  • Huh... I didn't see this as a gaming technique, more of a battle report technique, or perhaps a storytelling technique.

Its TheoryHammer. A new way to look at the game. I don't think they want to change how you play the game, just give you a new perspective.

    I think its very interesting.

  • Honestly... i don't get the point of this. Who needs a dark room and a flashliight to find out whether a model can see another one? This just seems like a classical case of over complicating and over thinking things.

What is next? Spending hours with spanning a net of red cords from one model to another, like in that TV show "Dexter"?

If you don't trust your own eyes with seeing whether a model is in cover or not in daylingt, you can just use the laser pointer provided by GW, or a generic one.

  • wait what exactly is visual hammer? im confused now!

  • Visualhammer is another form a warhammer analysis. For example mathhammer is about statistics, well visual hammer looks at how the actual size and shape of the model can interact with your army. For example flying stand tanks don't hide troops well because the enemy can still get line of sight. However a landraider is perfect to use as a meat shield. So when you compare the shadow effect of one model to anothers you can see there visualhammer attributes.

  • ya i get it now,

i can understand the need for it in 5th ed with the 50/50 cover rule

  • dude thats really sweet, 5 stars
