all those foods are nice. I have a lot of different cultural backgrounds. and i tell you, they are all nice, and better than the pixzza i eat here. Actually, our pizza is better; it has no sour taste
(DROOLING) ALL MY GOOD GOOD GOOD LIBERICAN FOOD..My favorites are the FuFu and Soup, Cassava leaf n rice, Orka n rice sometimes i eat it wit fufu, palava sauce n rice also eat it wit fufu, tubughee wit lots of seafood....dis video made me hungry... nw i am about to go downstair and fix me a plate of potatoe greens and rice
my parents had lots of Liberian friends. I grew up eating all these foods. My 2 favorites are fufu and soup and palm butter with rice. The hotter the better! I realize now, when I used to eat more african food I hardly ever got sick(maybye all the pepper). I'm so tired of plain american food...this video has inspired me to learn how to cook some of the dishes I used to eat when I was younger. Thank you for posting!!!!!
All of it looks good!!!!!! I am going to visit an African Restaurant in Philly and just order some of everything, because I am so very tired of eating the same foods. Thanks for the vid.
@ :23 sec...yep... That' what she cooked. I didn't like the whole mashed potato looking thing. But that Palm Buttter and the Fufu dish? The Cassave soup, too? Oh, yes... I used to beg her to cook it. Why is my mouth watering? LOL
OMG...my ex-roommate was Liberian and used to make the most delicious foods in creation. I was too lazy to get in there and learn from her, though she was willing to show me...I regret it. I used to tell her to open up a store...if more Liberians or Africans did that - you guys would make a killing in the US.
how much for cooking lessons. I will pay you......seriously. i love afican food so much, especially jollof, and having been trying to learn for so long. if you interested in giving a lesson, write back. Thanks.
Wow, this is the same as sierra leonian food. but then again, u guys are neighbors so...great stuff anyday anytime. Im nigerian and when i was offered cassava leaf for the first time i was kinda scared but when i tried it, wow heaven! Now i'm hooked lol.
Thank you for the nice video. The food looks delicious, hope to try it sometime. Enjoyed seeing some of the churches their. God bless you and Liberia.
Their foods is kind of like ours in Jamaica in terms of the Gumbo style and PLENTY OF RICE. We LOVE rice in Jamaica lol. It looks good though. I have dated a Liberian (and a Sierra Leonean guy) so I have tasted some of the foods my favorite is Cassava Leaves, although some girls cook it too spicy even for my taste.
I have never tried any of these foods. The soup is so full of meat, I have never seen such a meaty soup, but no veggies. Would have liked to see some of the native fruits.
@taleeni They do include veggies in their soup however it is kind of like a west African tradition to pretty much be more meaty, when there are veggies 9 X of 10 its kind of like used for thickness so when you actually drink the soup you are consuming veggies, depends like if okra is in it, its pretty much mashed out. I understand you though. Where I am from in the Caribbean there's a lot of meat and in my opinion TOO much veggies but to each his own, i think you would like it (Liberian food).
Talk about bait and switch. The video starts out with good food, then moves on to how missionaries are harming Liberia. I'm sure glad I didn't send this video to my friends.
@blk24ga actually I APPRECIATE you video in fact I am going to favorite it. You know what it says to me? Liberia is rich with culture, good food and resources that anyone can enjoy but its potential is being disrupted and ppl are deprived of realizing its beauty. I wish ppl would pay attention before complaining.
LOL. i feel where you are coming from honestly. It always seems as if they bring something to our countries but ALWAYS at a PRICE. there is always an alternative motive to their "charity". either stealing of the natural resources or spreading of the empirialistic values of christianity or westernism. nothing in this world is done out of pure love!
All of this is absolutely beatiful. I can't wait to go there one day.
