FAIL! What you don't realize as an atheist is that God strengthened Joseph beyond Joseph's own natural strength which was already great so he could run with the plates. What blinders you have now that the Spirit has left you.
@GohModley Gosh, Does that mean Mormon god failed Joe when he ran and jumped out that window and got hit with truth pellets? Did you know the jail was run by Freemasons? The Gov, Sheriff, deputy, military, etc. and everyone inside the jail was a Freemason too. and the jail had no lock. And 2 guns were smuggled in and wine. Tsk tsk.
@NoLongerFooled I have a reference for 30lbs of gold. In the book, Brigham Young, by M R Werner, 1925, says Joe Sr hefted the plates and estimated them at 30lbs. Now, if 30lbs, and Joe being mid twenty's and 200lbs or so, he could in theory jog a ways, not run. But he also had a limp from a childhood bone surgery.. I just had an epiphany:: Mormonism is Smythology! nice Smythology.
@ImperialPimp The hill is a glacial drumlin. I'm not sure what Joe thought it was... Like all things Mormon, Mormons want to dig up South America and ignore Cumorah. They refuse to dig up the very place where 2 million Nephites were killed using steel swords and shields. They also own the Mountain Meadows Massacre scene. For some reason they hate having that dug into as well......
@BaurakAle7 Maybe he dug dirt delightsumly but that wont get your legs a-moving. He always was a bit of a chub. The descriptions say so. He may have had strength, but, to run like he says you must be a runner. And that sort of thing was rare then. Physically Working out was "weird". You just worked hard. No one swam. No one took showers or baths. It was exceptional to do such on any regular basis. I think Joe may have fibbed. just a little...I think he had his face somewhere soft and downy......
@awolLDSasap The book relationship was an angelic one. An act of faith. To impute monetary gain to this event is to impute there was insincerity in his story. If he were guilty of such here, he would be guilty of other errors.
yah the "gold" plates were a gold magnesium alloy... ha ha ha
The treasures of King Tut were all preserved. I love the story that the angel Moroni had to take the plates to protect them from evil people who might melt them down for personal gain, Well that would be exaclty the kind of thing an evil POS scumbag like Joe Smith would do. So we know the story is just MORmON BS. because if the plates were real Joe would have melted them down & sold them.

@IExposeMormonism LOL, yes!
Much in the same way that Scientology is Hubbardology.

Great video. Interesting too, how the 1841 engraving of the "Mormon Hill" is the exact shape of the Pyramid a la Illuminati & Freemasons...

If my calc. is right, that 80 lb. brick, "in gold" would have been worth 358K in 1989. And Jospeh Smith let the plates of gold magically slip away?
That's a BS story.

The new morg. excuse is, "it was not real gold, it was an alloy that was much lighter". More insanity!
FAIR apologists could turn a crack ho into a Sunday school teacher .

Angel of light bringing another gospel? Magical disappearing plates?
Religious faith without any evidence?
Bingo! The plates never existed. If they were real, ol treasure digger Joe would have been rich.

Josephs DREAMs were written down as reality. He sure did get alot of mileage out of his dreams.

The way the LDS church deters this fact is by making him a brute in the LDS movies. They make him out to be a man with extra ordinary strengths..
