I had two of these once and they tasted horrible, it was like drinking liquid saurkraut and peas. It was warm though so Im thinking that was the cause but im practically a beer rookie so i dont know.
@GlockNinja yeah i dont like them both, i dont understand how guiness is so 'amazing' i perfur the cheap american beer. however when i made black and tans with them they were actually enjoyable
i skimmed through the title and read Beer Review of Blue Ribbon, and got excited cuz its my 2nd fave beer after Heineken. Anyway I liked your video, might as well try Blue Moon one day....
Hey there Buddy, haven't spoke in a while hope all is well? try a lovely little 'light ale' from UK called Newcastle Brown Ale. I believe Clint Eastwood gets it imported?? ( probably bullshit PR but you never know? )
There is a great documentary on Netflix called "Beer Wars" it is really a great. Blue Moon is basically a Domestic beer and a shut one at that. I do look forward to a review of a real beer from you :)
@Chad9976 Yes, I know. I was just kidding when I said it was from Belgium. As you can see I did mention the entire title of the beer as Belgium "Style" Wheat Ale. And yes, I knew Coors made it. Thats the price you pay without a script. You leave things out, you mention one thing as a joke and it comes out like fact and then you forget to correct it as you talk ad lib. oh well.....the essence of the review was to just say "I like this beer". :-)
I really like Blue Moon a lot and drink it fairly often but lately I've been drinking Sam Adams Latitude 48 IPA and Anchor Steam which is one my favorite beers.
I just can't see drinking a beer from one of those large scale breweries unless your only reason for drinking is getting buzz and no concerns or real appreciation for taste.
Saying Bud or Miller is good beer is like saying Mc Donald's is 5 star restaurant.
@shystieworld you are right. After drinking the finer micro brewed beers, you do get spoiled. But I like Blue Moon. I don't get tired of drinking it and it gives me a clean buzz without getting me sick. And the taste is good to me.
@GlockNinja I got into drinking MicroBrews around 10 years ago with my brother in-law and cousin but I wouldn't call Blue Moon or even Sam Adams one since Blue is made by Coors and Sam Adams is made on fairly large scale now and is really a Craft Brewery. Sam Adams is the largest US Brewery now. lol
PS: I wish they sold Yuengling here in Ohio. I have to hope one my friends gets a case and want to share some with me. ha-ha
This is a trip . xD But, yeah, Blue Moon's pretty alright. Doesn't need a lemon, though. It's not a woman's beer either. It's a European's beer. And they got the good shit. I see most people drinking at the bars -- drinkin' piss and Miller Lite; Genny Creamale. Don't let anybody like that tell you you're drinking a woman's beer. And if they're drinking Milwaukee Beast, chances are they're a poor alcoholic.
@AgentMorgan2010 LOL okay. yeah, I stay away from light beers. When I drink, I like to splurge not drink like I'm on a diet. LOL I do drink diet sodas though..
Blue moon is too light for me, it's ok, I like it more than ordinary beer. I like lagers the best. My favorite drink is Samuel Adams Boston Lager. I've always liked the darker tastes. Lagers, rum and whiskey for me. I can with stand vodka mixes though. I'm pretty straight edge right now though.
@ViciousDave4Life Yeah...its not a harsh or strong tasting beer. But it is 5.4% alcohol by volume and it will get you pretty tanked if you are not careful.
Man, you souldn't drink AT ALL.Shit will RUIN your life if you get hooked enough. I've been an alcoholic since I was 14. If you can just drink a few and call it a night then that's awesome. I CAN'T stop once I start and gotta finish every drop in sight. Blue Moon is VERY good, though:)
@maldoman23 I was sober for 365 days (a year) and I celebrated a year with a 12 pack of Natty Ice.. Not cool. Now I stay sober for about a month, then I bing for 2-3 days..then I'm sober a month again...Rinse, repeat...lol
@ohgod247 thats actually pretty good..not bad man..way better than every day...alot of my drinking is because i'm lonely and depressed..but anyways life is what you make it..keep your head up kid! you'll be ok

@bionicblazer1 Fail for the non drinker.

@bremstone too bad a non-drinker is better than a drinker and that's a fact you can't dispute.

@bionicblazer1 Ya I don't plan to. :D

@iBrodeoShowdeo well I was just joking when I said it was "All the way from Belgian". Blue Moon taste awesome. Again, I am going by my taste.
GlockNinja 1 year ago
Blue Moon is made by Coors in Colorado - it's not from Belgium. Its just based on a Belgian style.

Not really a drinker myself, but I might give this a try. Apparently this has won awards as well. Hmmm.

@Westsound191 i'm not aware of any awards. But trust me. Next time you are at a bar or restaurant, ask for Blue Moon. I think you will like it.
GlockNinja 1 year ago
@GlockNinja Certainly will. I only got the awards thing off from Wiki so idk..
