Perfectly smooth frame rate, smooth controls, very stable graphics with no popup (the desert stage looks great) and nice music. Has some cool bonuses like the ability to paint and draw your car. Only fault was that the cars looked like toys and the levels were a bit bland with not much to see. Still, this is my favorite N64 racer.

I am looking for a car game for the Xbox360, but one I can play like this one here, any suggestions? I still play my N64 games but I just can not get into any X box 360 games. I use my X box mostly or HD dvds, but I am trying to get a good game, but that seems to be a hard thing to find these days.

The Top Gear games were actually made due to people wanting Gremlin to make Lotus Turbo Challenge games for the Super Nintendo, which would explain why 4 out of the 5 songs in the game are remixes of songs from the first 2 Lotus games.
Moving on from that point, I just need to say that this game really is freaking awesome!

Oh, how I used to love this game! It was the ultimate cheater's game, because you could bail off the track at any point without speed penalty! I collected all the cars, including the cube and the sphere, and I unlocked the mercury skin mode and painted about 10 custom cars, including a night sky skin with stars that twinkled as you drove it!
One of my favorite games for N64. Themenus and music had a charm to them. Very soothing. I mastered this game and unlocked everything. It was one of the few games I owned for N64 back then cause the games retailed for $64 after tax. Christ! Awesome customizatuon
Only if you can pick charicters for this game, and one of them should be James May. I will just pick him every time and drive around in a caravan crashing into things.

I Acquired for me, a cartridge top gear rally 2
but the game is bad, the graphics and gameplay are bad, the top gear rally is a lot better in gameplay and graphics.
the cars of a top gear rally react more realistic.
