hey thanx for posting the vids, i´m going to the ny concert on the 19th but i want to know how early do i have to get there in order to be next to the stage can someone tell me how early did you have to get to the concert

that's goign to depend a lot, what does your ticket say? Well extimate at least 90 minutes after that start time is whent he concert "really" starts.

Get there 4 hours before the ticket time. No later than 2 hrs prior. Make sure ppl don't cut, cuz at these things that seems to be happening a lot. Even in Boulder the line nearly wrapped around the builidng by the time they let us in.

hey I don't think I got your last reply to my comment lol.......... but anyway I will comment on this comment lol. I thought the concert last week started at 8 p.m. but it was actually 9 p.m. but that's okay. The line got pretty dang long by the time they finally let people in.......but what a wait that was well worth it!

You can bet there will be people getting there 6 or even 8 hours early. And I would estimate that NY has a huge following. Make sur to bring a thick sweater or coat. Avoid carrying anything, even a purse, espeically if you don't want it stolen.

Bring a small bottle of water, leaving what you don't need in the car. Hide stuff in your socks, and be especially careful with your ticket, as ppl have been known to get them stolen IN LINE! Probably more in NYC.

I should have done many of these thing, instead I had a bookbag between my feet the whole time... not fun. Also I would advise not using back jean pockets.

MUST DO: wear comfortable shoes! Gel insol ideal. At first I was tempted to wear something too fashionable and painful. Though you can still wear colorful stripie socks like I did :).

If there is any speical over-21 stamp or wrist band, show ID and get it, might offer easier access inside to stuff. I recommend avoiding the bar inside, I avoid getting drunk, but if you must do so in line or something. Save money for the merchendise, which tends to sell out quickly.

MUST bring ID no matter what. Don't forget this! Some concerts are over-16 only. Some seats are over-21 only, etc...

Go straight to getting as close as possible. Avoid the temptation of mechendise and of a bar if there is one. Avoid bathroom breaks! Plan this appropriately. Pee just before the line starts moving basically. It might be a really long one, especialyl if they have another band opening for them.

It was cool that you guys taped the concert! I was there on Tegan's side which was cool, but I could barely see Sara but anyway, I really loved this concert! I also got to meet them after the concert because I waited for them outside for about an hour and it was sooooooo cool to meet them! They are very sweet and down to earth and I hope they come back to Colorado soon!

My friend (username: lilemopirate) met 'em after waiting outside for 2 hours... she got her ticket stub signed and has the red Dunlop pick Sara had used some, at the end of the show.

Yes I got to meet them. There were about 20 of us outside just chilling in the back near the stage door, and after about 1 a.m. they came out with thier cute little jackets on and they took pictures with people and they signed autographs. They signed my t-shirt, my CD and my ticket stub, and they shook my boyfriend's hand but I was so shy and starstruck that I just smiled and told them they were awesome.Didn't get a picture with them tho...

I would haved wait till 4am, if I knew I could get the chance to see them.

Erm... I thought it would be too creepy or something. Then again maybe it'd be fun to get added to their restraining order list. Hem... I probably would have passed out from their awesoemness.

my girlfriend and i stayed to meet them, finally met them after 1am, they were cool and down to earth

Erm..., should have cute the black in the first 90 seconds, but they are actaully in the frame, and the audience could totally see and even more so with all the camera flashes. It was just too dark, and I thought it would be nifty to capture the coming on stage-ness of it all. That energy and excitment in the crowd...

I'm not happy with the quality of these vids though. I needed a good camcorder. I took it at twice the "uTube resolution" (640x480), and at half the frame rate... still not as clear as I'd like. I think that because I was so close to the loud bass, the vibrations added blurriness unfortuantely. But the sound quality is decient enough I think.

It was so much darker than I anticipated. Lots of random camera flashes. I only flashed a few times and mostly when tehy where between songs. I even covered all the lights and LCD screen as to be very inconspicuous and not annoy anybody.

It's taking a really long time to compress them, from 3 GB. Afterwards uTube takes forever to take the upload.
