  • For god's sake, why is this allowed to happen, it today's world? Another reason why I have a hard time believing in a god.

  • Why are they all allowed to run around naked. How difficult are simple nighties to make ? They only have to be a simple caftan style shift - nothing elaborate. Something for a bit of dignity.

  • This is a disgrace. It's like a prison, locked in for the night. And what happens if there's a fire ? How does one man on his own unlock all those doors and get those children out by himself. After all they aren't capable of getting out by themselves even if he just unlocked all the doors. The answer is ...they would die in their beds.

  • You'd be mentally disabled too if you were almost starved, and left to lie in a cot all day and night with no mental or physical stimulation or any love and care. Some decent food and play, and people around you who love you and show it would make the world of difference. Oh and by the way some men would be far more loving and caring for these children than some women.

  • 08:07 :dont let me persuaed you today" and what exactlty did he mean by that?

  • The "selh harming" can be a resulty of extreme bordem!

  • this makes me sick to my stomach. my god.

  • this is satanic ritual abuse. people in gov't have to serve the devil human misery and here it is, the innocent suffer. oh GOD please!!!!

  • omgah y would they allow a man , he can take advantage of them since they can't talk etc ,

  • I am so lucky to live in a family and be healthy. I feel like I take it for granted too often.

  • if you think it is easy working in such a horrible place, then you should go there and see what difference you could make with the same resources. It is easy to criticize, but we should remembe that orphans at one time had parents. Vent your anger on them first, please. The people that work in these places are psychologically ruined, hardened and i feel sorry for them as well.

  • Poor Didi :(

  • @OmegaWolfVideos if it makes you happier, shes how in a special school where she gets to study, field trips and a real life... some of the others are also getting much better care because of this...

  • for sure this man abuses them its disgusting

  • omfg...sick bastards being allowed to shower young girls..those pedophiles probably fucking insisted it be that way...nasty motherfuckers...as if the women working there would even be ok with that...

  • Poor Didi :.( She seems like a normal human being to me. i wish someone would help her

  • You can't possibly think that its okay to feed a 7 year old kid a bottle just because he looks like an infant. These workers I'm sure have enough food in their own homes to share with these children.

  • I'd love to adopt Melan, He seems so sweet.

  • I wonder if as a woman, I would prefer to be locked into a room with just other girls (who by themselves can be brutal) or alone in an unlocked series of rooms with boys/men and only 1 caregiver and the uncertainty of night.

I can only put myself in this position, and the cruelty and desolateness is overwhelming.

  • @connectedmind1 Hi! Well, it was on the news a few weeks ago. This law's been passed, stating that no parent can really abandon their child, unless they have no other choice... if there are any other relatives that can take care of the child, or another parent... then they cannot abandon their children. Now, whether this law is now official, or maybe it is in the process of becoming official...I really don't know. :)

  • I find it stupid when she also emphasizes that Bulgaria is an EU member and how unacceptable this situation is. In fact, since we are in the EU nothing good has happened to Bulgaria.

  • @connectedmind1

well ... i think she's just shocked at the fact some of the richest and most powerful countries in the EU haven't stepped to help sort out this problem.

my country (UK) instantly rushes to the rescue of Greece with their bankruptcy (even though we're in debt ourselves), yet we allow this kind of treatment, to innocent human beings, continue in Europe? not on...

  • @connectedmind1 I know what you mean but this is still unacceptable.

  • @connectedmind1 since u r in the eu europe gave billions in help to your government but they are so corrupt they spend it on themselves, thats why nothing has changed, take it up with your government if u dare,

  • Mensch, das ist doch kein Leben, die armen Kinder.

  • At 6:45 below the bed there is shit on the floor.I assume that even though they are locked in overnight they do have access to a toilet? Even if they are unable to use it themselves. How do you stop an unattended patient from shitting on the floor in the night?

  • these orphanages are closed down now... and these kids are in proper care now... :)

  • @MizzMishkas How do you know this?

  • @skywifi Because I happen to be from Bulgaria, and there were a couple of tv shows were we'd raise money not only for these orphanages, but for all abandoned children overall, and now, this orphanage doesn't exist anymore: these children live with either their parents, or in foster homes, and just last week, a law was officially signed, where it states that parents are not to give their children to orphanages, but have to go through some long process beforehand.

  • @MizzMishkas That's awesome to know. Thank you so much!

  • @skywifi You are welcome! ;)

  • @MizzMishkas Hello,

frankly I am extremely shocked. I am also from Bulgaria. As a student I was also involved in some fund raising activities. However I saw no improvement as well.

You got my attention though, with this law you mention. Can you be a bit more specific? Is there any link to accurate information on that issue?

I think that the BBC should stop making movies that emphasize on the problems. Instead make movies that emphasize on the solutions!!! Create ideas for improvement!

  • @skywifi besides, I could understand everything that was said by the Bulgarians, and I can tell you something true: the English lady was talking nonsense, and the translations were wrong. -.-

Besides, it's the BBC, and as a friend of mine (who happens to be English) once said: It's the BBC, they'd try and make England look back as well! :D

  • @MizzMishkas Can you give an example from one of those wrong translations?

  • @EllentJ93 Well, Idk what video that one is in, where the BBC lady is talking to some lady, and the BBC lady is asking about computers and technology in the orphanages, and what the lady thinks of them. The lady says: That this is disgraceful, that the BBC is sort of blaming her about the conditions in the orphanage, when she doesn't have anything to do with anything. And that the BBC lady sees for herself, that the gov. isn's doing anything. Who's she to blame her?

  • Meanwhile, the BBC translates it incorrectly, that the lady says that it is disgraceful that she asks for the computers, and random stuff like that. When she wasn't even talking about the computers. Also, that sometimes the Bulgarian people, the BBC lady was talking to, they did not understand everything that they were asked about,so their answers were sometimes irrelevant. I am disappointed, why does the BBC never show anything good about the Balkan countries(e.g the good orphanages)? :/

  • @MizzMishkas when did this happen?

  • I would like to wash deedee, she is actually older than me by a few months so it is ok. She's cute, I would show her love and affection.

  • OK the men washing the girls is beyond disturbing... and the constant wales and screams u hear in the background!! I can't take this... TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! SO WRONG. Anyone who allows this to go on and could be helping is a piece of shit.

  • and piling the kids into rooms at night and locking them in there! what the F is that?? this is sickening... shame on those people. calling themselves caretakers!

  • They are sooooooo skinny!! They must be able to feed them more so that they put a little weight on? They look like concentration camp victims. If they are in an orphanage with decent resources why can't they eat more? This is so messed up and disturbing.. it makes me physically sick to watch. My heart breaks for those children.

  • Why are the children so damaged and malformed? What happened??? It's horrific. The ones who are rocking back and forth with their tongues out...

  • @Ferarigrl Many are mentally disabled but disabled or not, if you let a child just lay in a crib their limbs deform. And an adult or child will have muscle wasting from lack of activity. Social creatures like humans, monkeys, dogs, etc, need interaction to develop properly. That's why solitary confinement is so damaging to prisoners.

  • @tkchaos2000 Yeah my sister watched the videos w/ me and she didn't get as emotional as me about it b/c she thought the kids/teenagers had to be mentally retarded. I don't believe this. I mean I'm sure a lot of them had setbacks before coming there, i.e. mentally slow, learning disabilities, deaf, blind, etc.. that's probably why they ended up there. The parents didn't want to deal with it. If that isn't it, does anyone know how these kids ended up at the orphanage?

  • @tkchaos2000 anyways I do believe that many of these kids likely had mental problems prior to coming to the orphanage, but the rocking back and forth, the eyes rolling back in the head, the random noises they make.... it seems like this is the result of being locked in a house of neglect where there is no love and no social interaction. I mean did you see how the caretakers take a child from one bed to another? It's like they are handling a bundle of logs.

  • @tkchaos2000 the dark skinned girl (or boy, not sure which) was so in pain when they were changing his clothes due to the exposed wound on his hip... not to mention the sickeningly frail condition of his bones. He couldn't have had any fat on his body... and this person is supposed to be 16 years old!!! This cannot be called an orphanage. Neglect is all you see in these videos. And people say what would you do, as 1 of 2 workers w/ 75 children to watch...

  • @tkchaos2000 the government should have 30 workers for these 75 mentally challenged sick children who have suffered even more damage due to the neglect taking place at the orphanage. I couldn't believe that the 1 nurse tried to say that the dark skinned child had a broken, deformed leg but there was nothing they could do about it. She acted like it wasn't really a problem, yet he or she was shrieking in pain when lotion was being put on his/her feet. unbelievable. I am going to take action

  • @Ferarigrl It is true, they should have more caretakers but they might be able to get/afford them. I am not familiar with Bulgaria so i do not know the job issues there. The manager of this place is despicable at best and yes the caretakers seem to have become numb to the children. Unfortunately no matter what country one may live in, problems like this exist. It is sad how many suffer for no reason.

  • Not according to Nesaday they don't..........

  • I LOVE MELAN!

  • You can't tell from the translation, but the way the careworkers are speaking to the children and the way they talk about the children implies affection. Not word choice precisely, rather the conjugation of the words. They are using diminutives (found in French, among other languages), which is encouraging to me because it shows caring and an empathy for their charges. English has no such conjugations so it cannot be translated without an explanation.

  • Something needs to be done about this! It would not cost much to sort this problem. They have money for bombs but nothing for dying children im ashem to even be british.

  • WTF?!! Why the hell do they let a man go near a bunch of naked girls? They are all mentally disabled and he could easeliy take advantage of them!!! Why the does the goverment of Bulgaria closes their goddamn eyes? They are a part of the Union and they do nothing!!! Go to hell who ever is in charge of all this madness! How can you sleep at night??

  • @TheKadamungus THERE S NO MORE PERSONAL AVAILABLE TO DO THAT....NOBODY WANT S TO CARE OF A DISABLE MENTALLY PERSON

  • so sad, i really hope they get the care and food, health care they need :(
