This is pretty awesome. I have a 2003 Ion, not the Redline, just the regular QuadCoupe with the 2.2 Ecotec Engine and CTi transmission. I love these cars. The handle great, and they're pretty damn safe, considering they are Saturns.

Unfortunately, I am going to need a new car soon and will be looking into purchasing an ION Redline, or an ION Coupe. And to anyone who "hates" on Saturns, especially the Honda drivers, all I can say is, I enjoy driving Saturns, if you don't, that's on you. So you can enjoy driving around with the same car every teenage boy drives, with the same rims, and the same curb crunching body kits, and same coffee can exhaust, and the same spoiler. I enjoy being different, and not following everone else
I drive a '94 Saturn SL2 w/ Slight Modifications ( Full exhaust system, Intake, Plugs, Plug wires, Etc...) and Honestly, had the company not gone out of buisness, I would not drive anything but a Saturn. My car has just shy of 300,000 miles on the Odometer, and the only Major problems that I have had with it was the Transmission went, and my Radiator cracked. Other then that, only normal wear and tear. The thing just eats punishment, and comes back for more.

I have a 2005 stage 2 redline, black no-sunroof, I have never LOVED a car as much as the Saturn ION 3 redline. When the Saturn Sky came out my Saturn buddy said you don't want it compared to your redline. When the Redline Sky came out, it still wasn't like my REDLINE. Still driving it daily - two sets of rims (I live in snow country). Makes my buddy's Mitsu Eclipse like a old lady's Buick!!!

you can get an 04 for 10K or less. but i would avoid them....many issues. get an 05-06 for about 11K-13K worth every penny. especially if you can find a loaded one w/the comp pkg.
I wasn't able to go on the actual air strip. The gate is locked and I think only the Mythbusters crew has the key...lol. but this was a good length (1/3rd mile ish) of road right next to the hangars.
bought my car in 07 and have put about 30K on it along with alllllll my mods (see my cardomain page for them) and it's never ever been down at all. very reliable!!! just avoid 04s....many issues.
Correct, Saturn brand is only sold in North America. It is FWD, and you could get it with a limited slip diff. It was designed for road racing and track days, not really a drag car. Stock is 210HP, HondaH8r's is probably close to 260+HP.
i have driven an STi....i like it....the interior sucks though. Too econo japanese car like for me....kinda like an evo is. Has those lil plastic covers over things that it doesn't have or aren't available on the STi.....i'll never get rid of my saturn....i love everyday i drive it. it's on cardomain and all finished now....soooooo many upgrades since this video was taken.

ur trying to compare boost to a N/A...why dont we take a look at that motor without the boost and then see who wins, the SI or a Ion...cause boost will always be >> N/A, in torque especially. All i know is that my COMPTECH Supercharged SI would own this thing 9 times out of 10.
i personally think the red line looks better than the cobalt SS, there actually faster to. the only thing i don't like are those center gauges. other than that there pretty nice cars.
Definitely a fun car to drive. And the new Accord with a 3.5 V-6 still only runs 14.5, the same as a stock Ion Redline. This car should be able to get into deep 13's with just sticky tires now.

first of all, ur fucking saturn can not keep up with any supra. dont even go there single turbo or twin turbo. second of all hondas are way better than saturns. i bet i can smoke u in my 04 accord coupe v6 supercharged any day.

eh actually tht be a close ass race, i went to the street races and they had a supra and the ion turbo, they where racing and its a really close race down the whole track, and each car kept winning so idk i thought the same lol

you can get an 04 for 10K or less. but i would avoid them....many issues. get an 05-06 for about 11K-13K worth every penny. especially if you can find a loaded one w/the comp pkg.

I wasn't able to go on the actual air strip. The gate is locked and I think only the Mythbusters crew has the key...lol. but this was a good length (1/3rd mile ish) of road right next to the hangars.

Correct, Saturn brand is only sold in North America. It is FWD, and you could get it with a limited slip diff. It was designed for road racing and track days, not really a drag car. Stock is 210HP, HondaH8r's is probably close to 260+HP.

i have driven an STi....i like it....the interior sucks though. Too econo japanese car like for me....kinda like an evo is. Has those lil plastic covers over things that it doesn't have or aren't available on the STi.....i'll never get rid of my saturn....i love everyday i drive it. it's on cardomain and all finished now....soooooo many upgrades since this video was taken.

ur trying to compare boost to a N/A...why dont we take a look at that motor without the boost and then see who wins, the SI or a Ion...cause boost will always be >> N/A, in torque especially. All i know is that my COMPTECH Supercharged SI would own this thing 9 times out of 10.

Definitely a fun car to drive. And the new Accord with a 3.5 V-6 still only runs 14.5, the same as a stock Ion Redline. This car should be able to get into deep 13's with just sticky tires now.
Yeah, I've got one, they rock. For an inexpensive car, they're hard to beat.

your service guy is full of s&^t....the stage 1 and stage 2 use the same tune. so it doesn't matter. get the stage 2 and either a K&N drop in (like me) or a typhoon
