Free market healthcare is the best. Following profit induces companies to save, invest and expand to maintain high efficacy for the American people: the less involved government is the more will companies' growth outpace concomitant growth in customer numbers.
Without profit you have the 'tragedy of the commons' and resource is squandered as govt imposes per annum 100% spending thus preventing capital accumulation and managed investment because savings patterns are literally FORCED!
We will get health reform and nobody will like it. It's just a ruse to control our lives and make it even more difficult to live our lives. Does anyone really think that the creeps that bring us bad water, food and air actually want us to have real health care? They hate us. Useless eaters and all that.
Her confidence in regulation does not take the issue of selective enforcement into account, just because a piece of legislation is put in place doesn't mean it will be properly enforced and the U.S. has a bad history of that.
Sorry, I don't want Boenhercare which is no healthcare at all. The corporate pols like Boehner, most of the
Washington republicans and about a quarter of the democrats just want to keep the current system the same unchecked with insurance bureaucrats standing between the patient and their doctors.
you know why? Here is what republicans have done with the gov't. For the past 30 yrs republicans have worked hard to cut funding in education, social services, and infrastructure. They cut it constantly while increasing funding for prisons, and military, and other things that make a quick buck. MEanwhile these things not getting funded get shitty then they run of a election platform stating that "gov't can't do it so we must cut the waste" of course they jsut told you they suck at their job.
Can't disagree with you.....1) Privitization 2) Deregulation 3) Downsizing... And look where we are with this ideology... Oh and my favorite,,,, Let the free markets work by themselves... How can you do that with the corporatacracy controlling everything..
What saddens me the most is that a lot of the conservatives and libertarians can't see that its their ideology at work right now!! They think the dems and liberals are to blame for the problems we have today. When a lot of these problems started with Nixon, and then REagan's supply side economics(which whenever you are in an econ class at OU the first day the professor takes 10 minutes out of the class's time to prove it wrong XD )
Medicaid and medicare are not what libertarians want. And any subsidization brings up price. Look at medical institutions not governed by them. Lasik surgery continues to get cheaper and safer, as does plastic surgery. Heck, even the Vet can treat your pets better than you get treated in the hospitals. Most procedures pets have to go through you can easily afford.
None of those are socialized. And strangely no one is complaining about them.

errrrrrrrrr..........., I liked the "doctors for america" lady 10x more in the first interview. GET RID OF THE INSURANCE COMPANIES NOW! we don't need them!!
The real reason the public option is being so vilified is because it would once and for all put proof to the lie that Govt can't do as good a job as private industry. At the very least it would severely cut into the insurance industry's usurious profit margins----can't have that now, can we.
@eredy The costs have already been talked about, there is no need to rehash them. The CBO and economists (like Paul Krugman) already estimate that by aggressively pursuing healthcare reform (such as a public option or single-payer) that costs will decrease over a decade.
@dtmbcorp Yes because the drop out rate before public schools was so much better!
No one's going to claim Medicare/Medicaid are perfect but everyone I've ever talked to who has them prefers them over privately owned insurance (and they sure as heck beat having NO insurance).
Are there hurdles? Of course. I too have hurdles with my private insurance.
So in my estimation the only matters that get fucked up are the profit margins of the insurance companies who want to make a buck off the sick.
On the other hand, regardless of how useful a service medicare and its variants provide, they are completely bankrupt an unsustainable. What happens when private company goes bankrupt? They die and are replaced. The government fucks up and we just throw more and more money in the hole.
its about control they could make it better but u must want a 5 person panel to ok if you see a doc or think its ok for them to come to ur house and say if your taking care of your kids if u have kids, these ladies don't know or haven't read these parts of the bill or they wouldn't want it .sounds like u haven't either
oh just like the more oil wells we drill will they hold the price and all these people who think they know about gov health care look it up people the inc .comps are telling congress what to put in the bill it will go down just like ur phone bill did or cable did it wont its smoke and mirrors they will charge what they want this is about power anyway they can get both sides dont give a shit about us
ya and u never read the parts where they can cum in ur house and see how u care of ur kids if they dont like it with this bill they can get cps no reason and get them if u have kids and the wait to c a doc threw a 5 person panel can take 5 months to a yr u haven't read that part of the bill have u . nothing is 4 free
@eredy Sarah Palin, is that you with your Death Panels?
Seriously, gimme a break. So much paranoia and hysterics.
Right now there are real death panels making life & death decisions for people who are in desperate need of health insurance. They are being denied because of the greed of the Health Insurance agencies. It's wrong and it must be stopped.
i have an interesting thought to share with everyone. do you guys think that it is possible that obama is trying to do what's best for the american people without hurting himself politically or hurt his future career after the presidency. maybe the best way to get this health reform passed is to pass a very expensive bill which another president will have to revise in the future to make it more efficient but just like Medicare no one can dare to cancel it.
lool calm down bud.. obviously he's just another sell out politician, i thought we're already past that if we all listen to therealsnews regularly lol i was having some deeper thoughts than the obvious... i guess you're still dealing with the shock of how messed up our political system is
well just because they don't ask the questions you want them to ask, that doesn't mean that they don't do a great job covering most of the important stories that impact our daily life. they're a small group as you can see. the majority of time it is only paul doing the interviews. i have no doubt they will expand and cover more issues when their resources are sufficient . but they do a better job than all of the main stream media channels combined i believe.

And if they don't switch, like the republican think they hate government run .. well they'd be right and not much wasted beside removing the age limit to join medicare .. easy enough no?
even if you are against, you can't complain.. people would vindicate you just fine..
And if insurer get hurt because people switch to medicare massively, too bad, they only got themselves to blame, it would be because they didn't threat their customer right to start with.
