"Successful? All I see is a paltry handful of small town folk who are pissed that We the People elected a black man to the Presidency. Where was your outrage over deficit spending when Bush was spending trillions on his unwarranted war of vengeance on Iraq? Answer: You werent outraged and you didnt protest the spending..."
"...Instead, you cheered the war, waved your little flags, and pasted we support the troops stickers on the bumpers of you pickup trucks. Case closed."
As you can see, YouTube users challenged him on essentially every point. His hate-filled description doesn't describe me, and it probably doesn't describe you.
A short 20 years ago our national debt reached one trillion dollars. At that time Ronald Reagan said "We do not have a trillion dollar deficit because we don't tax enough, we have a trillion dollar deficit because we spend too much."
You are right we should have been protesting years ago.
First off, the tea parties have nothing to do with black or white or any race based politics. Though, it is preposterous to say this whole economic situation started under Obama. That is totally absurd. Every President from Herbert Hoover forward had a definite hand in the depression/recession that we're going through. Republicans have failed to rollback the big government programs enacted under Democrats and in fact have expanded them. Case dismissed.
Good points. You're absolutely right. Firstly, notice that it's the critics of tea parties who are fixated on race--white this, black that. They're simply projecting their racialism onto tea-party sympathizers and supporters. (And notice how they stereotype us with "pickup truck" references.) Secondly, the problems with America's economy can be blamed on lots of presidents, from Woodrow Wilson to George W. Bush (before that, actually). Republicans and Democrats have messed things up TOGETHER.
I never videotaped the crowd at its peak. There were a lot of supporters there. The crowd was multiracial as well. And I've never seen racism at a tea party event I attended. Never. You're the one who's race-obsessed--white this, white that. Grow up and get over it.
I'm a libertarian, so I find Bush and Obama equally offensive. I'm anti-Bush. Bush was bad. But so what? Obama is bad, too. Sounds like you're the hypocrite. Obama is continuing Bush's big-government policies, his wasteful spending and increasing the national debt, his war on civil liberties and the First Amendment (and drugs), and his warmongering. BUSH AND OBAMA ARE BAD MEN WHO SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ELECTED. Case closed.
Washington has forgotten that our Country is full of Americans and that Bowling Green, Kentucky is full of Patriots!!
Continue to Stand up for our Country, Speak out and fight for our Liberties, Rights and Freedoms!!
God Bless America and God Bless Kentucky !!
