Brian Kipler is cool , hes an example on how MTG affects all ages and not only the youth . clearly hes much older than some of the kids that you come across in pro tours . not to mention Jane Davies (hope i got her name right)

blood moon makes the treetop a nonbasic land - mountain.
as a mountain, the only thing it has is the ability to tap for R

Treetop Village is a non-basic land. Blood Moon makes all nonbasic lands Mountains.
So Treetop Village counts as a basic Mountain when Blood Moon is in play.
