  • If you think about it, with no batteries and a life of 12 years, it's like paying $100 a year for a good ass scope.. less than $8 a month!

  • @1LimaUniformLimaZulu

They will refill the tritium if it expires too! My brother sent his in and they did it for free!

  • People who say guns aren't needed are ignorant to how evil people can be. Our forefathers knew the importance of good men owning arms.

  • @gunnarmarine SHUT UP SHUT UP YOU KICK MY DOG

  • @AntBanks2626 sorry what? i guess my experience using the sight in iraq during combat operations doesn't matter or my hundreds of ours using the sight. there is a reason why the marine corps uses the red chevron.

  • I'd like to see a mount for an Aimpoint T-1 paired with an ACOG. It would be a little bulky, but you don't have to worry about bettery life with either. Turn the T-1 on and leave it until you need it. Slap it on a rifle with a Redi-mag and you have a complete package. When are you ever going to have time to put your cute little "tac-vest" on anyway? If you need a rifle for a defensive situation, you need it right now, not in the five minutes it takes the tacticool crown to "suit up".

  • For US Marines and other United States Army is the ACOG Scope free for them? or they need to pay?

  • @legandarykiller1000 what the hell kind of stupid question is that? NOTHING IS FREE. of course they have to pay. the Military signs contracts with these companies for orders. They will put an order in for 10,000 acog scopes but they get them around 100$ a scope, ya feel me?

  • @PowerViolenceForever I'm just a kid I'm learning..

  • Dis anyone notice that the demo of sight variables at the end of the commercial shows a target out to about 50 yards!? If they are supposed to be good for bullet drop at 600 yards why not show how they look with the 5x? Why? Cause they suck at distances of which they are trying to sell. For a grand or so, forgetaboutit! There are tons of better options for the money and the distance.

  • Vs Eotech how do they compare.

  • even if you dont have the money laying around, find it they are worth it.

  • @gunnarmarine UH OH. Wanna try out my green horseshoe reticle? It's AWESOME! Much better than the CHEVRON.

  • ACOG optics cost a lot, sometimes even more than the weapon they are mounted to, but they are worth the price. Great optics with great capability and no batteries. Perfect for combat conditions where you don't want to worry about batteries and need something high quality, robust, and simple. The reticle is not an image that can move around depending on your eye positioning, it is fixed just like a normal scope. Great optics all around.

  • @Mr2ndAmendment Dude I saved forever for my TA33, it was completely worth it, and now I'm saving forever AGAIN for another one lol. This time it's going to be a TA44-SG10 (? I think?). Love my acog. Love. Gotta give a shout-out for my Burris XTR-14 too, that is truly a phenomenal all-around scope. I just wish it was lit via fiber-optic!

  • BROWNELLS IS #1

  • the only reason these cost as much as they do is b/c they have a military contract! They are nice and rugged but fuck 5x for a 600yrd shot ur out of ur damn mind! I would rather go with a regular scope or an eotech or aimpoint.

  • @bobwatters GET AIMPOINT

  • @Shazee083 um well thx for the opinion but i still have been lookin and im not a fan of aimpoint but idk i honestly like my iron sights. if i want anything else then i realy dont know. i have been doin more with pistols recently so its not a big issue fore me now.

  • If all of you are worried about the price, it is a great scope, BUT, there are alternatives. Sig Sauer makes a 3x prismatic that I just bought for $130. Yes, it takes batteries, but also has the normal black reticle, and your choice of red or green illumination. Not a bad price for a $5 battery that can also have a spare stored in the grip of my M4. Who shoots unaided at night anyway? Isn't that a safety hazard? We won't even engage a target in Iraq without PID AND NVG's. It's the safest way

  • @ChopperDoc181 NVG's require batteries too btw. LOL.

  • It doesn't matter how many additional weapons you can buy for the price of an acog. A good weapon with a good sight gets you on target; faster, takes out the enemy, and keeps you alive, which is worth more than a few extra low quality weapons that will just get you killed. You can always steal the guns from the dozens of poorly armed enemies you will vanquish, if you really want more.

  • coolio but i dont feel like puttin out close to a fuckin grand for a nice lil acog to put on a rifle that cost the same just dont seem logical like gold plating a hi point

  • OK FOR THE PRICE OF JUST ONE OF THERE SCOPES I COULD GET A VERY NICE AR OR XCR OR THREE AKS OR A NICE BOLT GUN BUT YET STILL I THINK TRIJICON SCOPES ARE JUST A WAIST OF MONEY TOO EXPENSIVE AND JUST THE PRICE OF ONE SCOPE I COULD GET MORE GUNS FOR THE MONEY I STILL BELEIVE IF YOU WANT A GOOD SCOPE AIM POINT EOTECH AND RUSSIAN MADE COBRA ARE TEN TIMES BETTER THAN TRIJICON

  • I just got the TA31FG for my Bushmaster AR-15 and it is baddass!!! No more batteries or rheostat to mess with, like on red dot scopes! :)

  • I'd love to have a HK G3 with a crosshair or chevron ACOG. So beautiful.

  • used the ACOG in Iraq and during a firefight while running to find cover, the sight came loose (to my fault) fell off in the middle of the road. HMMWV ran over the sight. after the firefight went back, found the ACOG slapped it back on the M4. Got back to the FOB and reconfirmed the zero, perfect, still on money. well worth the money, great sight! HOOAH!

  • I built a Race Gun. A 1911. I do not need a sight.

The bullet goes where I wish.

    Rich

  • One of my dream guns is a POF 308 with a 308 ACOG on top. Suppressed. Talk about a work of art.

  • ok its silly when the sight is more expensive than the gun im sorry thats why i wont buy trijicon scopes to expensive sorry but im not going to throw my money away for a scope when i could buy more guns

  • @cordel666 y not make that gun 2 times the gun instead of having 2 guns

  • @extreme5050 have you ever shot an AR before?

id like to call myself a long range shooter but shooting black guns is one of my favorite hobbies besides that. ive shot semi and select fire versions of alot of weapons, (G36C, numerous AR's, a couple beltfeds, etc). All i can say to you is why not?

  • @extreme5050 thats might be the dumbest question I have ever heard of!

  • yeah too bad these cost 1200 bucks! i would love to have one, but id rather build an AR with iron sights for that price.

  • Many do not know the rule of thumb for scopes so i will tell you. You want an optic that cost the same or is more expensive than the gun for which you bought the optic for. It sounds crazy but dont kill me im just a messenger.

  • @extreme5050 SIEG HEIL!!

  • @extreme5050 I don't see anything wrong with it, maybe because you have lived in a nice neighborhood you whole life and don't know how dangerous the real world is you dont need guns. But to the millions, no, BILLIONS, that live in dangerous areas or who just want to protect themselves, they're FAMILY, and they're COUNTRY, guns are a gift from the havens. Before you respond to this comment, I sent a video to you and I want you to watch ALL of it before you respond to this comment.

  • @extreme5050 In case the Army goes bad... which history shows could happen.. It's YOUR job to protect yourself.

  • i wish our troops all got to use these

  • @OSHADYO we, the Army get issued these when deployed, the TA31RCO-M150CP, to be exact. Love 'em!

  • dots and circle are the same fucking thing

  • @SANDLotfan112 Not exactly. A dot is filled, a circle is "open."

  • @SANDLotfan112 | wrong. dots are circles that are filled in. Circles are hollow and just have the outline.

  • A dvance C ombat O ptical G unsights

  • What's ACOG stand for?

  • Pay attention to 0:04

He says what it stand for.....LOL

  • I didn't watch it :-(

  • On 0:04 he says:"Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight"

  • advanced combat optical gunsight

  • 10 years ago you could pick up an ACOG for $600 and $1500 would buy you a PVS14 night vision optic. Some of it's "Supply and Demand" and some of it is the fact that the dollar isn't worth as much but either way if your priorities are putting together a competent rifle for engaging multiple targets out to 600M the ACOG is worth as much as the rifle you put it on(yes it's that good). There are scopes that offer more in terms of FOV, clarity and are adjustable but not as rugged..

  • shouldnt stack ur weapons like that :x

  • 500.00 would be GREAT

  • 500 would be phenomenal

  • Does anyone know where the CHEAPEST place to buy one is.

  • @boyfat1997 What do you consider cheap?

  • Join the marines.

  • there is no cheap REAL acog scope line go get a bushnell trophy for 110 its the same thing but not as good

  • can you get a crosshair with a chevron in the middle?

  • are there any adjustable magnification acog sight?

  • trijicon makes some adjustable magnification sights, but not in the ACOG line

  • yeah they are expensive but man are they great. Def worth the money if your depending your life on your rifle. And if you got some extra money laying around why the hell not go get one lol

  • tax return time. ar15 flat top with acog oh ya.

  • ACOGs cost big money but DAMN would I LOVE have one

  • @1guncrazy1 Get one at an airsoft store for like 60 bucks

  • The Bindon Aiming Concept is not about utilizing Fiber Optic illumination..its about shooting with both eyes open.

  • lol hahahahaahhahahaha he said abbrieviations for half the words he said then explained what they stood for lol

  • not to mension that scope is rated for 556 ive yet to see a dmr that wasnt a 204 a 270 or a 308 , so yeah u failed ......next plz

  • Wikipedia: wiki/United_States_Marine_Corps_Designated_Marksman_Rifle

  • lol mad

  • loollolololol

  • As long as the citations are true to the article, Wikipedia can be completely reliable.

  • a new trijicon acog is 15 hundred dollars, thats as much as a new ar15. rediculous amount of money

  • Not really... For joe blow, yes it's pricey. For someone who actually relies on their rifle to perform their job, it's a bargain.

  • do u rely on ur rifle for ur proteciton?

  • Train with your open sights til you can shoot like you have a scope then move up to optics.... you can buy lower end acogs as well. As a side note, there are many rifles with optics with costs as much or more than the weapon.

  • thanks, im an instructor, but again thanks lol

  • The kind of rifles most people are putting ACOG's on aren't the $1500 type. ACOG's are usually part of a DMR style kit in which the rifle would cost $2000 or more.

  • A gunsmith wouldn't be telling people how to spend their money.

  • yeah ok, are u saying im not a gunsmith lololol and my good friend who does work on some of my rifles doesnt charge at all lolz he's a gunsmith as well. gunsmiths arent in it for the money pal !~

  • If you aren't in it for the money then why do you care what other people do with theirs?

    You're upset. Clearly.

  • Mad.

  • oh more from u? gtfo go play counterstike ima go play vegas 2 :)

  • good optics cost money noobsauce. Optics take a lot of hours to build, they aren't made by robots but by very skilled workers.

  • noobsauce>? and what do you do for work?

  • he plays world of warcraft

  • lolololol

  • LOL = Laughing out loud. You are laughing out loud out loud out loud out loud.

  • @getemhi thanks for the lesson son...

  • ACOG's are not cheap the 7 shown in the video altogether must be atleast 7 grand

  • why so expendive its just steel and glass the materials in them dont cost that much

  • It uses fiber optics to stay lit in low light environments.

Also the tridium keeps it lit in no light environments.

    Tridium is radioactive.

  • i know abot tritium and the amount u need foe a small crossair u can buy online for about 20 bucks, still they are overpriced

  • i have a question , if u go in the army and u go to iraq can u choose your wepons or weppon equipment lik uf u want a acog

  • depends on ur job

  • Does anyone know if ACOGs work like a red dot? Like will the reticle stay on target even if I'm not looking directly straight down the sight?

  • YES

  • yep, plus it magnifies, AND you do not need any batteries-due to the red thing on top that collects ambient light.

  • No, red dots either use Holographics like EOtech or LEDs like aimpoint. Acogs either use Black reticles in daytime and Tritium at night or have the bent fiber optic tube that draws light and illuminates during day or night. There are NO batteries. And No it is not a projected image that moves like a red dot or any other projected moa sight.

  • sidescrollin is absolutely right the acog uses a fiber optic/tritium light source and an etched reticle

  • the dot reticle is quite large.....is the aiming point at the top of circle?

  • 900 - 2350 roughly

  • Does any body know if there exist ACOGs in 6.8 claibration?(Yes, I am too lazy to check thier website)

  • As far as we know they do not make a 6.8 reticle.

  • @brownellsinc

Trijicon actually makes a Acog with 6.8spc BDC

  • @fididle The TA31H-68 and TA31H-68-A

  • @fididle call of duty would say yes :D

  • @fididle Then have now started making 6.8 calibrated acogs.

  • @fididle Yes, there is a 6.8 model. Visit the Trijicon website. However, the 6.5 grendel is a superior round in every possible respect.

  • don't forget 6x magnification

  • dud you get what you pay for, the people that have to put their lives in dager have found them to work better then anything else currently availble to them.

if you had to bet your life on the reliability of an optic its kind of hard to spend to much.

also tritium ain't cheap plus the time and amount of parts, mirrors, fiber optics and so on the price isn't terribly unreasonable.

oh and to get a good night vision scope you could spend up 10k if not beyond, lame excuse, try again

  • military personel have to buy them for themselves. no tax help.

  • the marine corps is in the process of giving every marine an ACOG for his/her rifle

  • How much are we talking about here? How about for the ones used in this vid? What's the MSRP for those about?

    Much more than EOTECH?

  • ACOGs can go anywhere from $700 to $1300 give or take.

    EOTECHs are ~$350 IIRC

  • Ive seen Acogs running in the 3000s... they go higher than 1300

  • Dude ACOGs are freakin epic... they are well worth the price and beyond reliable...

  • What...Epic on COD4?

  • No... epic in real world situations and for use by both military and non-military personnel. Screw COD4

  • Yea, but for the price it should have night vision or a laser range finder at the least. Do they even have a Lifetime Warranty? lol

  • which model is the :11 seconds in?

    I WANT IT

  • that green m4 with the ACOG look so cool i could make love to!!!!!

  • does the trijicon acog scopes give you a range in side

  • Just ordered the TA31ECOS. It's the dual-sighting sytem with the 4-power ACOG and a Doctor Red Dot Mounted on top. My ranger buddy had one and I loved it. Taking it with me wherever from now on. I highly recomment.

  • how much?

  • I paid about $1900 for the optics, the KillFLASH anti-reflection, and the caps. Expensive, but very high quality. I got a 10K bonus to go be a Ranger so it didn't bother me at all. Scope is tough as hell. Very worth it.

  • 1900? There's a few on ebay for less than 1000. ... But that being said, I understand there are people who don't deal with ebay.

  • Yeah I figured but this was the case, but I was gonna take this into the desert with me. I wanted the warranty, and it was probably more for the mental assurance of it.

  • EXACTLY! a close friend of mine lost over 2,500 on eBay trying to buy a LCD HD TV. I told him not to and it wasn't a good idea. but he said it was a steal at that price. which i said "UHHH! shouldn't that raise a warning flag?!" and yep, he sent the money and recieved no TV. poor bastard!

  • Paypal covers up to I think 1000 dollars if fraud has occurred. Sorry for your friend. The thing about ebay is that you get to see the user response. My rating is 100%, 56 very good transations, no fraud. All transactions I made, I check people's ratings before doing business. I only buy small items like sunglasses, cameras, watches. Big items are no go because of shipping cost.

  • oh yeah, too true! i agree, i've only done a little business on ebay (no big items... like 57 inch TV's). got rid of some old toys like paintball stuff and the like. problem was he was so caught up in the moment and it seemed like a great deal. i do believe he got some money back... but he lost 2,500. ANYWAYS! back to the topic! i'm saving for a TA31TRD! so sweet! so nice! want to touch the trijicon!

  • There are also ACOG fakes, they look like acogs on the outside but there really just red dot sites. You can tell if there fake if you can see the iron sight looking through the scope. There at gun shows.

  • more than an AR.

  • I just ordered a TA31 too, online for $1300. After you figure everything all out that's the only scope you want for the AR. So just don't jump right in there yet with this model in the video. Like Rolex China makes imitations for $125 to. If you got a airsoft gun it be OK.

    Really nice Video Brownellsinc.

  • yeah man TA31TRD for me... what recticle did you go with? chevron, circle, cross hairs?

  • only the best for our troops eh? never used one but when my dad was doing contractor business in iraq he had an ACOG think it was the chevron he said "looking behind this scope i knew i was going to hit whatever i aimed at"

  • Just brought one. I hear that the US State Dept has just banned their export out of the US. Most Service Rifle shooters here in New Zealand seem to have the Acog rig on their competition rifles.

  • Red dot sights provide 1.5x to 3x magnification

  • it is easier, faster to acquire targets at close range with lower magnification. This is not a sniper scope, it was designed for fast, and well placed shots. Try it with any scope. Lower magnification = faster target acquisition

Higher magnification = slower target acquisition.

    Its a trade off.

  • I have a TA31F on my AR, It really is the best Optic you can put on a AR, they do cost alot but worth every penny. The Chevron reticle is by far the best for group size and speed out to 300M then you use the BDC out to 800M. There are so much different ACOGs but I will name the 2 most used the TA31 is what the military and alot of civis put on there AR's and the TA33 a newer ACOG is the new TA11 but alot lighter and smaller if you are on the market for an ACOG you cannot go wrong with the TA31F.

  • yeahhhhh...

  • soooo

  • I got the Compact TA44 with an amber dot retical.

    Check out my gun videos.
