@BamusicTUBE actually Dieter didn't do any in the early 80's.. his version was more like 86 or after from memory. I know this cos I played this one and about 4 other versions after the original kev borich vsn. Tom Emmanuel played one around 1985-ish - I played rhythm & some solo bits on that too. Skunk Baxter played solo bits on one because he couldn't learn the lines, and when i tried to discreetly talk him thru he gave me the guitar [it was the roland synth - which I was using mself] and...

There's another version with me and Garry Beers and Jon Fariss from INXS which we did just before the Richard Clapton Glory Road album. 86 i think. that was my last. My sound on this one was rubbish. I remember the engineer and prod pushed me into it thinking it was more like Rory's, but I thought it sucked & still do.
@BamusicTUBE and not that anyone asked but I think Slash's version is awesome. and for the debate about who played it on Tarot Suite - Mike Batt told me himself that Rory played it. He'd piloted his whole family to sydney on their private ocean going BOAT [with crew] around 83 to record an album. they were crazy times indeed.

It was actually a 30 sec snippet of a piece written by Mike Batt. From an album called The Tarot Suite song titled: Introduction(Journey of a Fool). It is available on itunes. I searched for many years.
The 2MMM version was Kevin Borich on guitar in the original?? I think??. Dieter Kleeman did a version too. And I think it was just titled: Dr Dan. I hope someone can add to this info.
WHAT Triple M don't have any of there 1980's theme based ads? The music is great. But everyone knows that Triple M ruled the airwaves in the 80's. But tiple M won't release there theme music. Do u know why?

the solo is A minor scale at the 12th fret .the high bend the e string at the 15th fret

RoB Duckworth [2mmm jockey ]said he stands up in respect whenever this 0riginal theme was played [ today 30/10/08].
Its the Awsome MMM theme we loved .
2MMM Must play it some more 0ccasionally in the past this theme was better than the Songs that followed its intro.
