What do you suppose Monson thinks about when he has to clip off a turd?? Numbers perhaps?? Penetrating turds? hahahahah I know!!! A magic turd to accompany his magic rock?? hahahahhaa
In other words with 14 missions disappearing and 10 new ones opening, convert baptisms steadily dropping, the Mormon church is desperate for new members. These 3 billion dollar malls aren't gonna build themselves...
I'm LDS. I appreciate those of other faiths who have defended my faith even though you don't necesarily agree with everything I believe.
I know, like many of you, that God loves us. He sent His Son to set the perfect example for us. He healed the sick, raised the dead. He called Prophets, Apostles, pastors and teachers that we be no more children, but of one faith. He has done the same today! He then suffered and died and was ressurected for us all. How do I know? Because I asked God.
Mormons have no place in heaven like others, but have a big place in hell. Temples that they had been made is not of God's will but it is only human presumption. Hell is there place....
All of History and all of science has disproven the very foundation of the Mormon Church. Study what Joeseph Smith was, said and did, and you will see what the entire objective scientific community agrees upon... that he was a fraud.
@monitorstn The entire objective scientific community doesn't agree on anything. I love watching you Anti-mormons grasp at straws... it reeks of desparation.
In other words, Monson is suggesting that members target the most vulnerable people because they are more likely to respond. Disgraceful. -I've met Monson personally and I wasn't impressed by him. He mocked so called anti-Mormons and has a lack of respect for those who don't fall in line...
that's right, get them when they're vulnerable - death, birth, teen angst, all wonderful "evangelizing" opportunities, because of course they're not thinking straight when they're so emotionally stressed.
You mean, Steven R Covey for example? Glady Knight? Oh, forgot to tell you... literally every LDS are converts. Is that what you mean by vulnerable? I am impressed then since the bible say "fools confound the wise".
Well no, these days most of the additions to lds membership are children of members. Hardly any of the converts stay active for even a year after baptism.
I didn't say or mean stupid people are vulnerable, I said certain personality types are, or people with a life experience, like people who lost a loved drawn to mormonism's eternal families.
It has nothing to do with being the truth but with filling a void in someone's life.
Convert stay active? Not surprised with being attacked all the time. When I had joined, I was shocked to see how my so called "friends" to mock my decision to join the church. I thought they would respect my choices, but no. Guess what? It's HARDER to be a mormon than an inactive mormon. How do I know? I was inactive. Yes, its too easy to quit. Besides, usually the inactive comes back. Like I did.
Yes, that's the problem though. Jesus said "my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Following Jesus is supposed to be easy, not hard. But the lds church puts huge weights of "worthiness" on people's shoulders, dangling eternal families and eternal progression in front of their noses to keep them motivated.
Yes, it is EASY once you've conquered Satan. JOINING the church is REALLY hard, but gradually, you'll get tougher against Satan. Satan would do ANYTHING IN HIS POWER to make you leave a religion.
That's the thing, you're the one who has to do the work in the lds church, instead of letting Jesus take care of it. There isn't actually any work to do, but the lds church tells you there is, that you have to "toughen yourself against Satan." Coming to Jesus is as easy and natural as falling in love. The lds church distorts the truth.
Ok. that's your experience and I had mine. The problem is, I did have a personal and direct answer from God that the church is true. So, nothing can override that. Sorry. Perhaps you can try asking God. Explain why apostles were killed in biblical times, and several attacks to early christians but its all easy for you? It's easy to follow Christ, but not easy putting up with all those attacks. Mmm..
Like start a man-made religion that lies and says that you can be a god & have a planet and many wives and spirit babies? You don't seem to understand that LDS WAS prophesied about in the NT- but as a false gospel that will serve men's wishes and pull them away from the true grace of Christ.
I have no desire to waste my time fighting with you b/c you are so convinced you are right you will never even consider what I have to say. So why should I bother?
"I have no desire to waste my time fighting with you b/c you are so convinced you are right you will never even consider what I have to say. So why should I bother?"
Then quit youtube and enjoy life. But you won't. You're too addicted to attack someone else's religion.
I continue to share my testimony against LDS for the same reason mishies continue to go out: it's what I believe, and I think it's important to share with those who don't know the truth. You have already heard the truth, but don't want it- so why would I fight with you? Plus, I've seen you screaming at people on a dozen other videos. Yet... you can't answer the scriptures you dared me to find... Interesting.
You think it's important to share? Ok then, what religion do you represent? I had never heard you talking about your religion and why I should join yours. All you do is bashing the mormons with your hatred. No wonder no one is listening to you. Give me a name of your religion, and I will consider it. Don't say "christian" because there's too many different conflicting christians sects. Give me a reason why you think yours is correct whilst 1,000 sects are wrong.
You can't force me to choose a religion just because you chose one. 1 Cor 1:10-17 covers this. I don't follow any one man's religion. I follow Christ. I have no problem attending with my Methodist friends, or Catholic, or Baptist, etc. But I follow Jesus and the NT, and so does my church. I don't pride myself on being God's One True Church, but as someone who knows and rejects false doctrine when I see it. (And LDS fits that description for me.)
"I have no problem attending with my Methodist friends, or Catholic, or Baptist, etc."
Why are they separated and different? If you're right, they should be united and have one name. LDS is false to your opinion, but not to me. You can't force me either. I follow the Church of Jesus Christ, not Church of Pope.
Let me ask you this: can you achieve salvation and exhalation without believing in and following Joseph Smith? Just b/c you put Jesus in your name doesn't make you Christian, not by a long shot.
I don't follow the religions of Methodists or Catholics or anyone else. I read the NT, see who Jesus was, and follow THAT. Why is that hard for you understand? Quit accusing me of what you WANT to be true about me.
I have already listed a dozen scriptures down below. I already know what your answers will probably be- I have dealt with people like you before. That's why I'll say it again- I'm not here to fight with YOU. I'm here to share my opinion with others who may not know the truth yet, and who may be buying into the "We're Christians! Really! But Better!" bs that the LDS church is putting out.
"We're Christians! Really! But Better!" Yes we are Christians, like it or not. We believe the Bible, we have the Church named after him. We honour Him as the Saviour of the World. He is your salvation. Now, give me ONE scripture and I will be happy to explain. Is it a christian duty to pull down a person's faith? No. You need to share YOUR gospel instead of pointing your finger screaming "WRONNNNG".
I don't hate Mormons. I hate rules and religion that stands to put obstacles b/n God and man, b/c Christ came to tear all of that down. I believe that Joseph Smith came and (falsely) reestabilished everything Jesus came and took away. I hate false gospels and blasphemy- but most MORMONS (as people) are kind, genuine and just mislead. How does my feeling that way make me any different than your missionaries? If they have a right (duty?) to share, so do I.
" I hate rules and religion that stands to put obstacles b/n God and man, b/c Christ came to tear all of that down." Name one. Tell me where the rules that teaches me to reject the bible and the Saviour. Can't find any.
Name one? How about temple recommends being needed in order to be allowed in God's holy presence? JESUS DESTROYED THE TEMPLES. He said WE are the temples. Paul told us it doesn't matter what we eat or drink, that those are personal decisions and not to judge each other on them- yet if I drink coffee I can't go to the temple.
EVERYTHING about LDS stands between people and God. The need for proxy baptism and ordinances shows that you don't believe that faith in JC is enough.
We are also told to give as our hearts feel we should give- yet LD$ DEMANDS a tithe to be worthy. Jesus said he did nothing in secret, yet you aren't allowed to talk about the temple. Paul tells us it is better not to marry but to stay single, yet I can't get to the highest level of the CK unless I marry and have kids.
GOD DOES NOT CONTRADICT HIMSELF, so I *KNOW* I can throw out the BoM and all other "revelations" b/c they go against the Bible.
The bible contradicts itself. I had several athiests pointing that out to me. So, feel free to join their club to reject the word of God by claiming the BOM to contradict the Bible. I haven't paid a tithing for 9 months and still permitted to go to temple. What goes in the temple is NOT a secret. Just sacred. Just like the temple in the bible. Give me a quote from Paul and I can easily answer it. Give me a reference and a quote. Takes me 5 mins to find everything and explanation.
Romans 14 clearly tells us that we are able to eat or drink whatever we please, and not to pass judgment on others for what they eat or drink. Again in 1 Cor 10:23-31. We are told to respect other's weaker beliefs, and to take care of our bodies, but that no food or drink is in particular bad or to be avoided. Before you say that the WoW is just "wise suggestions" try getting a TR while admitting you drink wine or coffee.
"We are told to respect other's weaker beliefs," and you've called me a liar....
Were coffee invented in the bible? Didn't know that. Ok, you win. It's ok to be an alcoholic then. You're right. Oh wait.. they drank wine in that time because water wasn't suitable to consumation in that time? No?
Water wasn't suitable? So babies drank wine? Everyone drank wine all the time? Nope. Not true. Quit making stuff up.
And the Bible tells us not to get drunk, but there is a difference between getting drunk and drinking. I choose not to drink, personally, but it doesn't make me any more worthy than a friend who has a glass of wine with dinner.
We do take care of our bodies, this is exactly why we shun caffiene and alcohol. Any problem with that? Yes, athiests gave me a long list of contradictions of the bible. I know they're wrong anyway. Just like I do with your opinions.
Why bother? Then ignore mormons and anti-mormons video. They don't work. They won't pull mormons out of the church, and they won't pull converts in. So, why bother? I am a happy convert and I am loving it. So what right do you have to destroy my sense of peace and happiness?
Why send missionaries? I believe Mormonism is sending people to hell- I honestly and genuinely do. Would you respect me at all if I sat back and said, "Meh. Who cares?" I wouldn't respect myself! I know that I won't change the minds of many Mormons, but if non-Mormons hear and learn the truth- that's enough for me. You may think it "doesn't work" but it does. I've talked with many who didn't get baptized after learning the truth, or people who did leave the church.
Why didn't ANY of christian churches send missionaries to preach gospel? I never had any religious bodies coming to my door except for Jehovah Witnesses. I would be honoured to have a methodist coming to my door to share the gospel. I am impressed with the fact you've ignored the counsel from Jesus "Do not judge"... you've judged the mormons as they're going to hell. You're taking over Jesus' role.
Are you serious? You are going to claim that only the Mos and the JWs send missionaries? I was a missionary for four years, through YWAM. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of Catholic and Protestant missionary organizations.
Do not judge? Then why do YOU send missionaries? Why does your faith do proxy work if you don't believe you are more right than other faiths? I spread the truth b/c I want to see souls saved, not sent to hell.
We do proxy work, yes, and it is STILL their (the dead) choice to accept or reject. Better safe than sorry for them. I spread the word too because I want to see souls saved as well. So, shall we agree we are on the same perspective? We both are saving souls but think each other as "wrong"? Here's a challenge. Why don't you ask God himself which christian church is true. I did. I am a convert. I simply asked Him to point a correct one.
Have I not pointed out the answer to this many times? I don't believe in a "church" as an establishment. I believe in JESUS, and in Him alone. If you can tell me that I am fully and completely saved and exalted through that faith, then we are talking about the same salvation. If you tell me I have to be baptized, or follow the WoW, or go to the temple to reach my full exaltation, then we are not.
Not to mention: God was NOT a man, we cannot be gods. (You have yet to answer that.)
We are NOT the same. You use Jesus' name, but you do not know the same Jesus that I do.
You were an atheist convert, so you believe them when they say we believe the same Jesus. I have known Jesus for decades, so I know that the LDS Jesus is not the one I have faith in. I read the BoM, I investigated, I took the lessons. I know your faith inside and out. It is NOTHING like mine.
Nothing like yours? Ok then. There you go. Enjoy your faith and allow me enjoy mine. I wasn't an atheist before I had joined. I had always believed in God and the bible before I joined. I asked God to show me which way. Then my prayers answered unless you believe that Satan is capable of defeating God when it comes to prayers.
I do know Jesus very well thank you. I love Him and I love his teachings, examples and parables in the NT. I am grateful for His sacrifice to redeem your soul and mine. He does love me and you. He loves everyone on Earth, even those who are wicked.
'I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet"
These are the words of Joseph Smith (History of the church vol 6) claiming he is better than Christ.
And THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS *have* left Joseph Smith.
Smith created a church that was about Old Testament law that Jesus came, fulfilled and said we are no longer bound to. THAT'S what the atonement is! We are free from the bondage of ritual and works to try to please God. Any good that I do is a RESPONSE to my salvation, already paid in full. You'll accuse me of believing that I can now go kick puppies and kill people and still be saved, but that isn't true. I am changed because I know Him.
I obey His commands b/c I know Him. But the truth is even if I DID fail Him, I cannot become unsaved. I cannot be snatched from His hand. That's His promise. And I don't have to worry about temple ordinances or levels of heaven. All of that is false and contrary to my beliefs. I don't believe God was ever a man. I don't believe my purpose in life is to become a god. My purpose in life is to glorify the one true God. These are all differences b/n your faith and mine.
You don't need temple ordinances? Then, let's us build a time machine and warn those people in the temple in OT times that they don't need temple either. If you think LDS is wrong. What are you going to do about it? Did you make any differences? No. We had millions of people like you attacking our faith on DAILY basis. And it had helped us to grow. Thanks for your help.
The OT was BEFORE Christ, the NT was AFTER Christ. The NT tells us we cannot fulfill the law, so God sent Christ, who is our high priest and our sacrificial lamb. B/c of who He was and what He did, temples are obsolete and not needed.
PLUS, LDS temples are nothing like OT temples. There was ONE Jewish temple at a time. You have over a hundred. They did animal sacrifices. You do not. Rituals were only done on behalf of the living- while most of yours are done for the dead.
But since you seem to think the OT is binding in all ways: I sure hope you never spoke back to your parents, or you should be stoned! I hope you don't eat shellfish! I hope you don't wear cotton/poly blends! Or interact with any woman having her cycle!
The fact that you don't agree that Christ fulfilled the law and did away with the temple PROVES that you don't believe the same things about Jesus as I do!
When Christ died on the cross the temple veil was torn in two- showing that there is no longer any separation between us and God, and no need for temples.
Hebrews 7 talks about the old priesthoods, and how they did not fulfill the law or bring righteousness, but how Christ's sacrifice was sufficient for ALL and HE is our high priest now.
And why are you coming here? I had never seen you commenting on other videos with Jehovah Witnesses, or Muslims or any other religion. Why pick Mormons only?
Again with throwing stones at me instead of answering the things I challenged you with.
But- I have a heart for this particular issue. Why does that matter? I believe LDS is one of the most deceitful cults out there. Muslims don't claim to be Christians, you do.
Ok. im ready. What scripture are you going to show me? You haven't done anything yet. Most deceiftful cults? Ok. Be happy with that and ignore those people who are killing your families. You're more interested in other's people's religion and not yours.
I have given you 2 dozen scriptures that show differences between LDS beliefs and my beliefs on food, God's nature, etc. I'm not posting it again- they haven't disappeared since I posted them.
Go read Hebrews 7-10. It clearly speaks to what the Jewish temple was about. Show me how it is the same as your temples (or even close, or similar.) It's NOT. Your temple is not rooted in the OT, it is rooted in masonry.
Second, even if they were the same, those same chapters also speak to how those temples are not needed now b/c Christ finished all of that work.
So, using the New Testament, please show me where temples are needed or prophesied.
As a christian, I am appalled with your attitude JAMaddict. Being a christian is about setting an example and serve the needy, not pulling down other people's faith. I've met a mormon and I have no problem with them. I can't stand it when a christian tries to anything to destroy a person's happiness. It is their choice to choose a relgiion, not yours or mine. Please follow Christ and don't walk over the others. Please be respectful. Christ is NOT a subject to argue about.
Do you know that Mormons believe that you must believe in Joseph Smith, not just Christ, to get to heaven? That you must be married and have kids to reach exaltation? That God was once a man, and that we can be Gods- in fact that is what we are to strive for? They baptize the dead and believe you can become saved after death. Jesus and Satan were brothers. We are saved by grace, after we do all we can to attain our salvation.
If you believe that is in harmony with what Jesus taught, go for it.
Yes it is in harmony of Jesus. You must believe and support the prophet. If you disagree, then screw the prophets in Old Testaments. No you don't need to be married to reach exaltation. You need to be righteous. God once a man, that's new and interesting theory for us to study. Baptism for the dead because they didnt hear the Gospel since the church has been restored in 1830's
The NT is very clear that Prophets as the head of believers were an OT thing, and now we have God's Word (the Bible), Jesus' example and the HS. We are no longer subject to prophets. Besides that, JS is *easily* proven as a false prophet, which makes every last stitch of LDS false as well.
Ok, tell me where in the NT that says "We don't need any more revelations and we don't need prophets". Give me the evidence that the bible is complete and infallible.
:The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached" Luke 16:16 is a good start. The gift of prophecy remains, but Jesus came as our final "Prophet" the way LDS sees the office of prophet.
Heb 1:1,2
"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son"
I believe the Bible is complete b/c God says it is. And, just like you take on faith that JS was a prophet, I take on faith that I can trust God's word. But, let's turn it around: how do you have any proof that the BoM is true or infallible? At least I can compare the two and reject the BoM b/c it contradicts the Bible.
Give me a scripture reference that He actually said "I am God and not man". Give me a scripture evidence that he does NOT exist as a man. Christians would disagree with you since they believe God is also Jesus!
Give me a scripture reference that He actually said "I am God and not man". Give me a scripture evidence that he does NOT exist as a man. Christians would disagree with you since they believe God is also Jesus!
Mal 3:6 "I the LORD do not change" (also James 1:17)
The trinity (Jesus being man and God) still supports the idea that we are not talking about God being man the way you do: b/c LDS God was man who became exalted. Jesus has ALWAYS been prefect and exalted, he did not progress to that state.
That's what you're gonna go with. God doesn't change- so he has to continue to send prophets? But he was a man and is now a God- so he changes that way?
Pathetic, terrible arguments. It is all explained, over and over, in the NT about how the law of the OT cannot be fulfilled, so God sent Christ, who is our prophet and our redeemer and our high priesthood holder- to complete all that Mormons busy themselves with day after day. It's already done.
Ok then. Leave them alone as it is. You just worry about your salvation and relationship to Christ and let them do theirs. Problems solved. Being "holier than thou" is making you looks lousy under His eyes. So, just do your own way.
I am NOT a mormon. I am being fair with you and them. So, you seems to be unchristlike compared to them. So, you might as well, get a life and worry about your soul. Not theirs.
There is something unchristlike pointing out "false doctrines". Pharisee think that Jesus were teaching a false doctrine, but he wasn't. You THINK they're teaching false doctrines, and they think otherwise and thought the same about you. It's unchristlike to DEMEAN the members. It's OKAY to share your thoughts, but no need to be insulting or "holier than thou". Jesus wouldn't be happy if you acts like a prideful pharisee.
Again: there is nothing unChristlike about pointing out lies that send people to hell. The "Jesus" that they preach is an emasculated, bastardized Jesus that looks little to nothing like the NT Jesus. Their doctrines are false and full of lies and heresy. I do not have to sit by and ignore that, and I won't do so.
I think Jesus is much more pissed off at a church that is leading His kids to hell, but thanks for your opinion. Now that I've heard it, will you leave me alone?
I will leave you alone once you've agreed to leave the Mormons alone. They've heard you before, and you're not the first or the last person to rub their face in. So, time up for you to move on to another religion to target. Tell me what so different about their Jesus? It's exactly the same as yours except for the visit in Americas. If it is a different Jesus, then he might as well be born in Africa.
Whoever believe in Him shall NOT be perished but have everlasting life. They believe in Jesus, and so are you. NEITHER of you will be perished. So, why are you complaining? "Different Jesus" were an invention of anti-mormons. It's a shame you didn't even visit the church for a long time to discover many things.
I don't you. First you scream at me to stop bashing Mormons, now you want me to list all the differences b/n their Jesus and mine? You're not even Mormon, why do you care?
Besides the fact that he is NOT the spirit brother of satan, as they claim, I also believe that he is THE ONLY thing needed for salvation. mormons do not. They believe you MUST (MUST) believe in Joseph Smith and LDS to reach exaltation and become a god.
I don't believe any of it. They also preach a thousand different rules (coffee, underwear, handshakes, etc) that you must do to be worth of God- Jesus said all religious stuff like that was false and he yelled at the leaders who put those types of rules on people.
I have no deisre to argue with you. Why do you care what I think, anyway? Are you the internet police?
There's nothing wrong with believing the prophets. You MUST believe in Noah or you will be drowned. What underwear? Do you mean garments like in the bible? handshakes? Do you mean tokens? Why did you replaces the proper names with your own alternative? They don't call it "underwear" or "handshakes". You did.
You have no desire to argue? Then leave them alone. I am teaching you what it is like to be a mormon and I am a your "christian basher". I bet you're pissed off now. Now you know how they feel.
No right to criticize? Really? I don't know what country you live in, but in the US I have the right to criticize anyone I want.
And "let them worship in peace?" Umm... remember that when they baptize your dead relatives into the LDS church. Or when the missionaries tell you you can't get to the highest degree of heaven unless you become like them.
@JAMaddict: not to mention how the Mormons distrurb my peace by going door to door and trying to convince people to join their church. Thankfully their baptism numbers are down about 100,000 a year since the rise of the internet.
Disturb your peace? Isn't that a bit selfish? They had travelled miles from their home and sacrificed their time and money to share the news to you and this is your attitude? What's wrong with welcoming them in for a quick chat and that's all. I did it a few times and made new friends. They're a great people to mingle with. They will respect you and treat you with loyality even you're NOT a mormon. I am not a mormon and I had my lawn mowed by them.
@blockedful1: geee, guess what, blockedful1? I USED TO BE a Mormon, and I was on a Mormon mission to Portugal where I did JUST THAT. I hated it, the people on whose doors I knocked hated it, and I now hate it too. I'll be friendly to the boys, especially if they're cute, and if they want to discuss the problems with Mormonism, or even just to visit in a religious, relaxed & polite way, that's fine. but yeah, it does disturb my peace when I have a kid who wants to thrust his mythology on me.
It's interesting to hear how people hate God. I'm sure you know now how Noah felt when he warned others of the flood. You know how Jesus felt when his own people rejected him. I would invite the misisonaries in for a quick chat and food. They may not convert me and I have no plans to covert them either. Nothing wrong with having a civil chat.
@blockedful1: you're not paying attention. I never said I hated God, don't be silly. And I believe I just did describe having a civil chat with them, so your comment really makes no sense.
@Kaileo1 If you don't hate them, then don't bring up anything negative or faults about them or their religion. Say something pro-mormonism if you don't hate them. I am not saying you need to believe or agree with them, only just point out the good they do for the world. That's all.
@blockedful1: that's a ridiculous answer. I disagree with an organization's practices, yet I shouldn't say anything that criticizes what they do? that's like saying I shouldn't criticize a political party! ridiculous!
@Kaileo1 I don't agree with it. What do I do? Say nothing and be nice. That's all. I don't waste my time going on and on and on and on about mormons. The missionaries and I talk about anything and everything. It's a human thing to do. Talking about mormonism 24/7 is a sad thing, worse if you're not a mormon.
@Kaileo1 Well, anyone who are willing to disagree with the prophet or refuse to listen is against God.
That's what I am implying. If someone listened and agreed with some of comments he said, then that person is agreeable with God but not with LDS. I mean anti-mormons claim EVERYTHING the LDS has said is a lie. "Jesus love you" is a lie according to antis. That why I am sick of them.
@blockedful1: now you are lying about what I said. I NEVER said that I disagree with EVERYTHING. And it seems you really are a member-- I'm not suprised at that. Lying for the Lord was common when I was a member.
Against God? Never. And I don't believe God has a religion, God is bigger than that.
Against false religions? I'm happy for any good they do, but I have every right to challenge them on their beliefs.
@Kaileo1 I am not a member. Since you were a member, then why did you lie about "lying of the lord"? I don't recall any doctrines or practice when I visited their wards. You have every right to challenge them? Then I have every right to challenge you and you didn't like it one bit.
@blockedful1: if God doesn't have a religion, then why would God have a Bible? C'mon.
Like it or not, I have NO problem being challenged. I DEFEND myself. And I did not lie... Mormons DO lie for the Lord. You simply wouldn't hear that discussed in church meetings, that's all.
Not all conflict makes you bitter. Conflict can also make you STRONGER.
Ok then. Tell me about your beliefs. I will gladly challenge you. Now. which bible do you believe? What's your doctrines? Commandments? The whole stuff. Forget mormonism. Tell me about yours instead.
@Kaileo1 "Reached an end". Let's me translate that, you're not willing to defend your religion or beliefs. You wanted to walk out with dignity attached and then carry on attacking other religion. You did say you have no problems with being challenged, I've started and you wanted to end it so quickly. So, I guess you've nothing to support your stand.
@blockedful1: your translator is broken. you can assume all you like, and make up any fake reason you wish. But it's still a fake reason.
Since I have no beliefs or doctrine about God, there is nothing to discuss. What part of "no beliefs" don't you understand? Are you really that obtuse?
I was trying to be nice before, but the reality is that I find your questions tedious and boring, and I have moved on to other subjects that interest me more than a stranger on the internet.
@divinehumanism I understand "no belief" but that doesn't match to your belief of "higher God". If no belief, then there must be no God. Simple as that. You were trying to be nice? Then can you explain why you were being nasty and sarcastic to the mormon? And why did you pick Mormons only? I had never EVER seen any comments from you towards to other religion. Just Mormons only. They're your favourite targets. Try making fun of a muslim and live.
@divinehumanism I am over it anyway, but anti-mormons are FAR from over. They're totally obsessed with a religion that they are NOT part of it at all. It's like a muslim talking non stop about catholicism and hating it. If you don't like mormons, then fuck off then. Get on with your OWN life. Easy! If you can't then you need to get help.
Some "anti-mormons" have lives that are inextricably linked with the LDS church. They may have family members or inlaws who are members, they may work in businesses with predominantly LDS demographics, or they may live in areas that are dominated by LDS policies. This idea that the church is completely non invasive and that those who are opposed to it can just "move on" is misinformed.
@blockedful1, "anti-mormons" are not obsessed with the LDS religion. They are obsessed with helping people to see it from a skeptical view. Heres some things that your church won't tell you. Joe was liquored up and shot and killed 2 people while trying to escape his "martyr" in Carthage jail. Joe had over 30 wives (some as young as 14) and kept it a secret even from his followers. I know the truth hurts, but the truth is the truth. You know a very censored version of Joseph Smith.
@sneedledout OK, well, how about what YOU are censoring? I notice you put "martyr" in quotes, but you don't mention that the two people he shot were armed mobsters attacking the jail, and Joseph fired those shots through a door the prisoners were trying to hold CLOSED. You also phrase it to make it sound like he was trying to escape the jail, when in fact he was defending himself from anti-mormons who murdered him. It's OK, I'm sure they were just trying to help everyone see things skeptically.
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE, Well what Im saying is he didn't go like a lamb to the slaughter. He thought his nauvoo legion would come to his rescue, which didn't happen. Do you even know why there was a mob after him? Its not because they just somehow hated mormons, Its because Joe Smith declared martial law and had his legion burn down the Nauvoo Printing Press that was going to put out an article about his polygamy. I would like to have a rational conversation without hatred. Are you down?
@sneedledout I think I'm going to pass, but thank you for your civil offer. You've already shown that even though you KNOW all the facts, you'll only admit the ones that support your case. Under those circumstances, I don't know if I could keep my temper.
Incedentally, know that I don't hate you. I very much hate what you and the other anti-mormons are trying to do to my faith, and I especially hate the tactic you use to do it.
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE Just like your church only tells you the facts that support their point. Everything I said in the last comment is documented in YOUR own church history. I may be only providing the facts that support my point, but that doesn't mean they are false. I know it may sound crazy because you probably "know" the church is true, but definitely look at some independent and unbiased articles about it (that means not a mormon, or anti-mormon website). Truth is a good tactic.
@sneedledout I think we may have different ideas of what "truth" is... mine is unbiased fact. And what you present is not either. 1. Joseph was not "liquored up," and it is not sure who killed the two mobsters in any case. 2. The Nauvoo Expositor had ALREADY printed an article about Joseph's polygamy. 3. They did not "burn down" the printing house; they did destroy the type and the press, but they did it outside the building with hammers 4. Joseph prophesied his death; he didn't expect rescue.
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE Actually am i not trying to pick a fight ..but since the press was destroyed under josephs orders ..then joseph broke the law and was subject to arrest ..Do you deny this ?
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE Joseph did send a message to his General Dunham saying "Get me the hell out of here now!" But Dunham ignored it. Odd. I think it's odd the jail had no lock on the door. People could come and go as they please so much so 2 guns some wine and probably a wife or two history has forgotten...anyhow, Everyone inside the jail was a Freemason. And everyone Outside the jail was a Freemason. The Gov, sheriff, deputy, jailer, etc. And J.S. last words were FM too, "My Lord and My God.."
@jeanniem76 Yes, you obviously know more about my religion than I do. That couldn't possibly come from something as public as Doctrine and Covenants 130, and of course, you wouldn't DARE twist his words in front of God and everyone, so I'm forced to assume that you're being objective, and Joseph Smith was truly a false prophet. Never mind all the valid prophecies, and never mind that Joseph Smith admitted himself that he didn't understand that revelation, IN THE REVELATION.
@sneedledout That's how I discovered the truth. I researched Journal of Discourses, History of the Church, Mormon Doctrine. Once that had me convinced I got into lack of archaeological evidence, dna research, Egyptology, linguistics, and occult symbolism...its disturbing when you've been LDS your whole life and discover these things. More than anything, but reading the Bible= the true word of God, it was obvious.
@jeanniem76 I am glad to hear that you have left the mormon church based on reason and evidence as opposed to blind faith. However, If you are swapping the Book of Mormon with the Bible now, you are still just trading one superstition for another
@divinehumanism I understand "no belief" but that doesn't match to your belief of "higher God".
@divinehumanism Did you forget who wrecked the World Trade Centre? Did you forget about Iraqi war? Million of people are dying and under attack. But sadly, you're busy attacking the mormonism to realise the REAL enemy are destroying you. It's like attacking a child whilst a murderer is raping your wife behind your back.
@Kaileo1 Yes, i am awfully keen because, like you, they're human. And like you, they have things you may have in common. And like you, they're great to talk to. If, I am focussing on things I don't agree with things, then I will end up bitter. I am keen on what we all have in common.
This is not an anti-mormon video. It's healthy to find souls and bring them to Christ. It doesn't matter which faith you belong, it important to concentrate your own salvation and be an example. Preaching or making any comments will never work. In fact, anti-mormons are LDS secret weapon of their growth.
Actually- it IS an anti-mormon video. It's posted here to show how deceitful, manipulative and predatory the bottom-feeders can be in seeking out hurting, impressionable people.
And if this is the secret weapon, y'all should be thanking me for furthering your cause.
I am not a mormon. So, I don't need to thank you for furthering their causes. I can see nothing wrong with this video. Is it wrong to help out who are in need? If someone is suffering, should the mormons say "Screw you?" or bring them to Christ? Besides, being a Christian, I would applause the mormons for being more practical than any christianity I've know of. Tell me, did you bring any souls to Christ lately?
If you think Mormons are so lovely and kind and don't judge: go watch defending momonism's video about brainwashing and see how much they hate and judge those outside of their cult. There isn't a single fact they can back up, just assumptions and twisting and projecting. The video pretty much says: Everyone else is selfish & shallow & greedy but Mormons are the good people.
Whatever.
I blocked you & HAG so I will not get any more emails.
Why did you have to block people? Why are you ashamed of your religion? They're not brainwashing cult. You're brainwashed to assume everyone outside your religion is a failure. Mormons ARE good people. I've caught them feeding the homeless other day. Did you know I used to be homeless until they had helped me out? No, they didn't even ask me if I wanted to join!
So, while I will not answer you any more, consider this: if mormons were the only kind, generous people out to help others, why is the entire world coming together to help Haiti? Is it POSSIBLE that people can be good outside of Mo-dom? Just maybe?!
Simple answer. They do. They don't brag about it. Heard of Humanitarian Aid? Also, how can you spot a mormon in haiti helping out? They're people and they looks like you. Yes, they do help out in every possible way. Why are you not helping them? You're sitting here posting comments to mormons and did nothing for Haitians.
Is there a bible verse that says he is NOT a brother of Satan? I thought God the Father CREATED ALL THINGS. Including Satan and Jesus? Are you related to Satan since God created you and him?

Because I asked God.

that's right, get them when they're vulnerable - death, birth, teen angst, all wonderful "evangelizing" opportunities, because of course they're not thinking straight when they're so emotionally stressed.
carlasue88 2 years ago
I had joined the church when I was NOT in any crisis. So, I was thinking straight. Why don't you ask the mormons how they had joined?
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Some personality types are more predisposed and vulnerable to cult tactics regardless of their life situation (crisis or not).
carlasue88 2 years ago
You mean, Steven R Covey for example? Glady Knight? Oh, forgot to tell you... literally every LDS are converts. Is that what you mean by vulnerable? I am impressed then since the bible say "fools confound the wise".
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Well no, these days most of the additions to lds membership are children of members. Hardly any of the converts stay active for even a year after baptism.
findarticlesDOTcom/p/articles/mi_m1058/is_17_124/ai_n20525201/
I didn't say or mean stupid people are vulnerable, I said certain personality types are, or people with a life experience, like people who lost a loved drawn to mormonism's eternal families.
It has nothing to do with being the truth but with filling a void in someone's life.
carlasue88 2 years ago
Convert stay active? Not surprised with being attacked all the time. When I had joined, I was shocked to see how my so called "friends" to mock my decision to join the church. I thought they would respect my choices, but no. Guess what? It's HARDER to be a mormon than an inactive mormon. How do I know? I was inactive. Yes, its too easy to quit. Besides, usually the inactive comes back. Like I did.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Yes, that's the problem though. Jesus said "my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Following Jesus is supposed to be easy, not hard. But the lds church puts huge weights of "worthiness" on people's shoulders, dangling eternal families and eternal progression in front of their noses to keep them motivated.
carlasue88 2 years ago
Yes, it is EASY once you've conquered Satan. JOINING the church is REALLY hard, but gradually, you'll get tougher against Satan. Satan would do ANYTHING IN HIS POWER to make you leave a religion.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
That's the thing, you're the one who has to do the work in the lds church, instead of letting Jesus take care of it. There isn't actually any work to do, but the lds church tells you there is, that you have to "toughen yourself against Satan." Coming to Jesus is as easy and natural as falling in love. The lds church distorts the truth.
carlasue88 2 years ago
Ok. that's your experience and I had mine. Mmm..
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Like start a man-made religion that lies and says that you can be a god & have a planet and many wives and spirit babies? You don't seem to understand that LDS WAS prophesied about in the NT- but as a false gospel that will serve men's wishes and pull them away from the true grace of Christ.
I have no desire to waste my time fighting with you b/c you are so convinced you are right you will never even consider what I have to say. So why should I bother?

I continue to share my testimony against LDS for the same reason mishies continue to go out: it's what I believe, and I think it's important to share with those who don't know the truth. You have already heard the truth, but don't want it- so why would I fight with you? Plus, I've seen you screaming at people on a dozen other videos. Yet... you can't answer the scriptures you dared me to find... Interesting.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
You think it's important to share? Ok then, what religion do you represent? I had never heard you talking about your religion and why I should join yours. All you do is bashing the mormons with your hatred. No wonder no one is listening to you. Give me a name of your religion, and I will consider it. Don't say "christian" because there's too many different conflicting christians sects. Give me a reason why you think yours is correct whilst 1,000 sects are wrong.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
You can't force me to choose a religion just because you chose one. 1 Cor 1:10-17 covers this. I don't follow any one man's religion. I follow Christ. I have no problem attending with my Methodist friends, or Catholic, or Baptist, etc. But I follow Jesus and the NT, and so does my church. I don't pride myself on being God's One True Church, but as someone who knows and rejects false doctrine when I see it. (And LDS fits that description for me.)
JAMaddict 2 years ago
"I have no problem attending with my Methodist friends, or Catholic, or Baptist, etc."
Why are they separated and different? If you're right, they should be united and have one name. LDS is false to your opinion, but not to me. You can't force me either. I follow the Church of Jesus Christ, not Church of Pope.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
That is a lie, my friend.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
I have already listed a dozen scriptures down below. I already know what your answers will probably be- I have dealt with people like you before. That's why I'll say it again- I'm not here to fight with YOU. I'm here to share my opinion with others who may not know the truth yet, and who may be buying into the "We're Christians! Really! But Better!" bs that the LDS church is putting out.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
"We're Christians! Really! But Better!" Yes we are Christians, like it or not. We believe the Bible, we have the Church named after him. We honour Him as the Saviour of the World. He is your salvation. Now, give me ONE scripture and I will be happy to explain. Is it a christian duty to pull down a person's faith? No. You need to share YOUR gospel instead of pointing your finger screaming "WRONNNNG".
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
"Yet... you can't answer the scriptures you dared me to find... Interesting."
Ok then, give me references and I will give you answers. Here's a scripture for you.. "Love one another". If you hate mormons then you've failed.

WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
JAMaddict 2 years ago
We are also told to give as our hearts feel we should give- yet LD$ DEMANDS a tithe to be worthy. Jesus said he did nothing in secret, yet you aren't allowed to talk about the temple. Paul tells us it is better not to marry but to stay single, yet I can't get to the highest level of the CK unless I marry and have kids.
GOD DOES NOT CONTRADICT HIMSELF, so I *KNOW* I can throw out the BoM and all other "revelations" b/c they go against the Bible.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
The bible contradicts itself. I had several athiests pointing that out to me. So, feel free to join their club to reject the word of God by claiming the BOM to contradict the Bible. I haven't paid a tithing for 9 months and still permitted to go to temple. What goes in the temple is NOT a secret. Just sacred. Just like the temple in the bible. Give me a quote from Paul and I can easily answer it. Give me a reference and a quote. Takes me 5 mins to find everything and explanation.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
God does not contradict Himself.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
"We are told to respect other's weaker beliefs," and you've called me a liar....
Were coffee invented in the bible? Didn't know that. Ok, you win. It's ok to be an alcoholic then. You're right. Oh wait.. they drank wine in that time because water wasn't suitable to consumation in that time? No?
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Water wasn't suitable? So babies drank wine? Everyone drank wine all the time? Nope. Not true. Quit making stuff up.
And the Bible tells us not to get drunk, but there is a difference between getting drunk and drinking. I choose not to drink, personally, but it doesn't make me any more worthy than a friend who has a glass of wine with dinner.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
We do take care of our bodies, this is exactly why we shun caffiene and alcohol. Any problem with that? Yes, athiests gave me a long list of contradictions of the bible. I know they're wrong anyway. Just like I do with your opinions.

Why bother? Then ignore mormons and anti-mormons video. They don't work. They won't pull mormons out of the church, and they won't pull converts in. So, why bother? I am a happy convert and I am loving it. So what right do you have to destroy my sense of peace and happiness?
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Why send missionaries? I believe Mormonism is sending people to hell- I honestly and genuinely do. Would you respect me at all if I sat back and said, "Meh. Who cares?" I wouldn't respect myself! I know that I won't change the minds of many Mormons, but if non-Mormons hear and learn the truth- that's enough for me. You may think it "doesn't work" but it does. I've talked with many who didn't get baptized after learning the truth, or people who did leave the church.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Why didn't ANY of christian churches send missionaries to preach gospel? I never had any religious bodies coming to my door except for Jehovah Witnesses. I would be honoured to have a methodist coming to my door to share the gospel. I am impressed with the fact you've ignored the counsel from Jesus "Do not judge"... you've judged the mormons as they're going to hell. You're taking over Jesus' role.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Are you serious? You are going to claim that only the Mos and the JWs send missionaries? I was a missionary for four years, through YWAM. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of Catholic and Protestant missionary organizations.
Do not judge? Then why do YOU send missionaries? Why does your faith do proxy work if you don't believe you are more right than other faiths? I spread the truth b/c I want to see souls saved, not sent to hell.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
We do proxy work, yes, and it is STILL their (the dead) choice to accept or reject. Better safe than sorry for them. I spread the word too because I want to see souls saved as well. So, shall we agree we are on the same perspective? We both are saving souls but think each other as "wrong"? Here's a challenge. Why don't you ask God himself which christian church is true. I did. I am a convert. I simply asked Him to point a correct one.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Have I not pointed out the answer to this many times? I don't believe in a "church" as an establishment. I believe in JESUS, and in Him alone. If you can tell me that I am fully and completely saved and exalted through that faith, then we are talking about the same salvation. If you tell me I have to be baptized, or follow the WoW, or go to the temple to reach my full exaltation, then we are not.
Not to mention: God was NOT a man, we cannot be gods. (You have yet to answer that.)
JAMaddict 2 years ago
We are NOT the same. You use Jesus' name, but you do not know the same Jesus that I do.
You were an atheist convert, so you believe them when they say we believe the same Jesus. I have known Jesus for decades, so I know that the LDS Jesus is not the one I have faith in. I read the BoM, I investigated, I took the lessons. I know your faith inside and out. It is NOTHING like mine.
JAMaddict 2 years ago

JAMaddict 2 years ago
And THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS *have* left Joseph Smith.
Smith created a church that was about Old Testament law that Jesus came, fulfilled and said we are no longer bound to. THAT'S what the atonement is! We are free from the bondage of ritual and works to try to please God. Any good that I do is a RESPONSE to my salvation, already paid in full. You'll accuse me of believing that I can now go kick puppies and kill people and still be saved, but that isn't true. I am changed because I know Him.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
I obey His commands b/c I know Him. But the truth is even if I DID fail Him, I cannot become unsaved. I cannot be snatched from His hand. That's His promise. And I don't have to worry about temple ordinances or levels of heaven. All of that is false and contrary to my beliefs. I don't believe God was ever a man. I don't believe my purpose in life is to become a god. My purpose in life is to glorify the one true God. These are all differences b/n your faith and mine.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
You don't need temple ordinances? Then, let's us build a time machine and warn those people in the temple in OT times that they don't need temple either. If you think LDS is wrong. What are you going to do about it? Did you make any differences? No. We had millions of people like you attacking our faith on DAILY basis. And it had helped us to grow. Thanks for your help.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
The OT was BEFORE Christ, the NT was AFTER Christ. The NT tells us we cannot fulfill the law, so God sent Christ, who is our high priest and our sacrificial lamb. B/c of who He was and what He did, temples are obsolete and not needed.
PLUS, LDS temples are nothing like OT temples. There was ONE Jewish temple at a time. You have over a hundred. They did animal sacrifices. You do not. Rituals were only done on behalf of the living- while most of yours are done for the dead.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
But since you seem to think the OT is binding in all ways: I sure hope you never spoke back to your parents, or you should be stoned! I hope you don't eat shellfish! I hope you don't wear cotton/poly blends! Or interact with any woman having her cycle!
The fact that you don't agree that Christ fulfilled the law and did away with the temple PROVES that you don't believe the same things about Jesus as I do!
JAMaddict 2 years ago
When Christ died on the cross the temple veil was torn in two- showing that there is no longer any separation between us and God, and no need for temples.
Hebrews 7 talks about the old priesthoods, and how they did not fulfill the law or bring righteousness, but how Christ's sacrifice was sufficient for ALL and HE is our high priest now.

And why are you coming here? I had never seen you commenting on other videos with Jehovah Witnesses, or Muslims or any other religion. Why pick Mormons only?
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
Again with throwing stones at me instead of answering the things I challenged you with.
But- I have a heart for this particular issue. Why does that matter? I believe LDS is one of the most deceitful cults out there. Muslims don't claim to be Christians, you do.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Ok. im ready. What scripture are you going to show me? You haven't done anything yet. Most deceiftful cults? Ok. Be happy with that and ignore those people who are killing your families. You're more interested in other's people's religion and not yours.
WayneTheWriter 2 years ago
I have given you 2 dozen scriptures that show differences between LDS beliefs and my beliefs on food, God's nature, etc. I'm not posting it again- they haven't disappeared since I posted them.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Here's something for you to consider:
Go read Hebrews 7-10. It clearly speaks to what the Jewish temple was about. Show me how it is the same as your temples (or even close, or similar.) It's NOT. Your temple is not rooted in the OT, it is rooted in masonry.
Second, even if they were the same, those same chapters also speak to how those temples are not needed now b/c Christ finished all of that work.
So, using the New Testament, please show me where temples are needed or prophesied.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
As a christian, I am appalled with your attitude JAMaddict. Being a christian is about setting an example and serve the needy, not pulling down other people's faith. I've met a mormon and I have no problem with them. I can't stand it when a christian tries to anything to destroy a person's happiness. It is their choice to choose a relgiion, not yours or mine. Please follow Christ and don't walk over the others. Please be respectful. Christ is NOT a subject to argue about.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
Do you know that Mormons believe that you must believe in Joseph Smith, not just Christ, to get to heaven? That you must be married and have kids to reach exaltation? That God was once a man, and that we can be Gods- in fact that is what we are to strive for? They baptize the dead and believe you can become saved after death. Jesus and Satan were brothers. We are saved by grace, after we do all we can to attain our salvation.
If you believe that is in harmony with what Jesus taught, go for it.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Yes it is in harmony of Jesus. You must believe and support the prophet. If you disagree, then screw the prophets in Old Testaments. No you don't need to be married to reach exaltation. You need to be righteous. God once a man, that's new and interesting theory for us to study. Baptism for the dead because they didnt hear the Gospel since the church has been restored in 1830's
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
The NT is very clear that Prophets as the head of believers were an OT thing, and now we have God's Word (the Bible), Jesus' example and the HS. We are no longer subject to prophets. Besides that, JS is *easily* proven as a false prophet, which makes every last stitch of LDS false as well.
I do not fear you or your ridiculous comments.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Ok, tell me where in the NT that says "We don't need any more revelations and we don't need prophets". Give me the evidence that the bible is complete and infallible.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
:The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached" Luke 16:16 is a good start. The gift of prophecy remains, but Jesus came as our final "Prophet" the way LDS sees the office of prophet.
Heb 1:1,2
"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son"
Need more? I can find more...
JAMaddict 2 years ago
I believe the Bible is complete b/c God says it is. And, just like you take on faith that JS was a prophet, I take on faith that I can trust God's word. But, let's turn it around: how do you have any proof that the BoM is true or infallible? At least I can compare the two and reject the BoM b/c it contradicts the Bible.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
God once a man? God will never become a man according to Himself "i am God and not man"
Who ever says that he is Man is of the Devil.
nelsnav 2 years ago
Give me a scripture reference that He actually said "I am God and not man". Give me a scripture evidence that he does NOT exist as a man. Christians would disagree with you since they believe God is also Jesus!

HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
Num 23:19 "God is not a man, that he should lie"
Mal 3:6 "I the LORD do not change" (also James 1:17)
The trinity (Jesus being man and God) still supports the idea that we are not talking about God being man the way you do: b/c LDS God was man who became exalted. Jesus has ALWAYS been prefect and exalted, he did not progress to that state.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Lord do not change. Thats explains why they have the prophets. God had prophets in the past and didnt change the idea of sending prophets.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
That's what you're gonna go with. God doesn't change- so he has to continue to send prophets? But he was a man and is now a God- so he changes that way?
Pathetic, terrible arguments. It is all explained, over and over, in the NT about how the law of the OT cannot be fulfilled, so God sent Christ, who is our prophet and our redeemer and our high priesthood holder- to complete all that Mormons busy themselves with day after day. It's already done.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Not theirs.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
There is nothing un Christlike about pointing out false doctrine and heresy.
Frankly, I could care less about your opinion of me. If you don't like what I have to say- don't read it.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
There is something unchristlike pointing out "false doctrines". Pharisee think that Jesus were teaching a false doctrine, but he wasn't. You THINK they're teaching false doctrines, and they think otherwise and thought the same about you. It's unchristlike to DEMEAN the members. It's OKAY to share your thoughts, but no need to be insulting or "holier than thou". Jesus wouldn't be happy if you acts like a prideful pharisee.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
Again: there is nothing unChristlike about pointing out lies that send people to hell. The "Jesus" that they preach is an emasculated, bastardized Jesus that looks little to nothing like the NT Jesus. Their doctrines are false and full of lies and heresy. I do not have to sit by and ignore that, and I won't do so.
I think Jesus is much more pissed off at a church that is leading His kids to hell, but thanks for your opinion. Now that I've heard it, will you leave me alone?
JAMaddict 2 years ago
I will leave you alone once you've agreed to leave the Mormons alone. They've heard you before, and you're not the first or the last person to rub their face in. So, time up for you to move on to another religion to target. Tell me what so different about their Jesus? It's exactly the same as yours except for the visit in Americas. If it is a different Jesus, then he might as well be born in Africa.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
Whoever believe in Him shall NOT be perished but have everlasting life. They believe in Jesus, and so are you. NEITHER of you will be perished. So, why are you complaining? "Different Jesus" were an invention of anti-mormons. It's a shame you didn't even visit the church for a long time to discover many things.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
How would you know when or if I visited a church?
I don't you. First you scream at me to stop bashing Mormons, now you want me to list all the differences b/n their Jesus and mine? You're not even Mormon, why do you care?
Besides the fact that he is NOT the spirit brother of satan, as they claim, I also believe that he is THE ONLY thing needed for salvation. mormons do not. They believe you MUST (MUST) believe in Joseph Smith and LDS to reach exaltation and become a god.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
I don't believe any of it. They also preach a thousand different rules (coffee, underwear, handshakes, etc) that you must do to be worth of God- Jesus said all religious stuff like that was false and he yelled at the leaders who put those types of rules on people.
I have no deisre to argue with you. Why do you care what I think, anyway? Are you the internet police?
JAMaddict 2 years ago
There's nothing wrong with believing the prophets. You MUST believe in Noah or you will be drowned. What underwear? Do you mean garments like in the bible? handshakes? Do you mean tokens? Why did you replaces the proper names with your own alternative? They don't call it "underwear" or "handshakes". You did.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
If you're not mormon, why do you care? Show me garments in the NT. Show me signs and tokens.
Actually- don't bother. I don't give a crap about you or your opinions, and can't be bothered to defend myself to you.
LDS is a cult built on lies and deceit.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
You have no desire to argue? Then leave them alone. I am teaching you what it is like to be a mormon and I am a your "christian basher". I bet you're pissed off now. Now you know how they feel.
HotAmericanGurl 2 years ago
THIS IS AN ANTI-MORMON VIDEO. I commented on it. It's not like I go around cornering Mormons and abusing them.
Pissed off? Nope, because I don't let people on the internet have that much of an effect on me. Annoyed b/c you're full of 5hit? You bet.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
HotAmericanGurl do have a point. I am not a mormon either and I have no right or place to criticise or harass them. Let them worship in peace.
blockedful1 2 years ago
No right to criticize? Really? I don't know what country you live in, but in the US I have the right to criticize anyone I want.
And "let them worship in peace?" Umm... remember that when they baptize your dead relatives into the LDS church. Or when the missionaries tell you you can't get to the highest degree of heaven unless you become like them.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
@JAMaddict: not to mention how the Mormons distrurb my peace by going door to door and trying to convince people to join their church. Thankfully their baptism numbers are down about 100,000 a year since the rise of the internet.
Kaileo1 2 years ago
Disturb your peace? Isn't that a bit selfish? They had travelled miles from their home and sacrificed their time and money to share the news to you and this is your attitude? What's wrong with welcoming them in for a quick chat and that's all. I did it a few times and made new friends. They're a great people to mingle with. They will respect you and treat you with loyality even you're NOT a mormon. I am not a mormon and I had my lawn mowed by them.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: geee, guess what, blockedful1? I USED TO BE a Mormon, and I was on a Mormon mission to Portugal where I did JUST THAT. I hated it, the people on whose doors I knocked hated it, and I now hate it too. I'll be friendly to the boys, especially if they're cute, and if they want to discuss the problems with Mormonism, or even just to visit in a religious, relaxed & polite way, that's fine. but yeah, it does disturb my peace when I have a kid who wants to thrust his mythology on me.
Kaileo1 2 years ago
It's interesting to hear how people hate God. I'm sure you know now how Noah felt when he warned others of the flood. You know how Jesus felt when his own people rejected him. I would invite the misisonaries in for a quick chat and food. They may not convert me and I have no plans to covert them either. Nothing wrong with having a civil chat.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: you're not paying attention. I never said I hated God, don't be silly. And I believe I just did describe having a civil chat with them, so your comment really makes no sense.
Kaileo1 2 years ago
@Kaileo1 If you don't hate them, then don't bring up anything negative or faults about them or their religion. Say something pro-mormonism if you don't hate them. I am not saying you need to believe or agree with them, only just point out the good they do for the world. That's all.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: that's a ridiculous answer. I disagree with an organization's practices, yet I shouldn't say anything that criticizes what they do? that's like saying I shouldn't criticize a political party! ridiculous!
Kaileo1 2 years ago
@Kaileo1 I don't agree with it. What do I do? Say nothing and be nice. That's all. I don't waste my time going on and on and on and on about mormons. The missionaries and I talk about anything and everything. It's a human thing to do. Talking about mormonism 24/7 is a sad thing, worse if you're not a mormon.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: are you intentionally being obtuse or did you not read my last message?
Kaileo1 2 years ago
@Kaileo1 Well, anyone who are willing to disagree with the prophet or refuse to listen is against God.
That's what I am implying. If someone listened and agreed with some of comments he said, then that person is agreeable with God but not with LDS. I mean anti-mormons claim EVERYTHING the LDS has said is a lie. "Jesus love you" is a lie according to antis. That why I am sick of them.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: now you are lying about what I said. I NEVER said that I disagree with EVERYTHING. And it seems you really are a member-- I'm not suprised at that. Lying for the Lord was common when I was a member.
Against God? Never. And I don't believe God has a religion, God is bigger than that.
Against false religions? I'm happy for any good they do, but I have every right to challenge them on their beliefs.
Kaileo1 2 years ago
@Kaileo1 I am not a member. Since you were a member, then why did you lie about "lying of the lord"? I don't recall any doctrines or practice when I visited their wards. You have every right to challenge them? Then I have every right to challenge you and you didn't like it one bit.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@Kaileo1 God does not have a religion? Can you tell me where in the bible said that? Unless your God doesn't have a bible.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: if God doesn't have a religion, then why would God have a Bible? C'mon.
Like it or not, I have NO problem being challenged. I DEFEND myself. And I did not lie... Mormons DO lie for the Lord. You simply wouldn't hear that discussed in church meetings, that's all.
Not all conflict makes you bitter. Conflict can also make you STRONGER.
Kaileo1 2 years ago
Ok then. Tell me about your beliefs. I will gladly challenge you. Now. which bible do you believe? What's your doctrines? Commandments? The whole stuff. Forget mormonism. Tell me about yours instead.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: you're not paying attention, and it's getting tedious.
I do not believe that God has a religion. in case you didn't know, people who believe this are generally called agnostic.
I have no religion. I have no doctrines or commandments that are rooted in religion or any belief system. there is nothing to discuss.
fin.

@Kaileo1 Then what God's purpose on Earth then? There is a doctrine. You've said "God doesn't need a religion" and that's a doctrine. Ironic.

@blockedful1: I have no need to know what God's purpose is. And I'll point out that a lack of belief is NOT a doctrine.
I think this little conversation has reached an end. Thanks for the discussion, and have a happy life.
Kaileo1 2 years ago
@Kaileo1 "Reached an end". Let's me translate that, you're not willing to defend your religion or beliefs. You wanted to walk out with dignity attached and then carry on attacking other religion. You did say you have no problems with being challenged, I've started and you wanted to end it so quickly. So, I guess you've nothing to support your stand.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: your translator is broken. you can assume all you like, and make up any fake reason you wish. But it's still a fake reason.
Since I have no beliefs or doctrine about God, there is nothing to discuss. What part of "no beliefs" don't you understand? Are you really that obtuse?
I was trying to be nice before, but the reality is that I find your questions tedious and boring, and I have moved on to other subjects that interest me more than a stranger on the internet.
divinehumanism 2 years ago
@divinehumanism I understand "no belief" but that doesn't match to your belief of "higher God". If no belief, then there must be no God. Simple as that. You were trying to be nice? Then can you explain why you were being nasty and sarcastic to the mormon? And why did you pick Mormons only? I had never EVER seen any comments from you towards to other religion. Just Mormons only. They're your favourite targets. Try making fun of a muslim and live.
blockedful1 2 years ago
@blockedful1: get over it, or get help.
divinehumanism 2 years ago
@divinehumanism I am over it anyway, but anti-mormons are FAR from over. They're totally obsessed with a religion that they are NOT part of it at all. It's like a muslim talking non stop about catholicism and hating it. If you don't like mormons, then fuck off then. Get on with your OWN life. Easy! If you can't then you need to get help.
blockedful1 2 years ago
Some "anti-mormons" have lives that are inextricably linked with the LDS church. They may have family members or inlaws who are members, they may work in businesses with predominantly LDS demographics, or they may live in areas that are dominated by LDS policies. This idea that the church is completely non invasive and that those who are opposed to it can just "move on" is misinformed.
NoAntecessor 1 year ago
@blockedful1, "anti-mormons" are not obsessed with the LDS religion. They are obsessed with helping people to see it from a skeptical view. Heres some things that your church won't tell you. Joe was liquored up and shot and killed 2 people while trying to escape his "martyr" in Carthage jail. Joe had over 30 wives (some as young as 14) and kept it a secret even from his followers. I know the truth hurts, but the truth is the truth. You know a very censored version of Joseph Smith.
sneedledout 1 year ago
@sneedledout OK, well, how about what YOU are censoring? I notice you put "martyr" in quotes, but you don't mention that the two people he shot were armed mobsters attacking the jail, and Joseph fired those shots through a door the prisoners were trying to hold CLOSED. You also phrase it to make it sound like he was trying to escape the jail, when in fact he was defending himself from anti-mormons who murdered him. It's OK, I'm sure they were just trying to help everyone see things skeptically.
ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE 1 year ago
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE, Well what Im saying is he didn't go like a lamb to the slaughter. He thought his nauvoo legion would come to his rescue, which didn't happen. Do you even know why there was a mob after him? Its not because they just somehow hated mormons, Its because Joe Smith declared martial law and had his legion burn down the Nauvoo Printing Press that was going to put out an article about his polygamy. I would like to have a rational conversation without hatred. Are you down?
sneedledout 1 year ago
@sneedledout I think I'm going to pass, but thank you for your civil offer. You've already shown that even though you KNOW all the facts, you'll only admit the ones that support your case. Under those circumstances, I don't know if I could keep my temper.
Incedentally, know that I don't hate you. I very much hate what you and the other anti-mormons are trying to do to my faith, and I especially hate the tactic you use to do it.
ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE 1 year ago
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE Just like your church only tells you the facts that support their point. Everything I said in the last comment is documented in YOUR own church history. I may be only providing the facts that support my point, but that doesn't mean they are false. I know it may sound crazy because you probably "know" the church is true, but definitely look at some independent and unbiased articles about it (that means not a mormon, or anti-mormon website). Truth is a good tactic.
sneedledout 1 year ago
@sneedledout I think we may have different ideas of what "truth" is... mine is unbiased fact. And what you present is not either. 1. Joseph was not "liquored up," and it is not sure who killed the two mobsters in any case. 2. The Nauvoo Expositor had ALREADY printed an article about Joseph's polygamy. 3. They did not "burn down" the printing house; they did destroy the type and the press, but they did it outside the building with hammers 4. Joseph prophesied his death; he didn't expect rescue.
ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE 1 year ago
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE Actually am i not trying to pick a fight ..but since the press was destroyed under josephs orders ..then joseph broke the law and was subject to arrest ..Do you deny this ?
deweyandrewcothran 11 months ago
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE Joseph did send a message to his General Dunham saying "Get me the hell out of here now!" But Dunham ignored it. Odd. I think it's odd the jail had no lock on the door. People could come and go as they please so much so 2 guns some wine and probably a wife or two history has forgotten...anyhow, Everyone inside the jail was a Freemason. And everyone Outside the jail was a Freemason. The Gov, sheriff, deputy, jailer, etc. And J.S. last words were FM too, "My Lord and My God.."

@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE He also "prophesied" that Christ would come again during his lifetime.
jeanniem76 8 months ago
@jeanniem76 Yes, you obviously know more about my religion than I do. That couldn't possibly come from something as public as Doctrine and Covenants 130, and of course, you wouldn't DARE twist his words in front of God and everyone, so I'm forced to assume that you're being objective, and Joseph Smith was truly a false prophet. Never mind all the valid prophecies, and never mind that Joseph Smith admitted himself that he didn't understand that revelation, IN THE REVELATION.
ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE 8 months ago
@ANAMEHASNOTBEENTAKE Let's make a deal. You list the true prophecies and I will be glad to list the false ones.
GmaM11 7 months ago
@sneedledout That's how I discovered the truth. I researched Journal of Discourses, History of the Church, Mormon Doctrine. Once that had me convinced I got into lack of archaeological evidence, dna research, Egyptology, linguistics, and occult symbolism...its disturbing when you've been LDS your whole life and discover these things. More than anything, but reading the Bible= the true word of God, it was obvious.
jeanniem76 8 months ago
@jeanniem76 I am glad to hear that you have left the mormon church based on reason and evidence as opposed to blind faith. However, If you are swapping the Book of Mormon with the Bible now, you are still just trading one superstition for another

This is not an anti-mormon video. It's healthy to find souls and bring them to Christ. It doesn't matter which faith you belong, it important to concentrate your own salvation and be an example. Preaching or making any comments will never work. In fact, anti-mormons are LDS secret weapon of their growth.
blockedful1 2 years ago
Actually- it IS an anti-mormon video. It's posted here to show how deceitful, manipulative and predatory the bottom-feeders can be in seeking out hurting, impressionable people.
And if this is the secret weapon, y'all should be thanking me for furthering your cause.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
I am not a mormon. So, I don't need to thank you for furthering their causes. I can see nothing wrong with this video. Is it wrong to help out who are in need? If someone is suffering, should the mormons say "Screw you?" or bring them to Christ? Besides, being a Christian, I would applause the mormons for being more practical than any christianity I've know of. Tell me, did you bring any souls to Christ lately?
blockedful1 2 years ago
No, b/c that's not my job. That's GOD'S job.
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Why did you have to block people? Why are you ashamed of your religion? They're not brainwashing cult. You're brainwashed to assume everyone outside your religion is a failure. Mormons ARE good people. I've caught them feeding the homeless other day. Did you know I used to be homeless until they had helped me out? No, they didn't even ask me if I wanted to join!
blockedful1 2 years ago
So, while I will not answer you any more, consider this: if mormons were the only kind, generous people out to help others, why is the entire world coming together to help Haiti? Is it POSSIBLE that people can be good outside of Mo-dom? Just maybe?!
JAMaddict 2 years ago
Simple answer. They do. They don't brag about it. Heard of Humanitarian Aid? Also, how can you spot a mormon in haiti helping out? They're people and they looks like you. Yes, they do help out in every possible way. Why are you not helping them? You're sitting here posting comments to mormons and did nothing for Haitians.
