  • Sempre dentro di me !

  • The entire album is a classic! Discovered this in '77 when I was 17 and at 51 I still LOVE IT!!!

  • Am I the only one who thinks this is THE forgotten classic of the late 70s? It's fucking brilliant.

  • Absolutely brilliant....

I freaked when I heard this number

back before the 3 chord wonders took over....

    And I still do...

    Johnny C.

  • giving head to the flame of love oh frightened people stare at your flame red hair well they shiver in their ancient skins & say it isn't natural they're so guilty in their primal sin their hatred is irrational but you'll undermaine that sad disease although it's international oo for you are quite different giving head to the flame of life. ~Enjoy ;)
  • got your head in the flame of Art

    Well in a cool collage.

    I felt your subtle charge

I was turned on by your colours

left my wordgames to the party shadows

& two weeks later in another land

    we graced the winter meadows

while the mighty media screamed disaster

    through T.V.'s & radios

oo but you were quite different

  • But if it wasn't for the surgeon's skill

you'd be three times a mother

& though many girls would keep it a secret

    you're too cool to bother

oo for you are quite different

  • for you never played that mother virgin

    like so many others

oo for you are quite different

got your head in the lotus flame

oh when I taste your tounge

I feel so sad you got burned so very young

& wish I had your free freak body

    before any other

  • Lyrics by request:

    FLAME-Metro (Godwin) 1977

    Oh when I taste champagne

I see flames upon the Seine

I know the stains on your satin skirt

    come from another lover

    & your sweet sixteen proportions

    aren't kept undercover

  • Can someone help me find this album on CD,this album seems like goldust.

  • I have it sitting in my closet, it's on vinyl.

  • Are the performers alive?

    Sorry, I don`t know it.

  • Duncan Browne (25 March 1947 — 28 May 1993) was an English singer-songwriter, Metro's mind. Peter Godwin (born Germany) was a musician in the band, Metro, (with Duncan Browne) in the late 1970s. His most well-known song is probably his 1982 "Images of Heaven", which got some alternative airplay throughout the 1980s. Godwin has recently been writing lyrics for Steve Winwood, the first fruits of which appear on Winwood's 2008 album,

  • Brilliant album loved it since it early 70's.

Every track was a work of art.

  • Para mim é uma banda interessante, é a primeira vez que ouço, vou escutar outras faixas para poder fazer um juizo musical mais apurado. É isso!

  • oh, how fab they were. Flame is one of my all time favorite songs. How did they get so invisible? I do have the LP on vinyl, in excellent condition, but am looking for the cd... thanks for posting! makes my day! and yes, Graeme, this song is the sexiest thing ever... as raw and cruel as Jeannie by Falco... but the music is better!

  • Metro were so astonishingly good that they quickly floated into the stratosphere, their songs only remembered--but remembered so well!-- by the few people who bought their album and made it part of their lives. They easily surpassed high quality contemporaries like the early Supertramp, and at their best, produced music that can only be compared to the highest achievements of mid-seventies Roxy Music. Ultimately, of course, they have to be heard on vinyl.
