For my hears the definitive version is sung by Dee Dee Bridgewater, the reason she won the Tony for her performance in the original Broadway version of The Wiz. Bridgewater also did a better (IMO) version of "If this what Feeling Gets," from the movie.

The late, great Miss Lena Horne is not to have her songs changed. They are not up to artist interpretation. I love Jennifer, but she ruined this song for me.

I can't stand that. Why go to an event to listen to someone only to talk while some is performing? Also they're so close sometimes the artist can actually hear depending on how loud the band is at the time.
On topic: I think she did a great job. And it looks like ?uest Love is on drums.

very good rendition. Jennifer sings this song. RIP Ms. Lena Horne. She went thru the back door so the Entertainer of today like Ms. Jennifer Hudson can go thru the front door. All of the Entertainers of today owe Ms. Lena Horne a great deal of thanks and gratitude.
