No. As long as you download from the Mozilla add-ons page, it is virus free. Use antivirus software if in doubt, or use linux to avoid getting pc viruses.

It may have been removed from the add-ons section. Google adblock plus and try downloading it. Install the application and then restart firefox. Right-click on the ads and click on 'block this ad/image'. It should work.

Yeah, certain ads can't be blocked. You can find out which ones can by right-clicking the ads and then selecting 'ad block image/frame'. Also, there might be a limit as to how many ads you may filter..

Yeah, you might have to install it from the original location. Go to Google, and type in adblock plus. Click on the first link and then click on installation on the top of the page. Here, you should find the latest version. Download and install.

Thank you, I am currently running a virus scan on my Netbook and it's just picking up tracking cookies. However I notice that my Computer slows when I acquire them? But I have done research and I find that, with what tracking cookies are, it would take quite a bit to slow down a computer? ANYWHO! I also found the link between cookies and advertising and just a quick thought I wondered if there was a way to block ads displayed on websites and sure enough there is. Thank you much! ^^,

Yeah, it should work fine. Just right-click on the ad and click on the 'adblock image' option. It should give you the option to apply the filter.

I know for sure that Zshare video ads can be blocked.

If you have installed everything correctly, then press Ctrl + Alt + E on your keyboard. This should bring up the adblockplus preferences. Click 'Options' and make sure the 'Show in toolbar' option is ticked.

The icon should then appear.
