Look up things in the rule of rose wiki to understand the game - many people are certain that various things during this boss fight indicate what happened to clara in the orphanage and why she went missing (she most likely ran away because she was being sexually abused by Mr. Hoffman) I really hope people are wrong with their theories but they are probably right because of the scars and vomiting ect. that suggests Clara was not only raped but had gotten pregnant at some point.

This game needs alot of patience, to kill enemies, as well as gathering items. Before trying to kill the boss, look for some sweetmeat (choc, candy, lollipop, etc). Just ask Brown to find it.
