I'm somehow a distant cousing, but don't know how. My grandmother remembered her father visiting Frank James in jail when she was a young girl. He was awaiting one of several trials. Probably bandits and outlaws; but neither Frank nor Jesse was ever convicted in court. Frank was found "not guilty" 2 or 3 times by a jury of his peers.

The blood of Jesse Woodson James runs in my veins and i can promise you that everyman he shot had a gun and saw it coming so deal with it. Besides the past is the past half of the crimes he was accused of was because it was easier to blame him than to find the ones who really did it. When a gunfight caused a sheriff's bullet to hit a little girl it was Jesse not the sheriff that paid her medical bills. So Jesse was more of a man than any man today.
