@Mightygold3 you can get it in a RTF that comes with the controller/transmitter... or you can get the BNF like I got, and use your own transmitter. Flight time is between 5 and 10 minutes depending on throttle usage. I suggest having at least 2 or 3 batteries in your box so you can fly without waiting for batteries to charge.
hey evansspoofs you moron cant even spell beginner. how can you expect to fly a plane. try getting a flight simulater first before you spend all your moms money.
No need for name calling. I agree a 3CH plane is a better starting point. I would suggest a micro J-3 cub or ember2, or vapor for a first plane, then move onto the 4ch micros, then the larger planes.
@bigunitandmore SHUTUP YOU ASSHOLE SO WHAT IF HE CANT SPELL BEGINNER you knew what he meant though dident ya..if you havent got nothing nice to say dont say nothing at all you fucked up TWAT.
Definitely not for beginners, altho I had never flown before I flew this as my first plane.
I had LOTS of simulator experience and a butt load of self confidence. I mastered it within about 2 minutes =P. Highly recommend grabbing a sim + USB Radio Control joystik for the PC. Play with it and fly it until you dont crash.
Simulator is not as fun as the real thing but the skills DEFINITELY translate easily.
It depends on how good you are at lowering the throttle before you hit the ground. But for the most part I found it actually quite durable, you can nose dive it into the ground and it comes out without a scratch. If you feel like you're going to crash cut hte throttle immediately and try and regain control to glide it in safely.
I also recommend:
Fly with a low throttle setting at first
Start off doing some simple circuits and flying level.
if you did fly it, how easy was it to fly. i think im getting this as a first 4 channel. i know its a jump, but i think i can handle it. just wondering, would you recommend this or the Blade MSR?
I have flown it. I have a video or two of the flights up on my youtube. If you have flown 3ch planes and are comfortable with them, then this would be ok. It is a small size, and light, so damage is less likely than on larger planes. Whatever 4ch plane you pick, just make sure to take it slow. Don't try advanced tricks until you are very confident with your flying/orientation.
I don't advise trying this earthling, but I found out today that you can crash these into your car at full speed and not damage it much lol.... The warped control surface will cause you problems too I think. This plane is so light that something like that might concentrate too much mass on one area. great review 5/5
It is a 4CH plane... most beginners are told to start with a 3CH... but... I think it is very possible you will be able to fly it well. Just take it slow at first. Anyone can 'fly' it takes practice to not crash hard and destroy your plane! I think the P-51 is a great choice though. The Ember2 would be a nice stepping stone, however, you will learn and outgrow the ember2 within days... So YES, get the P-51!!!
Oh yes, he could easily get away with using this as a first plane I think. I got mine today and my buddys wife flew it with no problems and she has no experience at all.
thanks

which do you most prefer out of the trojan and the mustang
Ollie101100 1 year ago
@Ollie101100
Apparently, both are great, but the trojan is more of an intermediate plane whereas the p-51 is for experts only.

so you have to buy your own controller??,and only 5 minutes before battery dies WTF?

earthling1984 2 years ago
@earthling1984 only 5 minutes i thought those planes could last 15 minutes flight time
LieorDie24 1 year ago
i want to get one of those but i dont know if it is for beginors
evansspoofs 2 years ago
It is a great plane, however, I would recommend a 3CH plane or at least a simulator for beginners before venturing onto 4CH planes.
earthling1984 2 years ago
Is it possible to learn on a simulator and then jump straight into 4CH? I don't really have the money to buy a plane just to learn on

I didn't know that the P-51 wasn't a beginner plane, so I bought one not long ago and it shipped yesterday. I have no flying experience.
I do have access to a very large field with grass of moderate height in which I can fly. Should I be worried about crashes destroying my plane?

@DarkTenka
I've been watching beginner videos and it looks like just flying at low altitude ovals is expected to teach people the best...
I'll see if I can make a video too. Thanks for the advice though.

why do you think my rutter for this pane does not work
JTAnt2 2 years ago
rudder might not work if servo has bad connection or maybe the rubber 'stopper' fell off so the servo may need another one of those.

It will definently affect the way the plane will fly. mabey heat it up and some phone books should do the trick.
