i think the reason why the ET have distant them selves is that they know that at this stage of our development and self actualization we will experience a period of confusion that we must resolve on our own . this is like a rite of passage where by we challenge every aspect of our selves , and then at the core of it all our true nature their nature is revealed to us then and only then will they return

Our vocal chords are in an evolutionarily risky position - They're in a place which has a comparitively high risk of choking when eating. Our larger brains mean that we give birth at a much earlier stage of development than most other species.
