  • I loved this song & this music video with the animals roaming around a city when I was 10 years old! This song & 'Spaceman' made me buy the record 'The Boy With The X-Ray Eyes', when it first came out in 1996, which was a decent record for it's time.

  • this song is utterly rtarded

  • @valencis1922 Not as retarded as your spelling.

  • i cried like a baby watching this video, i miss being a teen in the 90s, with the music, and the generation x, and the super nintendo (the N64 for the rich kids of the block), the prodigy, the chains and piercings, the rebelion.

    oh whatever man

  • He loves a bit of metallic lycra doesnt he

  • the lead singer is now in india doing charity work... good luck to him

  • "Try-anasuarus" ??

  • "No its not Brian Molko".

  • ive been walking with this song for ages but of course i wont let B.Z break my spirit because he wasnt there meanwile he wasnt walking in my shoes anyway

  • Awesome song. Look at these suckers at these days, I havent seen a new good music for a looong time

  • AWESOME

  • You can see the Suede influence...but def the Bowie and Bolan. Also...others followed. Noel Fielding musta based Vince on Jas Mann. I think this knocked Spaceman off the #1 spot in Greece. How's that for a snooker?????

  • great group....they boke the record for fastest selling single when they came on...earlier record was with beatles...

  • we miss jas

  • Love this song...really reminds me about my childhood. I wish this band could come back!

  • bet vince noir is based on jas.they wear the same clothes, have ways with animals...

  • I remember someone refering to Jas Mann as the proto-Molko :o)

Though Placebo are great, it seems Babylon Zoo's flunk was a cruel twist of fate.

Strikes me as a precursor to Mechanical Animals era Manson, too.

& of course BZ drew on a rich seam of glam history themselves.

  • I love obscure bands that among my friends, I'm the only one who has heard of them!

  • @RubyHazeChick because you're an indie wanker that listens to music to look cool rather than enjoy it?

  • @quibb666

I enjoy most music from mainstream to indie to classical. FYI calling me an indie Wanker while I live in Canada is rather simpleminded of you. I'm more broad-minded than you and probably older than you, so I know better than to put-down an innocent comment about great music undiscovered by the masses.

  • @RubyHazeChick Nice come back. (No sarcasm)

  • people always ignore the other songs by a so called one hit wonder band when often the can be so good.

  • tak tuhle skladbu od nich mám nejradši - koupila jsem si kdysi i jejich origoš kazetu, mojí první, druhá byla Bestie boys - Intergalaktic . . .:-))

  • great a stuff;]

  • i love how he says "animal"

  • F CKI 'N GREAT!

  • did anyone notice at 1:07 the elephants are mating O_O

  • Indian GOD of music and art JAS in my paradise ... : )

  • That song have over 14 years but still haven't aged, because of Jas interest. Jas Mann is a big fan od Science-Fiction. I love that dark, space-like sound. Good music from 90s is ageless. It sounds perfect nowadays and also a dozen years ago. Stupid remix of "Spaceman", with chipmunk voice ruined whole song and turn it into any grotesque. I hate any remixes. I loved only original studio versions. 1:59 - the same sound listen in "Serious Sam" game. This is voice of Alduran Reptiloid.

  • misunderstood and ridiculed, but his music still sounds fresh today.

  • I love this song. It's even better than spaceman IMO

  • trippyest shit EVER! love it

  • oh, I love Jas , he is great , so ahead of his time, so misunderstood...come back Jas Mann!!!

  • this guy was a great composer his music is great his singing is unusual but good but his lyrics let him down

  • SPAACCEEE MAAAANNNN... ALL I WANNA BEE ISS AA SPAACCEE MAAANN oh sna-

  • more cool camp glam rock

  • ... and his eyes will become radiantly blue... like the eyes of the freeman in dune

  • the reason babylon zoo had limited success was that they were too talented, most people prefer the horrendously mediocre R&B records.

  • It would have been better if he hadnt included the animal noises. Which track do u think he should have released then?

  • sounds like smashing pumpkins great stuff

  • Search "monarch slave celebrities" for satanic celebrities. Almost all of them...

  • ranch-- for a satanic band try Venom.

  • Cool song & video!

  • this song is not at all satanic!....Babylon Zoo are not satanic.....Have u ever heard of slipnot? have a listen and see the difference! Babylon Zoo rock i love this band, but they are not satanic....neither is spaceman!!!

  • slipknot are hardly satanic.

  • ye sorry i just meant in comparison to babylon zoo....does anyone know a band that is satanic?

  • Fuckloads.

  • @rancho863 slipknot are not satanic at all. Norwegian black metal bands like mayhem and burzum are the satanic ones

  • Maybe at the time this was way ahead into the future for a British Asian Artiste.

Maybe Jay's ambitions were to much for the record label to endure either way this is the rockiest any ethnic minority british artste has ever got on record or for that matter music video

  • yes maybe.. sad but have to agree.. lobbies, the industry of massive pop comercial culture, discrimination.. it's not for the Music itself anymore..

  • Satanic !

  • Spaceman certainly was satanic but i dont see how this one was. Please explain

  • Love the guitar rift in this track

  • "Tyrannosaurus, marching towards us"

Probably the greatest opening line in the entire history of recorded popular music

  • Cool !

  • omg i remember listening to this on the way to wales.. i was driving a ferrari 355 spider ..and it was the best feeling ever, summer of 97 ..i think.

  • anybody know how do i kontact jas mann?

  • he has a myspace get in touch through that..

  • have you tried myspace?

  • @AGENTKAGE last I heard he moved to live in some desert. I remember I had this on single (on tape may I add)

  • Yes try myspace, just out of curiosity why do you want to contact him? Are you trying to revive his career or something? I assume your an agent.

  • Where are they?? COME BACK!!

  • let's make a petition and send him... COME ON PEOPLE!

  • this group needs to come back, great song and terrific group.

  • Does anyone else think his voice sounds kinda like Bowie's? esp when he says "Angel" hehe! :]]

  • why does this remind me of stone roses 'I wanna be adored?'

  • lol your right ....

  • that rif is amazing!

    Jass, youre the man

  • The album version is better. In saying that apart from this and Spaceman the album was very lame.

  • I hate to, but I totally agree with you!

  • Videotaped from Czech tv?

  • oh the memories of youth...

  • suede-esque song. nice and catchy in a good way but i think the video shouldn't have been so overproduced. It's nice but at times irritating.

  • This beats listenin 2 Beyonce tracks!!! <3

  • what a trip ! :))

  • I love this tune man!

its as catchy as fudge, so 70s!

he looks like a pretty exotic version of bowie

  • F Y I its '90 s

  • It's like being on acid!

  • JAS MAN ROCKS

  • what a great time :)

  • True, true...

  • I still love this!

  • COOLEST SONG EVER!

  • truth @PeterPunkass......Jas Mann and babylon zoo were ahead of their time...to bad the banal, mundane world wasn't ready for their progressive take

  • Comment removed

  • dude kan you send me the vid

  • Comment removed

  • Space man is better im sorry i will rate it 4 stars !!

  • haha the song is fantastic, the band too, but in this video Jas looks like Britney Spears in toxic haha just kidding, but when I saw it It reminded me that and I just laughed lol

  • iz frum dooodlay iz jarz, buhrt Eee wernt tah worlves! gooo on kiddah!

  • so peinlich, dass es schon fast wieder gut ist ^^

  • i like babylon zoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks!

  • flam you hate them but i know loads of people who still like this including me so you should keep your mouth shut

  • rofl one hit

I think this was a hit too

  • flamboayant, they made one of the biggest hits of all the time. And then neverheardRandomLoser like you come and say such a things.

    Pretty funny actually

  • christ, sounds like early mansun

  • un video da paura!

  • Its a fantastic video for its time

  • Jas Man is a genius and needs some re-recognition. The Boy With The X-Ray Eyes is a fantastic album (iTunes it UK posse! And ebay it U US guys!) and the other 2 albums are great too

  • almost a mimic of the stone roses!

  • Most expensive pop video ever made at the time, bet you didn`t know that!

  • Yeah I did, I looked on Wikipedia too ;)

  • someone tell me why he looks like a gay version of dani filth

  • I love the guitar.

  • The 90's were.... spacey.

  • i think guitar and everything else is wonderfull here. Nice stuff. It is getting me relaxed and optimistic. Don't get why ppl keep arguing about this video=)

  • very suede sounding band

  • Amazing

  • It´s greats!

    son grandes, música futurista!

  • holy crap this song

    and video is weird..

    I'm guessing they were

just a one hit wonder when

they came out with Spaceman? ahaha

  • @Imxoneofthefallen that dont make sense as this was a hit for them so how could they be a 1 hit wonder?

  • Did they run out of ideas for music or something? I mean come on, "Animal Army"?

The lyrics don't even make any sense.

  • look at band's name...

  • Great name indeed. The band's name is not the topic of discussion, however. After making it big with Space Man, the band should have stepped up their music. Jas Mann made it known that he intended to become a living music legend. This song completely contrasted what he promised to do. If he is going to make claims as much as he did, he should deliver on them. He got left behind by the music world when he failed to live up to his own expectations.

  • this is better than alot of the new music thats out, it has that catchy tune you can just mellow out to and i love it

  • The guitar bit at the start isn't too bad but once he starts singing it becomes torture to listen to.

  • this song is beautiful....just like me

  • what utter sh!te

with a bit of luck jasman WILL actually disapear up his own arse. he's obviously heading in the right direction.

  • Jas Mann reminds me of Michael Jackson lol

  • Yeah, he reminds me sometimes too

  • good song! and Jas Mann is SO HOT! so sad that he is gay ;)

  • who cares if hes gay or not?, that wont change his music.

  • jajaja i know. i don't care. i was just kidding.

  • hat mich über meine Facharbeiter Prüfung geholfen, einfacher Ohrwurm

  • GREAT!GRRRRR!

  • énorme ce morceau un killer on entend + parler d'eux quel dommage!! c'était un groupe de fou i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • jas man hehe ^^

  • kyaa con el video recorde mi infancia .. cuando era peke amaba a jazzman xD

  • THE ANIMAL VOICES ARE THE BEST PART!!Besides the incredible music!!Don't be so conservative!!

  • This comment is for the other Animal Army video!

  • pioneers of rock & electronica music, PINK FLOYD

  • As much as this song/video rocks, if they'd removed the animal noises and Jas had toned his performance down and made it a bit more sinister I think this video might have worked a little better. It's still pretty awesome though.

  • i agree

  • What's the point for a comment like this? Is there any point at all? Maybe you learned a new word - gay. And if you don't know, what it means, then I say to you. It means, that man likes men. You got it now? I don't think that here is any gay stuff, so, think before you post something stupid.

Oh, and this is really great song. Just listening and listening over and over again :D

  • YEAH!You'r right men!Awesome!

  • i can't stop listening to this song.

  • sure looks it, but gotta say sounds great, brings me back to '1982...hey man, gay people make good tunes, ok ok you got me on village people.

  • so is your mom.

  • so is ya dad lol xxxxxx

  • You know what? If you look at his music now, i could relate to Linkin Park. Where rock meets electronica. I bought his album the first week i heard Spaceman. whatever you guys say, i think he was one of the pioneers of rock & electronica music.

  • i agree!!! He was WAY ahead of his time! Genius always is. This is one of the greatest music videos ever made and one of the best albums ever-totally unappreciated by the masses!

  • he's the chungwit, the biff-buff and the puff pastry hangman.

  • wooow, this song is out of this world,

    Psychedelic!!!!!!

  • Allways Love Babylon zoo!!!

  • That's a good point but it doesn't apply. The soundtrack is well done.

  • I love his voice :)

  • glam baby :) sounds like a t-rex song!

  • favorite babylon zoo song, can't find it anywhere.

  • i think you can find it on a music software called ares or limewire

  • i'm so gonna buy 'the boy with the x-ray eyes'. where i live it only costs about 3,5 euro

  • 懐かしい!!

  • i love this song

  • I was a huge fan of Babylon Zoo long time ago, but never had this video. Thanks!

  • nagashduterroir..thank you for this clip

  • cool je l'ai cherché longtemps, merci =)
