I"m looking for products that are good for sealing in moisture but the problem is I dont know what types of products I shouold be looking for. I see that in one video you used a bomade and in this one you used a Carol's Daughter product. What kind of product should I be looking for
It is good that you are showing people to take care of your hair under the wig. I used wigs this winter for protective styling and I really moisturized my hair under the wig. Some people don't realize that you care for your Natural hair under the wig and weaves not just cover it. Great Video!
wow your hair is gorgeous!!! Im a big fan of the natural hair movement but would you ever do a video of you length checking your hair with you straightening it?? I would LOVE to see it :)
Good routine, Im using some of your tips. Thanks for addressing the frizz, I have that problem as well and thought it was me not moisturizing enough. I see that its a part of the process.
yes - braid at the roots for the neatness, then twist the length for the volume and the fullness of the style - I have done this a few times and it works beautifully. I can keep them in much longer, and I take the twists down for a twistout and leave the roots in tact -so when my twistout fizzles i can just finger detangle and retwist without redoing the parts ;) love the video!
Ok so you condition plus oil to take down the twists/braids. Then you comb in the shower to detangle (with more conditioner?). Then you braid your hair, then shampoo and condition it. Then once out you spray on the aloe vera juice with water then seal that with another oil. Is that right? Lol I'm still trying to tweek my routine. :)
... con.t.. May also try gather the hair around the twist while it is wet and twisting around the twist and pinning each twist at the root. my name is Asher, I am a loctician. hope this was helpful.. and thanks for the vids.

Hi... are you co- washing your hair every other day.. did you say.. because if you are this will cause the hair to loosen every time.. maybe try to spray water and then apply the product instead. this will cut down on that disturbing of the hair and causing it to swell and tangle. When curly hair dries it loves to be close so it, the hair will go looking for other curls to curl up to , this is great for locking. so may want to cut back on the co-washing.
I'm glad I got to see that matting. It happens to me too and makes me afraid my hair will loc if I leave in twists too long. I'm curious to see if braiding makes a difference. Keep us posted please.
Thank u so much for these tips and suggestions, I love your hair, it is so thick and long, you take really good care of it, please keep up the good work!
@84neutral The Aloe Vera helps lay the cuticle down, its all in that whole Ph balanced talk . I LOVE the KeraCare leave in. BOMB< that is ph balanced so you don't need the aloe . But I used that stuff up so I have to improvise. Thanks for watching chica. it will get better, once you find something that works , girl, just stick with it. I put my hair through it Im sure trying so much.
My hair does mat at the roots after a while too. What I try to do is at least do them over once somewhere within the 2 week period. If I don't do that I'm in big trouble!
Awww shyt na....we gettinFAST!!! lol Fast girls wear wigs and weave. lmao. And I will be in my long coco micro latch hooks by the end of the month. lmfao!!
I think if you cornrow each section you have those braids in so that it sits against your scalp...it will allow you to keep you hear braided under your wigs longer...your roots are still loose, which still risk the chance of becoming matted...as they did with the twist...you don't have to cornrow your entire head...you can keep it section as in this video and cornrow..then braid or even twist the ends...just a suggestion
@MzJazzy1Me41 I love black and white! If I could do a whole video like that I would, but you may not zoo the whole effect of what the hair looks like :O( Thanks for watching
Love your channel! <3 I decided after watching your video (thanks!) that I will also be in wigs as I participate in the Hydratherma Naturals protective style challenge until December. I am working out a lot lately and its a pain maintaining a style so a cute wig is the way to go! Do you wear the wig consistently for your 6 month period?
@TheSupasweet I don't wear sleek straight wigs, so I don't typically have problems with that. I did purchase a new wig recently that I can show y'all. Its really short, so I think I can demonstrate with that one. Thanks for watching .
@AE my hair is short and i do almost the same prep as you do on my hair before wearing my wigs the only thing i do differently is the flat twist due to my current length. Good video thumbs up!
Oooooo speaking of wig wearing I went on elevate styles site and whoah they have a sale girly! You also are making me want to try that CD hair mimosa too, as well as the Lisa's Hair Elixir, hmmmmm. I'm doing my protective style challenge, and it is a challenge cuz I got that 'hand-in-hair-syndrome' but I'm doing good, third week in!
May I recommend corn-rows or plaiting the sections into one another. It'll reduce the amount of exposed hair surface area, protect more of the hair, and keep your hair flatter for the sake of the wig.
My hair does that too! braids tend to lessen it A LOT. I really do suggest doing the braid because less hair is out at the roots it matts less and the braids do stay neater. It works for me and I feel less prone to doing damage when I braid.
@AFRICANEXPORT Whenever I get the urg to twist... Which I rarely ever do anymore I do a flat twist at the root and two strand twist the ends but thats rare now. I have a video on it if you don't know what I mean but yea... I fell in love with braids and braid outs so thats all I do now you will see a huge improvement in those sticking hairs! Can't wait to see future videos on how much you love braiding!
i dont wear wigs but i notice my hair does the same thing when i keep my twist in over 2 weeks smh.. i thought it was because i had dreads for about 2 years before i did my bc so maybe my hair is pron to knotting?? idk but im goin to try braids as a protective style from here on out... thanks for the video...
Do you shampoo with the braids?
