  • Wow. You at least have the courage to put a video up about this. I couldn't do it.

I blush when i'm looked at, when i'm talked to, when i watch live t.v.(when awkward moments occur), just for the smallest things. I heard ETS surgery is super-risky, so i've been browsing through youtube and everywhere else looking for alternatives.

    Hopefully things change, right?

    Cheers!

  • @fackinrankor Thanks! I used to blush a whole lot more. I still do blush on occassion, but it doesn't affect me nearly as much as it used to (as in feeling embarrassed about it). It's probably a result of my weekly therapy sessions and new medications. I remember reading about that surgery back when my blushing was keeping me from visiting people, even close family. It is not worth it. I would seek other options before that. Things can change!

  • @fackinrankor I want to also mention that a great deal of it is being comfortable enough with yourself that such things don't bring you down. Of course, this isn't easy in any sense. I began my medication / counseling therapies back in late November, it's been a long journey, I'm nowhere near done. But again I think that I'm now able to blush once in a while, and it doesn't trigger nervousness anymore!

  • oh and as for the turning red part...it's happening more than ever! I totally hate it!!! Especially since I'm around people all of the time at work. I'm totally looking forward on watching more of your SA videos as they come out :)

  • You did such a great job making this video! I'm pretty confident that hypnosis can help you drudge up old memories. But it might take a session or two. Unfortunately, I stopped seeing my hypnotherapist because I just didn't see any results after my last session mostly because I haven't been doing any of the exercises that she told me to do plus it's getting pretty expensive...but I'm going to start listening to some hypnosis mp3's that I found on hypnosisdownloads

  • @ckkbleev Thanks so much! That means a lot. It was definitely hard to put this up on youtube for all to see! :P Aw, that's too bad it didn't really workout, but everyone's different. I definitely agree though, those "specialized" therapies can be expensive... I'm lucky I have such a small copay otherwise going to my therapist and psychiatrist would be near impossible!
