T.O.M. was more than just a tv block host...he was a legend. Not only did he play action-packed anime shows for 4 hours every day after school, but he also reviewed video games, had his own comic series, went on his own adventures (like The Intruder), and even taught us life lessons and morals. T.O.M. was, hands-down, the best tv host I've ever seen. If T.O.M. was a marine, I would bestow upon him the Medal of Honor. T.O.M. may have been murdered by CN, but he will never die in my heart. :'D
@ninetales98, It will take a team of Superb artists and people patient and passionate enough about Toonami to pull it off (in the long run). Keep in touch and i'll keep you updated. I'm just a Toonami faithful like you, not one of the people who work with the company. But i breathe Toonami, and plan to bring it back, or if it comes back sooner than later, participate in its broadcast. I, (or we) will find a way. But like i said, keep in touch.
First time I saw Gohan raping Cell in DBZ was thanks to Toonami. First time I saw Yusuke figting the Four Beats in Yu Yu Hakusho was thanks to Toonami. First time I got into Electronica was thanks to Toonami. Tom & Toonami were THE SHIT. Thank u for the memories. *fades into nostalgia*
toonami was the single influence of me really getting into downtempo samplers and turntablists and beat makers. they introduced me to musical groups that not only take ideas from electronica, but also grow their roots in Jazz. Hint, Cinematic Orchestra, DJ Shadow, Jaga Jazzist... the list goes on. they formed much of my musical taste and it is still growing to this day, but it would not have started without toonami.
@honk1390 Same here, honk. I would never have found great artists like Nujabes or MF Doom, or gotten into electronica and Daft Punk without Toonami. Thanks for the memories; the world is a worse place without you, TOM.
Toonami was the only thing that was really cool on Cartoon network. If they kept it Cool like it was back in the day and only improved what needed to be improved It would still be the best after school program. But they kind of killed it with fillers of Naruto and one Piece. Plus this is just me but Tom2 was the best.(in the video) He was kid size but at the same time he look like a bad ass/cool. Tom#3 look too human and kind of dull. Tom#4 was....lets just say it made my face like this (-.-)
toonami wasnt just the greatest thing on cartoon network it made cartoon network for what it is. nothing else really comes close to toonami i what we watch when we got out of school showed us thing that had us buzzing the next day and gave us great memories. when i have kids and they tell me daddy why is there nothing good on tv i going to tell them cuz they took away toonami and nothing will ever come close to it again R.I.P toonami
How the hell did Toonami still do stuff like this? Look, I can't stop this video from overflowing with comments, I'm not built to absorb the thoughts and feelings of everyone here, but I know we're all out there. People like me, who grew up on Toonami, maybe earlier than I did, maybe later than I did/ No matter whatt era/show you watched on it, we're all connected by this mystical space program, the Absolution, and Tom. They brought us all together as one.
As far as I can tell, those who grew up with Toonami were one of the best generations in television history. NOTHING comes close to what's on TV now, and what came on before. And now it's gone.....
Why is it everyone of us have the same thing in common... we miss em good old times, and ur right u dont know how valuable something can be until u lose it
@JoelAndres16 to true mate thats y you should charish the moment that you have and not take it for granit(i dont thik i spelled that right)...unless we found a way to time travel but even then
child hood promises broken. Thats all adulthood promises, the death of dream.

Toonami needs its own damn channel. showing newer kid friendly anime in the morning and day, and old classics at night.

Sadly, I wanted to put in something about his music, but I ran out of letters.

@vol009S Yeah the ad had all of the overlaying footage and audio. But I like the actual song, it's serene in a different sort of way...
