty chip comes out

  • had 1000 rpm to spare on the tach, no telling what it would do without the governor

  • my 03 shortbox hemi has a speed limiter at 105 too....

  • that thing gets to 60 as fast as my car!

  • Before you buy a tuner, check out the one that Diablo just came out with. The guy that tunes my hemi has done a few 6.7's and say's that they are insane and he's a chevy guy.

  • well that helps me out alot thanks, yeah i have a chipped 03 cummins and am looking to get me an 06 cummins or the 08 cummins 6.7

  • have you ever owned a newer 5.9 cummins?

  • Ya, I've owned a 2005 5.9 cummins 610 HO. It was a runner! I've also owned a 2002 5.9 cummins - I used to think that truck was fast.

  • do you think that the 05 cummins is quicker than your cummins 6.7?

  • No, the 6.7L (stock for stock) would completely outrun it. The 6.7 has even outran a few newer, chipped 5.9s.

  • throw a banks tuner on it so you can remove that damn speed limiter

  • is this with the 4.10 gear ratio?

  • This truck has the 3.73 gear ratio.

  • Why does it shift at 3200 rpm when the peak torque is under 2000? I have a 7.3 with a 6 speed and shift at 2400 rpms and never get it over 3 grand because its howling at that point.

  • Ya, peak torque happens a bit above idle. That is why a 6th gear pull at 70 pushes you back in the seat. I guess, with the gearing, it gains more speed per gear so when it upshifts it will be in the power again.
