Hmm...I dont know about Vax very much because they dont sell very many over here in the us..

thats what i mean you have a filter you have to clean....EVERY TIME you use it.....the whole point TO ME of cyclonic tecnology is that is doesnt loose suction and you dont have to mess around cleaning filters a wot not!......it might as well youse a bag! but like a say good vacuum but unfortunatly rubish fiteration system! (just my opinion)

It's also been sold as Bosch, Siemens and Vax in the US...

It could have been an issue that was later rectified by vax. Or indeed, they could have just had a dodgy machine. That is one of the things I HATE about bagless vacuums - having to bang out the filters everytime you use them (with the exception of Dyson but you still get covered in dust when you empty it)

My friend had one of these for a few years and had nothing but trouble with it constantly over-heating and the filter clogging. I think it was the older version though. She replaced it recently with a DC07 origin.

Very nice Jack... We were thinking about getting this model about 4 years ago... We ended up getting a Vax multifunction... It was the worst thing ever. Destroyed itself by sucking water through the motor and Vax refused to even have it assessed under warranty because "We abused it"
