I'm 14 and am starting to train my 16 week old, it been so hard to do in the house because of my wrestling season never being home. But he has the idea just doesn't want to bring it right to me he goes and chews, tips? Much appreciated
with my golden i just have a treat in my hand and let her know that i have it, throw the toy, and then when she brings it back to you shell drop it and not chew it cus she wants the treat
Labrador retrievers have a born desire of retrieving. it's inherited generation from generation. if they see somethin fall they're gona chase it and get it. at a young age they're usin all their energy to grow so if you give them so many retrieves you just exhaust them and find them not retrieving after that. two or three retrieves a week is good just keep them wanting more because retrieving is a reward to puppies. if you let them break at a young age like that you'll just have to reinforce
i always do it that way with getting the dog loving retreiving but never thought about starting indoors like that. good stuff. agree about not over doing it and finish with the puppy wanting to do more. 5*
