  • the TT 600 might have a little less power than the Japs but the breaks are so much better and it handles like a dream.. very very nimble and agile

  • I heard that the fuel mapping isn't all that great on these bikes... well thats what I've heard from the 2000 model... how is it on the 2001 model? im looking at buying one but I wan't to hear from an actual 2001 owner.

  • @SeriouslyOut88 The mapping wasn't too too bad, it did run a little rich at times. I did have some issues when I first got the bike with the stator and had to replace it. It wasn't a bad attempt for Triumph to get into the 600 sport bike scene, although for the year, I just don't think it competes with the Jap bikes. The TT definitely is a comfortable riding bike though. I've since upgraded to a Daytona 675, and I think Triumph has finally got it right. If you can pick a 675, do it.

  • @DMCMOTO24 Cool thanks for the input and I really want a Daytona 675 but where I live, if there is one, its more expensive then I can afford. :( Eventually I will get one. Probably when the 07 model becomes cheaper because that's my absolute favorite bike. I also heard from someone that a Power Commander could fix the mapping problem because it supposedly has preset mapping that is ideal for the bike... I may try that unless a 675 shows up in my budget. but thanks again!

  • @SeriouslyOut88 Yea the PC will definitely help. Before I found my 675 I had (but ended up selling to my dad to get the 675) an '04 Daytona 600. It definitely was more sound of a bike than the TT, but obviously no where near the 675 in terms of performance or handling. The D600 and TT are def. more comfortable rides on the longer trips, but don't have the snappiness or maneuverability of the 675. Good luck with whatever you get and have fun with it. And a PC will def. clear up some issues!

  • @SeriouslyOut88 Got 2001 that had bad problems low revs, took it to dyno specialist who put a map from another triumph on bike and it now runs a dream

  • Lean back a bit more and be smoother on your throttle, you are just doing a pwr wheelie and running out of revs...... check my R1 video keep the front wheel up tho!!

  • i cant get my tt to pull up off the ground that easy :( but im trying and i will get it soon enough :)

  • @HateOnlyYourself Its easier if you compress, and when you release the clutch, pull back. at least thats how I do it on my 650r. hope it helps

  • What that light which is near the final revs mean ?

  • can it do anything else besides wheelie?

  • V.nice, but next time pls wear a leather jacket w/protectors and a back protector

  • ya it sounds sweet! I got a 01 TT and easily keep up with my friends on r6s... But i do find it easier to wheelie with theres then mine

  • What pipe do you have your bike?

  • Two Brothers

  • @DMCMOTO24 alot of Triumph owners hear so i hope you people can help answer my questions.

my mates have just bought 600s. an R6 and a TT600. I need to comfortably whoop the triumphs ass and dont want to go about 700cc to do so. I know the R6 will be tough to keep with but i reckon my roadcraft should keep me on his pipe.

Any ideas ppl? i fancied a gixxer but iv heard they r uncomfy as hell, currently got an cbr400rr. so i dont think there will be too big a comfort difference!

  • do you guys notice any difficulty keepin up with the japanese 600s? im debating betwen this and a 600 gixxer for the spring and I've always loved triumphs.

  • i read on a review that the tt was 1 second faster around the track than an r6.

i dont have any trouble at all keeping up to my mates japanese bikes(cbr rr,ninja 600). and i feel the tt is alot more agile around the corners due to its frame, BRAKES ARE IMENSE btw.

  • yea thats my bike, I ride with a few new gsxr's and a ninja...no problem what-so-ever keeping up with them when i want to.

  • well my buddy just bought one yesterday, its a 2000 but mapped to a 2002, so I'll get a chance to see what they're capable of this weekend. thanks for the imput, 90% syre that I'm gonna pick one up in the spring if I can find one

  • these bikes are awsome..got one myself..black02 version.

    nice wheelies (bike sounds awsome)
