@ConcreteAngel2 His name was Phillip Liss. What's really bizzare was he graduated from the same school I was going to at the time (Hontech24 @ MMI, Phoenix) and he was riding the same bike too. He pulled up next to me around the Morongo, revved his engine and took off and I didn't see him again till the Arizona border.
@ConcreteAngel2 That's where I saw him at a gas station, where I found out he had to push his bike a mile to because he ran out of gas just before than. This was during summer too when it was like 115 outside. I didn't talk to him at the gas station but he pulled up next to me again like 15 miles down the freeway. We stopped at the next rest stop and talked for a little and that's how I found out more about him. He was on his way to Texas from California.
@ConcreteAngel2 I told him to stop by my apartment in Phoenix for a little and chill for a little since it was a far ride. About 5 miles after the rest stop was where the incident happened.
i bet he got throttle happy and when he went to use his breaks he was going too fast and paniced only thing he could have done was moved his weight back and low and locked up his rear break and just about lock up the front breaks... obey laws and you dont die* ido
I'm still not sure what he was thinking. The SUV was clearly in front of us like 500 feet ahead and it looked like he opened the throttle and went straight into it.
Maybe he was trying to commit suicide. I know its kinda out-there comment, but a patient at my office said one of her friends daughters committed suicide but ramming her car into the back of a big rig that was stopped and she was doing 80+, maybe thats what he was trying, and unfortunately succeeded
@MsOsabear Yeah I was thinking the same thing too especially after I talked to his mom through email and found out that he had been fighting with his gf, but I dont want to say this is the case. It could have been just an accident.
yea it might have been....but considering the fact that he had to have SEEN the vehicle before plowing into it my guess is that it was intentional...even if it wasnt its still a tragedy and its very sad
You said he hit the vehicle in from which way ?

Perhaps he tried to pass then got vertigo or something.
Or the bike throttle was rigged with a hidden servo?
Maybe mutant squirrels chewed the brake lines.
