Antennas are nothing more than wire and math. Stick a peice of metal cut to a specific wavelength into the air, use the correct impedance of conductor, and you got an antenna. I have resonated wire, roof gutters, hammers, and rifle barrels. anything will work.
@cadmiumblue i had to change my tv settings from cable to antenna..i wasnt getting anything at all then i switched the tuner mode to antenna and scanned for some channels and got a few...hope this helps!
@TaufiqSafdar buy coax cable. cut one side off. strip to reveal bare copper wire (should be kinda thick, almost like a coathanger). plug one end into the tv, and touch the other stripped side to anything metal. a pan, a paperclip, anything really :D
@DerrvilleProductions it's really simple. take scissor, cut off connector. then strip the jacket (outermost layer), then the copper insulation, then the plastic insulation, and then you will have your exposed, bare copper wire.
PS: sorry for the late reply, youtube wouldn't let me comment for a while :\
@thursdavy yup :) just cut the connector off, then strip till you have about an inch of that single thick copper wire and tape/attach to pan with good contact :)
Where do I put the cables on the back of TV? What source do I choose from the TV menu? I'm trying Antenna from years ago, I get nothing. No channels.

I tried this, it didn't work. I think it doesn't work for people in fringe areas, like I am. Oh well.

@TaufiqSafdar :) The larger your metal is, and the higher it's placed (roof) the more channels you will get.

So I'm assuming strip the wire to get to the middle center copper wire, then attach to pan?
