Yeah, his intonation (pitch) is off in the first bit in his lower range. Probably because he is a tenor and it's not his best bit of his voice. Improves when he gets into the higher parts, but his voice sounds tired overall. This knocked my socks off when I saw them live in Liverpool. Such a great song - so musical.

And Dog Man Star is the most under-rated album ever. How many bands could follow up a classic debut with an equally classic second album? Can't think of any. Even the great Stone Roses couldn't quite manage it.

I remember this too. I used to watch every music show back in the early to mid 90s, mainly because there wasn't many. Later was great and Suede were always great on it. This is a show-stopping moment this one. Brett can really sing and I wish he still sounded like that. They were and still are the most under-rated and important band of the 90s. Oasis aswell but we all know about them anyway. I always preffered Suede's songs more.
