@StarBoyJonesProds they're like $650. It's a consolized MVS, so it plays MVS instead of AES games. MVS games are a lot easier to find / cheaper, and they make MVS multicarts.

Price is pretty reasonable compared to the inconvenience of buying and maintaining an MVS cab, or a MVS to AES converter, which are rare and expensive anyway.

No, its not a reasonable price. It would only be reasonable if it came with more than one controller, at least one decent game, and if you could buy the carts from the same website that you bought the system...

And even with all of THAT its a stretch. Any major console that can play disc-based games can emulate the power of a Neo-Geo quite well, and each one of those consoles have had better controllers.

And there's always the PC, where the games are FREE.

@FHCTech Keep in mind what analog interactive is selling is the neo-geo mvs the arcade system modded for home use it's not the aes.Is the price high yes,but that does add up.Having to soruce and buying all of the mvs 1-slots boards then modded them plus you have to factor in labor and the parts to do this.Now not every body sells a cmvs at this price i've seen people at the neo-geo forums sell for less.

A custom made NEO GEO made from beautiful wood for less than a grand is a STEAL if you look at how much systems STILL go for unmodded. Neo Geo was never a cheap system and never tried to be. If you can't see yourself paying that much then you don't understand the pull Neo Geo has on some gamers. It's like an exotic sports car you've always wanted but could only afford a toy model. When you CAN buy it...you don't think twice.

An MVS circuit board will cost you about $100, a video encoder will cost you another $100, you will also need a power supply, depending on the circuit you buy, you'll need controller ports and other bits of hardware. You then also need to the knowledge required to consolize an MVS. You also need mad skills to be able to build a wooden enclosure like this. Considering a ghetto one will cost you at least $300+ to build, it's ok.
