  • somewhere between 20-sept and 25-oct 1985, the song i got you babe was #1 in NZ for those 5 weeks

  • Great music of course, but no video clips for the songs?!

  • I was only ten when this was new and I disliked most of the music but, it's the fact that it takes me back to such good years of my life that makes me happy

  • I was 18 at the time. This makes me think about how real music was then, not dubbed or remixed. And you wouldn't have a single with 5 different mixes of the same song! Love this thanks for posting :)

  • I remember every single one of these songs, and I was just a little kid. Most songs in todays top 20 will be forgotten in a couple of months.

  • Yep def around Oct/Nov 1985. The number 1 song of Chrissie Hynde with UB40 was filmed at Live Aid in July of 1985. Jennifer Rush's Power of love was either on the way out or up to number 1. This must have been very close to A-ha's Take on Me release.

  • Raddist opening sequence ever ..

  • back in the days when nite clubbin was pumpin

  • Based on the number one song, this occurred sometime between 20 September 1985 and 1 November 1985.

  • You even included the Top 20 Countdown to. Nice one.

  • listened to them to many times , can't stand any of trhem now (LOL) lucky I still like new music

  • have u got stuff from 1988?

  • This was the best lineup in the history of um...everything! Compare these epic tunes to the garbage on the charts today!

  • @mattblack77nz

  • As they say, those where the days!

    Thank you for the comment.

  • Woah! How cool is this? Thanks for uploading - a whole lotta memories there! :-)

  • I think that must have been shortly after Live Aid.

  • Could be anywhere between August and October '85.

  • Yeah, 'Alive and kicking' was released in '85.

  • RTR Countdown 1985

  • Some quality mid-80s material in here! Great hair-styles and utilization of synths too...

  • 85-86 for sure

  • 1985 all these songs are...not 1990s

  • Yep gotta be 1986- 1987 ish
