@nevernicolle She knows that once she summons the final aeon she will die, and they realise the love they have for each other. If she dies, she won't be with him (But he doesn't get with her anyway until X-2 i believe...), but she has had a clear idea all her life on what she wants to do, which is sacrifice herself to bring the Calm. She's scared because she doesn't know the perfect solution, and she has to choose between fiery love or helping spira get rid of Sin. Hope that helped.

This is by far my favourite game of all time, and my favourite scene from a video game of all time. The scene were Rinoa and Squall dance was number one, but then I got ten, and saw this, and instantly knew that this one was my all time favourite.

ya, this is in second place to me, because I just love the story, the characters were really well done, and the graphics and cinamatics were great. I personally like 9 a little more than 10, because 9 had the best story out of them all, the characters had emotion, and all were really well done, and the main character wasn't emo, unlike cloud and squall. Maybe that's why I like these two game's, because the characters weren't emo, and were fairly likable.

I think Squall was also protective. He tried to protect Rinoa and everyone so many times. Like when you try to assassinate Edea, he keeps them back, cuz he doesn't want them to get hurt. When Rinoa becomes a sorceress, he saves her and keeps them from hurtin her. I loved VIII so much! Brilliant story, characters, weapons and magic, cutscenes and cinematics, bosses, scripting, everything!

VIII was best love story. Not X. Squall and Rinoa blow all the other FF couples away. Tidus and Yuna are 3rd best. Aeris and (not Cloud) Zack are second, because they never truely get together, but Cloud and Aeris do. Thats why Zack and Aeris is better, cuz they're sadder.

Its understandable. Tidus (SPOILER ALERT) disappearing was very tragic, and Yuna's speech was the greatest moment in that entire game. The scripters for X must've put everything they had into it. But I still laugh when Yuna pulls off the most hilarious face-plant! She's the Queen of face-plants!
