BTW: it appears that a peak was reached in May 2005. More oil was pumped in that month than in any month since.
Whether that will be surpassed or not in the future is unclear, but many of the proposed secondary and tertiary effects of Peak Oil (food price inflation, fuel shortages in poor countries, financial market instability, etc.) are now happening.
My guess is we're past the peak, but it's a bit of a broad, flat peak, and the "boiling frogs" just don't get it yet.
BlueEgg, that's excellent....I plan on doing exactly that same style of public questioning in Honolulu. I think Honolulu will be in real trouble as we are the most remote group of 1 million people totally dependent on shipping and air transport....pssst...yet, barely a hush of it in the street (I suspect, to be confirmed).
who wants to be disillusioned?
it is easier to hypnotize people than to teach them to reason.
it is easier to hypnotize people than to reason with them.
most people would prefer to be hypnotized than to learn to reason.
thus, evil men have always, do now, and very likely far into the future will control your minds.
how do you combat this? teach people to reason? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha
oh, BTW, BE, when will peak oil production occur in the United States?
