  • 6 people are gonna turn into scarecrows and tin men

  • 4:33

  • THUMBS UP FOR BEST SHOW EVA

  • Thanks for posting. I wasn't that interested in Wicked until I started seeing clips from the show. It looks awesome. I hope I get to see it one day.

  • in this one, is Guhlinda played by Kristen Chenowith? I seriously don't like her annoying singing... I prefer Katie Rose Clarke!! She's perfect for the role!

  • Okay one, this video is illegal. I'm surprised you didn't get caught.

And two, when I saw Wicked there was a much bigger and deserved applause than this...

True I didn't see this particular show, but I'm seeing this clip and I'm confused as to why there is such minimal clapping. There performance was great! Also no one laughed at the funny parts...goodness gracious tough crowd...

  • @juicyyyx0x okay one, it's been posted for 3 years. Safe to say no one gives a fuck.

  • I'm dying of amazement

  • Omg

  • Who Plays Galinda here?

  • @BunnySlippersPro Alli Mauzey :) she's amazing

  • @BunnySlippersPro ali muzzey

    i think

  • ozians: we know what goodness is

    me: *cough* *cough*

  • they deserved a bigger clap than that

  • It is against the law to film or record the show in any way

  • Have another drink, my dark eyed beauty...

  • do you have the whole show?

  • Did you see this in NYC?

  • Am I the only one is who is blown away by that last note?! It's not even fair!!

  • such an amazing musical, and this is one of my favourite songs from it.

  • I like how when the bubble moves up and down it goes slightly left and right like a real bubble

  • One of my favorite parts in the whole musical is when Elphaba's mother and the secret lover are dancing. I don't know why but that is just such a smooth scene!!!

  • this was on my birthdayyy(: i <3 wicked

  • Who's Glinda?

  • This song would be perfect if it stopped at 7:18, without the stupid showy ending

  • THUMBS UP FOR BEST MUSICAL EVER!

  • I'm doing a production of this and I'm the secret lover and the wizard and just watching this I relise that these people are actually amazing and wants to make me perform to the best of my ability :P good luck me :L

  • @bear50467 No way, our show theme is the Land of Oz! Do you remember the school colors? Maybe it was us.

  • this song always gives me chills. I can't help it. Last night I was at a band competition, and they had a wizard of oz theme. When they played this.... my goosebumps couldn't contain themselves.

  • 6 People seem to mourn the wicked. Idiots.

  • How is on stage right, high above Ozians ? Chistery ? Morrible ?

  • I just realized after listening to this song a million times that when Glinda sings "when you're wicked you're left only on your own" she's singing about herself. she thinks elphaba, her only real friend, is dead, fiero has left her and now she blames herself. so sad:(

  • @AltosAreBetter1995 That is so perceptive of you, really. I have seen the show countless times like many others and have never seen that; I'm sure there are so many other moments just like this one! Go you!

  • @AltosAreBetter1995 Huh. Never thought of that. I always assumed she was referring to Elphaba, how everyone thought she was evil and what a lonely life she had. ("She died alone...")

  • I cant believe she was cheating on her husband with the Riddler.

  • What does Voldemort have to do with all this?

  • i really like this song

  • is this the tour?

  • @LittleDancingDiva517 I think it is, I saw the exact same production in Perth, AMAZING show, Brilliant set!!!!

  • im wicked ... a wicked good singer

  • I mourn the Wicked. And, honestly, I KNOW Glinda mourns the Wicked.

  • ahh! I saw Wicked about a month ago and I LOVED it!!

  • Oh. and if anyone is wondering if this video is technically iligall the answer is yes.

I have seen this musical twice and i know someone that has seen it like 7 or more times.

  • @nickiejoekevin he must have the money to do so...i don´t. i´m so looking forward to the movie ;-; it´s no longer airing in germany (only till end of august)and i only had the chance to watch it in london last week, once. D: hope they hurry up with that film version. can´t wait.

  • @Lilithly Do you know who the actors will be?

  • @Namibiangirly as far as i know elphaba will be played by idina menzel, but that´s just what i´ve heard^^ i´m not sure, but since she already has experience as an actor ("enchanted"^^) it´s probably true. :) don´t know about the rest. though.

  • @Lilithly I wish they would do one in german with the german actors. They are amazing!

  • @Namibiangirly the musical singers are, but german actors aren´t xD we will have the film dubbed anyway so they will probably use the german singers for that. (that´s what they did with phantom of the opera :))

  • @Lilithly Awesome! Can't wait!!

  • @nickiejoekevin NO ONE MOURNS THOSE WHO STEAL COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL!!!!

  • If this was in Melborn I was there it was on my birthday I was 13 I was sooo happy

  • P.S. We weren't allowed to thake pics or anything. You sneaky little devil. ;)

  • Just saw Wicked. It was... it was...? Evil? Abhorrent? Malicious? Twisted? What is the word I'm looking for... starts with "w"... Warped? Witch-y? Wumbo??? Ah hell, it was good!

  • who the hell is this glinda? has no on commented on that seriously!!!! is not like your asking the poster the qeustion in front of his or her face T__T

  • 6 people mourn the Wicked :P

  • @TheLolabub555 in this case, if you like Elphaba, wouldnt you want to mourn her? lol

  • i went toi see wicked today and omg it was amazing !

  • The green shadow is always a front projection. But in touring productions the black shadow in the end is a projection but in other productions (such as broadway) are actual shadows from behind the stage.

  • I know the green Elphaba silhouette in the begging is a projection from the from but the shadow at the end I think is in non traveling productions a shadow and in traveling productions a projections

  • @MrArtiny

in germany (non travelling) we have a projection

  • If you guys have any ?'s then just message me and I can answer them. I probably know alot more then you guys. I see alot of failed info about this musical on here.

  • is this on Broadway? or the tour?

  • Kristin Chenoweth will always be the eternal and perfect Glinda <3

  • Could Anyone please tell me what the story is with the "giant hat prop" in No one mourns the wicked?

  • @georgiaherdman2009 It's all that's left of the Elphaba who has just melted - we start at the end and jump back to the beginning, but again at the end of the show you hear No One Mourns the Wicked (Reprise), and also again with the hat (albeit a lighting effect)

  • @Cllstnvlnst329 But when do we see the Hat? In this Video? Thanks

  • @georgiaherdman2009 Ohhh right I think I misunderstood your question. In all honestly, that I can not answer with 100% certainty. However, after seeing the Broadway, Chicago, and touring casts live, I noticed that the hat prop /was/ indeed absent from all productions other than the one on Broadway. Not sure why, probably because of the stage set-up required for trapping/removing it mid-scene.

  • @Cllstnvlnst329 ok, so it must be in certain shows. but in 1:00 and 7:15 is that elphie backstage?? sory for all these questions haha :)

  • @georgiaherdman2009 No they are both projections :) x

  • @asswhole239 oh right, haha thanks. do you know about the giant hat then? lol

  • When the bed came out I was like "oh god there gonna sh*g! D:"

  • fake!

  • 1:00 and 7:15 = Elphabas Shadow THAT IS SOOOO COOOOOOl

  • u could have filmed the whole thing lol

  • 6 people are wicked witches

  • fantastic how you managed to get this !! Well done and thanks :) Best song from any musical

  • Alli Mauzey?

  • This is beautifully filmed.

  • I'm going to give everyone some advice.... If you're traveling up to New York and plan to see a broadway show go in late april... the entire broadway community comes together to raise money to fight AIDS...they sell tours to go backstage and also signed posters.. when i saw Phantom they offered the monkey from the show signed by the phantom to the first person to give $1000 but the posters that were signed were all $40... great deal..

  • @TheBlahface Why are we even wasting our time on this "woflves4eva?" She is is merely an uneducated, lying, stupid, worthless little moron. Surely we have better things to do than attempt to enlighten the brainless rabble?

  • @TheBlahface The Wizard in love with her... that is just sick.

  • When I went to see this, the opening notes gave me chills!!!!!! Amazing show :)

  • Woah... I had no idea how different it was in various places. I assumed that Elphaba's mom's husband sank on a trapdoor in every version.

  • @iluvthecompanioncube elphaba's mom's husbad? wouldn't that be her dad od step-dad?

  • @sunaxtemari93 I mean um... Actually, I think I have it all wrong. I thought it was Elphaba's dad (but not the wizard), but now I think it might have been the wizard and Elphaba's mom. Still leaning towards Elphaba's dad, though.

  • I love this play, it's my favorite

  • When I went to see this, I wasn't paying attention to the dragon clock, so when it started with the red eyes and it started moving, I screamed... =.=

  • @MusicTechnoChick even reading this comment, and seeing the opening,im probably going to scream when i see it...:p

  • thumbs up if Alli is amazing!!! :O

also the sound effects like the gears r pretty amazing! :)

  • was this filmed at the Caanon Theatre in Toronto ? :O

  • @StoryMing It appears during the begining of the video showing her melting

  • Aww the dragon didnt do anything when i went D: only his eyes glowed red

  • Moral: Dont accept green liquid from people

  • @jak5000 yes, basically XD, but then wqe woldnt have Elphaba!!!!!!

  • @jak5000 Unless they're wearing sexy green jackets and have beautiful, silky smooth singing voices.

  • This is completely illegal but thanks for taking the chance. I saw the show in NY in March and cannot get enough. Do you have anymore of the show??

  • I've been and i swear you cannot film?

  • 4 ppl dont mourn the wicked but because we knew her, we have been changed for good

  • I MOURN THE WICKED! I DO! :(

  • Who is Glinda in her??? Annaleigh Ashford???

  • @EntertainmentAddams I'm not positive, but I think it was Kristin Chenoweth

  • @CheekyThrill um no...this is definitly not kristen...

  • @markbuell99 oh yeah, duh, I just listened to her talking. Sounds a lot like her when she sings this one does, but not when she talks. My bad!

  • @EntertainmentAddams Alli Mauzey

  • I saw this like 1 or 2 months ago and I was CRYING my eyes out from how amazing it was. I had been wanting to watch this since well....... I dont remember. The whole performance was more the astonishing. I wish i could see it again. :( i am glad I could see this show before I died

  • Its the best song in the show i think! :D

    Best scene: 4:31

  • Its the best song in the show i think! :D

  • Comment removed

  • I had to read the book to understand who the "Lover" was XD I really love this play. :D

  • one of my friends doesnt know what broadway is... so i sent him this :)

  • Also; I love how Glinda is practically a glowing white figure in this recording.

  • I'm seeing it for the 3rd time for my birthday, and I'm bringing my boyfriend who has never seen it. SO. EXCITED. ARAGGBAAAH

    Thanks for the risk! :D

  • After 7:51 its just all shit

  • This is a really good recording! Thanks for risking getting kicked out to get this great video :)

  • who plays gland in this??? shes amazing!

  • I <3 ALLI MAUZEY

  • "GREEN!!!" :D

  • I'm honestly glad to see comments on this have more brain behind them. Youtube video comments sometimes make you want to slap the person commenting. Anyway, I love this scene. Thanks for uploading.

  • is this kristen or a great sound alike?

  • I LOVE this musical <3 I saw it in London last week with Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman as Elphaba and Glinda :) It's sad tho how Glinda has to act happy to the ozians when her best friend just got melted :(

  • @bexluvsbreyers technically she wasnt melted....it was i hoax so she could leave with Fiyero....tho its been like 5 years since i saw it :(

  • @AngelofaDaemon awww hope you get to see it some time soon ;)

  • @AngelofaDaemon 1st - you should really warn people about spoilers. And second: (SPOILER ALERT) even though Elphie wasn't truly melted, and Fiyero wasn't truly dead, Glinda never knows that. She thinks that the love of her life and her best (and only true) friend are dead. Wicked is meant to be seen several times, and to be thought provoking. The line "the wicked die alone"....actually applies more to Glinda than Elphaba, because ultimately, Glinda is the one left truly alone. Food for thought.

  • @Matdredalia crap......never really thought of that.....an yea i wish i could go see it again but one tickets are damn expensive an two no one to go with me lol. an sry to anyone who had their bubble popped by my comment leakage >.< an yea i didnt remember that part of the musical since its been so long. :(

  • @AngelofaDaemon LOL no worries, we all make that flub sometimes. And I haven't even been able to SEE it yet! I got the Soundtrack, looked up a copy of the whole script, and used YouTube videos to get as much of the experience as I could, lol. But I've listened to, watched, and re-read the whole thing more times than I can even count, and each time I do, I feel like I learn a bit more and understand a bit more. Thank Oz for YouTube! <3

  • @Matdredalia hehe oh yea :D tho i have to say i like the musical better than the book......book is depressing :(

  • @AngelofaDaemon That tends to be the general concensus amongst most fans. I honestly haven't met a fan yet who prefers the book over the musical. I think that's because A) sometimes Gregory Maguire gets so caught up in the message he's attempting to convey that he actually forgets he's writing fiction, and lets the characters and story become somewhat lifeless. Around the time Elphie heads to to the Vinkus, the book just starts failing. and B) The musical makes the characters come to (cont...)

  • @AngelofaDaemon ..(cont from previous comment) come to life in a way that the book just never really does. Maguire is great at making characters unlikable and sinister, but BAD at making pleasing characters. Many times, it makes no sense why Elphie likes Fiyero, is friends with Glinda, etc. Maguire had a great story idea, but needs help bringing his characters to life. The musical, however, not only brings them to life, but it makes them feel like cherished, lifelong friends that you love.

  • Where was this?!

  • where did u record this at the fox cities Pac

  • the flying monkey at :27 reminded me of mission impossible. :]

  • elphaba's shadow behind everyone at the end has got to be one of the coolest things ever! it gave me chills!!

  • is Elphaba's Father here Don Richard?

  • for about the thousanth time, its a MUSICAL not a play

  • who's the glinda?

  • reading parts of the argument and sorry the olny person who knows EVERYTHING about this play is the one who wrote it.

  • @wolves4eva I hope this has "changed you for the better". JSYK i was quoting the musical Wicked ;)

  • @Woflves4eva wooow you had to get your brother in this? Thats funny cuz it looks like he doesnt know hom to spell correctly eitherr. & you meeting kristen & idena is a complete LIE. Bulllshiiit. But honestly i think the funniest thing ive seen all day is your youtube username. You cant even spell wolves right . #getalife .

  • Who the hell is this @wolves4eva chick? Idk what version of this play YOU were "in" , but the wizard is most definitly her father. Get your facts straight hun . & the wizard&i is NOT about her loving the wizard. Thats gross. Its about her dreams of fitting in & eVeryone looking up to her instead of looking down on her coming true. Go see the play, sweetheart.

  • lol wolves4eva you are making such a fool of yourself it's not even funny. They say straight up "She was from both worlds"

  • @mifisafaefel911 im not her im her bro so shut up cuz i dont fukin care! i hope u biches fukin die u goddam whores!

  • one of my fave parts! it was such a cool play! XDXDXDXDXD :D

  • i'm sorry! i didn't mean to spoil it, i was honestly just trying to explain to someone who asked

  • This makes me cry :'( poor Elphaba.

  • no one beats the original cast

  • @mikeonearth doesn't matter to me im seeing it again in january 2011 so i'll know what it is

  • Awesome high note at the very end :)

  • AHHH who is playing G(a)linda!!! i CANT TELL!!!

  • @AetherPhantasm It's Alli Mauzey I think

  • Hey! I never realized that Elphaba's shadow appears behind them all, towards the end of No One Mourns... sorry, I'm not as thoroughly familiar with this play as I might be. And I'm usually busy trying to pay attention to G(a)linda at that point.

  • @StoryMing haha yay GLINDA!

  • @StoryMing she also appears at the beginning at 1:06

  • @StoryMing its kinda creepy

  • @StoryMing I noticed it about the 2nd time i saw the show! I flipped out when i realized it!

  • was the guy who was talking about the green elixer turtle heart?

  • @lilpunkin226 no that was the wizard

  • @lilpunkin226 elphaba's mom had an affair with that guy while the governor was away.. we learn later on that it was the wizard, who is elphaba's true father

  • @WondersNassiri Wow total SPOILER ALERT lol!

  • @WondersNassiri Delete the spoiler you asshole.

  • @WondersNassiri wat r u talking about? the governor is her true father shes green cuz the GREEN elixer her lover gave her! the wizard is in love with elphaba! thats sick if hes her father! thats just rong get ur facts straight cuz i know everytihng bout this play! so get ur facts straight

  • @woflves4eva uhh...hate to burst your bubble but...the wizard of oz is elpheba's father...hence: "i am a sentimental man who always longed to be a father" and hence the flashback in act 2 of when he comes into the room with the green elixir...and hence the wizard breaks down when he realizes he's HER FATHER! that's the whole point that the wizard is seen as well "wonderful" and elpheba is an outcast and then the twist is that he's her father but she denies him anyways because it's what's right.

  • @ROWANV1 hate to burst ur bubble but the woman (elphabas mother) was pregnat b4 the affair! elphaba is green cuz of the green elixer the lover is a store owner! the wizard is in love with elphaba thats rong if hes her father. i was in a musical theatre production of this play and if u read the script u can see hes in love with her as she says in the wizard and i. use ur useless logic all u want but i know everything about this play. to bad u dont.

  • @woflves4eva Sorry but i am a part of the creative team that designed Wicked the musical. I am looking at a copy of the original script and in it, it says (once the wizard realizes Elphaba had a small green bottle) "The Wizard sinks to his knees, heartbroken, realizing he has had his own daughter 'liquidated'. " Sorry to prove you wrong another point is the whole song "I am a sentimental man, i always longed to be A FATHER". It ties the ENTIRE show together... Don't be an a**hole. Thanks.

  • @whalewashingcrad it was my brother i know the wizard is elphabas true father! im not stupid

  • @ROWANV1 despite the fact that in the "sentimental man" reprise Madame Morrible says (AND I AM QUOTING!) "So, she was YOURS all along..." And In the musical there is no reference or any suggestion whatsoever that Elpheba's mother is pregnant before the affair...useless logic?

  • @ROWANV1 Why did you say that to yourself?

  • @woflves4eva yeaaah... that explains perfectly why he sings "I am a sentimental man who always longed to be a father" as he held on to the elixir reminiscing about the affair with the mother.. in the wizard and I, she sings about how they can be a working pair because she thinks they have similar powers. that also explains why stephen schwartz also says in his own synopsis of the play that the wizard is elphaba's true father... Ps: learn to speak, would ya? grow up, you sound like you're 13

  • @WondersNassiri in the wizard and i she talks bout being IN LOVE with the wizard. im fukin 16 u stupid bich. in act 2 u see the shop owner selling the green elixer to several people. and u sound like u dont know wat the fuk ur talkin bout i own the script from the real play so shut ur god damm mouth u stupid bich

  • @woflves4eva ...wow... it's people like you that give our generation a bad name... your level of ignorance and immaturity is so high, you're an embarrassment to teenagers AND theatre people...
