Lie 1 Walt monegan was not doing a good job for Alaska. Lie 2 Wooten was a threat to her family She fired her staff and did not place charges on him tillafter the divorce was filed.

1) Monegan got the job as Public Safety Offiver after being FIRED by Mayor Begich for brutal spending. He got fired by Palin for proposing "George Bush" like spending on building the State Police Funding to an "Iraqi war" like level with Alaska getting set for an Economic crash. Palin had to get rid of him or let him try to bankrupt the already in trouble state. Her call. She offered him another position within the state as alcohol control board chairman.
As a personal note to #1, After he was hired by the Mayor, Palin probably gave him the job because of his relation to the family. He took it too far and acted invinsible because of this relationship and made public comments like "..I have to keep her (Palin) at arms reach...". His outrageous spending request and frequent trips put him at odds with her and after the divorce, his lifeline to his job was gone and out he went. She offered him to stay in another position regardless...
3) As far as The President of France is concerned, I am not familiar with the incident. I can speculate the she is a "regular" person and doent bother with bull crap "Presidential" rhetoric and is a normal person. Refreshing I might add.

As a personal note to #1, After he was hired by the Mayor, Palin probably gave him the job because of his relation to the family. He took it too far and acted invinsible because of this relationship and made public comments like "..I have to keep her (Palin) at arms reach...". Thinking about it with my business background, I never spanked in the public eye and maybe she suscribed to this good principle in business, however when it got real bad towards the end she may have dropped that policy.
I think the whole incident was a learning curve we all go through. NEVER hire family! Its characteristic of her upbringing to support and promote the growth of family members which is misplaced in the public service arena.

Honestly, the internal conflicts brought to bare by the drama filled administration members bringing this all out to the public, only hurt their own state, I recall an interveiw with Palin about her resignation and she stated the internal rifts only created a "lame duck "session for her remaining time in office and she left because it was a waste of Alaska time to just "linger".

4) I don't want to sound too generalized on this one but she mentioned that economic indicators were eyeing the upcoming recession and cutting taxes at that time were a mistake. Alaska's state programs were already under funded in some areas. Revenues were already dropping on tourism and oil industries projections getting shot down in the "eco" battles. Shoring up finance was her new priority. Killing the bridge was one broken promise and had to happen.

Oh yeah, the trickle down effect. Yeah right! Is that why the top 1% have more wealth than the bottom 95% combined? They're just saving it to share later I suppose. The real stimulus should go to the people by ending the federal income tax and let the corporate tax stay the same as that pays for our defense. They could even add a 2% tax on goods to pay off the debt and more people would have more money to spend and still pay taxes. That sounds more fair to me.

You do not stregnthen the weak by weakening the strong. make welfare takers work for it ,make them do the jobs the illegals do now and deport every one of them. What saved the economy was technology and the advent of the Apple computer and then Mac and pc

I have faith in the United States Justice System - we've tried terrorists before (Tim McVeigh for one - he used it as a platform for his beliefs, and people said there might be more attacks because of his trial) and we survived - that has nothing to do with my feelings for the military - seems like some conservatives don't believe in American justice - I say if England, Spain, Germany and the rest of the world can try foreign terrorists in the courts, so can The United States of America.
