@Mr1990Noah Because she says it makes her a BETTER judge than a white man. Judges are supposed to be impartial and just deal with the facts. They are not supposed to be swayed by the fact that the person they are juding is a man, woman, black, white, or latino, or rich or poor. She clearly states that she will judge according to her background. A good judge does the best he/she can to judge fairly by the laws no matter what. This could in essence create discrimination against men or whites

@Echadintx It is more likely for a woman to be more understanding and empathetic toward women. It is more likely for a person of a racial minority to empathetic and understanding of the prejudices they still endure. It makes sense. Diversity fosters tolerance and understanding.
