Sehr schöner marsch, spielen wir auch im MV. Aber zu den Nationalitäten wolfi jedes Land hat seine eigenen Traditionen und des halb sollte man diese waren und auch zu diesen Traditionen stehen.

@eptk88 norway has about 4,5-5 million people, wich would mean a maximum of about 1,5-2 million homes ( probably less ) that can be easily covered with a few hydroelectric powerplants. when you have to cover ten times that amount of homes + an industry supporting all those people, you have to choose nuclear. it's clean, it's not dangerous unless you put a peasant as a supervisor ( like the ussr did ) and europe is pretty much safe from natural disasters.

Can someone please help me with a problem.My Father was in the hungarian army during WW2 and he told me that this was his regimental march.If anyone knows what regiment it was it would help me find out his war service.
It might help people's search if you know what kind of regiment he served in (infantry, armour, artillery etc) or if you know anything about his deployments, where he fought. I don't have any info about the Hungarian army, but if someone does they might need that.
Otherwise you'r gonna have to go to the national archive in Hungary and see if there's any records about him. If he served with the army there should be papers about that.
Hungarian army engineers, WW2, eastern front. Radetzky march was the regimental march.
The next thing you can do I scavenge along the internet, maybe someone made a website about the hungarian army/engineers/army in WW2. But that's most likely a site in Hungarian, and being Dutch I won't be of much help there:(
If you could at least find out a list of engineer units in the hungarian army you could work from there and stratch some off as you go along
Here in the Netherlands we have a national archive, where I believe you can also find old service records. And I know at least in Britain there's some people who do this stuff for the British Army, so it should be possible in Hungary too, though I have no idea what the Soviet occupation did in terms of damage to that archive. It might be possible to dig up service records about him, or at least a list of engineer units.

The right translation for the english word "slaughter" as a noun is the german word "Gemetzel" in the meaning of a massacre.

Oh, I read German in school for two years (very hard grammatics), so I´m familiar with the word Schlacht and its meaning since before. What I thought was that German tongue simply referred to battle as slaughter per se, e.g. the Slaughter of Waterloo. Obviously my conclusions were a bit narrow and short-sighted ;)

Can someone please help me with a problem.My Father was in the hungarian army during WW2 and he told me that this was his regimental march.If anyone knows what regiment it was it would help me find out his war service.

It might help people's search if you know what kind of regiment he served in (infantry, armour, artillery etc) or if you know anything about his deployments, where he fought. I don't have any info about the Hungarian army, but if someone does they might need that.
Otherwise you'r gonna have to go to the national archive in Hungary and see if there's any records about him. If he served with the army there should be papers about that.

All I know is that He was in the engineers as a demolition expert,He served on the eastern front.
I am not sure But I believe he joined the army as a young cadet.and ended up holding the rank of S/Sgt

So now we have:
Hungarian army engineers, WW2, eastern front. Radetzky march was the regimental march.
The next thing you can do I scavenge along the internet, maybe someone made a website about the hungarian army/engineers/army in WW2. But that's most likely a site in Hungarian, and being Dutch I won't be of much help there:(
If you could at least find out a list of engineer units in the hungarian army you could work from there and stratch some off as you go along

Here in the Netherlands we have a national archive, where I believe you can also find old service records. And I know at least in Britain there's some people who do this stuff for the British Army, so it should be possible in Hungary too, though I have no idea what the Soviet occupation did in terms of damage to that archive. It might be possible to dig up service records about him, or at least a list of engineer units.

@CRO123able ruhmvoll waren die zeiten als man im deutschen voelkerbund von einer zur anderen grenzen reisen konnte, wo frieden herrschte und wohlstand. wo die voelker im K&K reich zusammengearbeitet haben. an keinen der kriege war was wirklich erfolgreiches.
und die oesterreichsiche armee war nie besonders gut im toeten. ohne den kaufmann Joseph Gottfried Pargfrieder haette radezky auch nichts erreicht.

The German word for battle is very well suited to the circumstances of "battle". If I´m not mistaken, schlacht means slaughter or butchery? (Slakt in Swedish does)

thank you for your comment. The "terminus technicus" and right translation for the english word "battle" is the german word "Schlacht".
Other examples are: Battle of Vienna / Schlacht am Kahlenberg; Battle of Blenheim / Schlacht bei Höchstädt; Battle of Waterloo / Schlacht bei Waterloo.
The right translation for the english word "slaughter" as a noun is the german word "Gemetzel" in the meaning of a massacre.

Oh, I read German in school for two years (very hard grammatics), so I´m familiar with the word Schlacht and its meaning since before. What I thought was that German tongue simply referred to battle as slaughter per se, e.g. the Slaughter of Waterloo. Obviously my conclusions were a bit narrow and short-sighted ;)

I agree with him too. Like I said, my thoughts were a bit short-sighted and narrow-minded. I made the association because a similar word in Swedish (slakt, basically pronounced the same way) means butchery or slaughter, and because Swedish and German have a lot in common - not this time though.
