  • at 0:35 those rims are worth good money at a swap meet

  • Dang gophers!

  • I'm a Ford guy but Chevy and Ford both are great trucks.

  • Well I guess it has earned itself a good resting spot. Not a Junk Yard. Or a restore. Not a chevy fan. But I will give it credit.

  • this truck looks like something you fould find after the appocalypse lol

  • So, why are million mile Ford's still up and running with little to no maintenance done. But a GM product at a million miles would be on it's 3rd engine rebuild, maybe the original trans if cared for, and maybe it's second coat of paint. What I see here is a clean restorable truck, that has a million miles and an engine that lost oil pressure.

  • Maybe you could buff the paint or something for a celebration.

  • chevy trucks suck

  • @lynch5552933 Haha bet your bitchass tried to look up million mile ford and got this.

  • @lynch5552933 chevy trucks rule they run longer than any other truck

  • Beautiful truck! I love my GM!

  • the 6.2 diesels were great engine because people took care of them, and they didn't abuse them with pulling trailers. But the 6.5 were taken as engines that could haul so people pulled stuff with them, and they didn't last. the first diesel GM has put out for towing stuff is the Duramax. Of course the 5.7 diesels weren't great either. And yes this is coming from a chevy guy. Ford and Dodge had a better diesel in those years, now it's all about the same

  • damn gophers!

  • Chevy = Crap..... I bet you could get $300 out of the metal at the scrapyard thats about all it's worth.

  • @lynch5552933 Most "crap" cant get 1 million miles, or so ive been told

  • @WestCarolina1861 you know what, you just seem like an asswipe who doesn't give a fuck about what you might say to others. Boy i dare you to come anywhere in the south and call a country boy a cousin fucking hick. You will get your ass shot, especially around me and my family. Get the fuck off of YouTube and move to fucking California or some shit, no offense to people in California though

  • step 1: get a car

step 2: drive it for 1 million miles

    step 3: sell as new

    step 4: PROFIT!!!!

  • Seat is just a little messed up. ummmm ok

  • heavenly truck. and dogs i might add

  • Well, I don't care if nobody else likes it...from one 6.2 owner to another...that's a good run. Your truck looks great for its age. Mine (an '84 Sierra, at 219,4xx miles IIRC) is looking rather tired, but it still runs nicely. Rare to see one equipped with A/C and power windows around here. (I've got A/C on mine with manual windows.)

I've got to ask...after a million miles, does your quartz clock still work? My understanding is that those clocks are rather failure prone. :-)

  • @uxwbill Im not sure if the clock still works or not, ill have to hook the battery up sometime this week. I know the one on my 82 still works, but it I never use it because i have my phone in my pocket. I have a few rare option trucks, the 87 has a pretty rare two tone, also has manual windows with power locks, AC, and premium stereo. The 82 came with posi from the factory. The 87 i just picked up will be getting a 12 valve cummins and NV4500

  • Nice truck man. I have an 02, hope to hit 1 million someday. only at 126k now

  • excellent work! I take it it left the factory with a manual? will you put an NV4500 back in so you can get overdrive, but still have the awesomeness of a manual?

what did you use for oil? intervals? filters? a lot of other folks would love to hear your story over at thetruckstop.us

how is the restoration coming along?

  • @rborneman Came from the factory with the 700r4, went from 700r4, th400, sm465, and muncie m22 rockcrusher. Used rotella 15w40 mostly, or ursa oil (forget which weight. we ran it in our peterbilt) the restoration is at a halt right now sincei just bought a 87 k10 with only a dime sized spot of rust on it with a 6.2, make 4 6.2/6.5s we have lol. i have an account over there but im mostly on dieselplace and 67-72chevytrucks

  • they can make it 1mil easy

  • How did you keep up with the mileage? The odometer only goes up to 99,999.9 miles then it rolls back over to 00000.0. Did it roll over 10 times? Sounds like it was a good ole truck.

  • @IBLEWUP1 yep, kept a envelope with records in the glovebox, got a brake change recorded at 850k and thats the last service record since. We normally did all the work ourselves but at that time my little brother had just been born and with my dad truckin, we just took it to a shop. Was a GREAT truck, and will be great again once we finish the restoration. Thats on down the line since we have a 1998 corvette convertible and my newly acquired 1987 Chevy with a 6.2 are finished.

  • Looks like a good old friend

  • junk

  • @FordmanHaulit3002010 Why call it junk? I never insulted your stuff. I dont know why the hell you ford guys always comment things like this. I dont care if its Ford, GM, or Dodge, as long as it aint no POS jap "truck" i like em all. Try to have some respect, buddy.

  • @mtjasper26

    A "Jap" truck?

I can only imagine how many years of education you had to become the intelligent individual you are today.

  • @WestCarolina1861 Enough to know that I have a right to say what i want and have an opinion, and enough to know that your a pretentious asshole. Get the hell off my page.

  • @mtjasper26

You are such a cool guy, I'm sure you are just a ton of fun to be around.

Rock on my friend, the proud result of brothers and sisters loving one another and lower class culture! I will be mocking you with my friends when we stop side by side at a red light, or when your'e taking your fat wife Darleen to Golden Corral on Friday night when the "check" rolls in.

And I wasn't aware this was your page? I'm confident this is YouTube's page, that's what my computer says anyway.

  • @WestCarolina1861 The world would be such a better place without people like you. Get some sense.

  • @mtjasper26 I know it would make better sense to you. A town full of idiots with a thought pattern like yourself is where you would love to be, without anyone around with a mind that they use or any understanding or culture outside your county line. You'd feel like a genius!

I guess I need to go drive my Jap truck around, since it's flourishing in 23 countries. I could go get a Chevrolet and ride around like Archie Bunker, we could hang out at Auto Zone together!

  • @mtjasper26 What do you have against my Tacoma?

  • ive got a 79 shortbed stepside gmc with half a million(500,000)miles. its on its 3rd motor (gas) came with 305, someone swapped a 350 in, grandpa blew the heads on the 350, i dropped another 305 in while i rebuild the 350. its on its 2nd trans.

nobody in town has more miles than me

  • Id have to call bullshit on the million miles.........

  • @shawnsutube

And why's that? Bough brand new in 1983 and we know everything thats ever happened to this old girl. No need to call bullshit on something thats true bud.

  • @shawnsutube Id have to call bullshit on your belief. I guess owning it since brand new and keeping track of every single fucking thing that has been done to it doesn't count for shit huh?

  • @mtjasper26 I have 650,000 miles on my 01... why is it hard to believe an '83 can't have over a million?

  • @mtjasper26 OK, idiot.....you already replied to my comment about 6 months ago, guess you thought you needed to reply again since Im the first comment to show up since other people agreed with me and gave it a thumbs up and put me at the top.......Dont get me wrong, Im a hardcore chevy guy but those 6.2s are JUNK and thats why I called bullshit !

  • @shawnsutube If you was a hardcore chevy guy then you would know that in 82 GM and Detroit signed a contract for this engine to be built, not as a powerhouse but for MPG reasons. Most people know that IDI diesels arent powerhouses, and probably wont be. If properly maintained and taken care of the 6.2 can and will last just as this one has.

  • Pretty cool that it's at a million. Your animals are adorable too.

  • Why thank ya!

  • That's decent boys!
