If you like this song you will love the remix done as a tribute to Lee Tillman who also recorded a version of this song in the 1960s... All These Things Remix Tribute. Lee Tillman was also inducted in the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2010 along with buddy guy, allen toussaint, art neville and louis armstrong just to name a few.
SUCH A LOVELY SONG , TO SLOW DANCE WITH , A GIRL WHO YOU TRUELY LOVED , AND HOPEFULLY , THAT GIRL IS YOURS , SO YOU CAN SAY SHE IS MY GIRL WITH A HAPPY SMILE &YOUR HEART BEATING WITH LOVE
I too like Joe Stampley & the Uniques version better. But it is a great dance song.
The Uniques from just north of Shreveport used to come to Fat City in Kilgore, TX a lot and the dance floor always filled when the Uniques sang this song.
Graduated in1969 from St. Aloysius H.S. which was torn down that year. It is good to see that a great song can stand the test of time. This will always be our song .The memories attached to it bring back all those high school days. Thank you so much. "All These Things".
@ptrainor3103 My Brother in Law was a freshman there in 1969 and graduated from Brother Martin in 1972 after it merged with Cor Jesu.My Godfather graduated from Cor Jesu.
@selfgen Yes I like the Uniques version better too. In fact, I still have that little 45 rpm record...lol!...btw, Bobby Vinton has a great version of this song too, for those of you who actually know who he is.
A great find --- thanks for posting this classic! The song was written by Naomi Neville, an alias for New Orleans songwriter Allen Toussaint.
"All These Things" later became a major hit for the Uniques in both 1966 & 1970. And Aaron Neville made a nice recording of the tune as well in 1969, Then Joe Stampley made an upbeat, #1 country version in 1975.
This is so beautiful!!! TRULY!
